Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Antônio Tavernard: vida em versos de um flâneur estático(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-02-02) JANGOUX, Izabela de Almeida Alves; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125AntônioTavernard is a poet whose literary work has not inspired many cientific studies. The little that is known about him is the little part taught: a sad poet and pessimist and romantic poetry. Therefore, Tavernard´s writing brings more elements than we use to think. The real drama the poet lived represents a lot for the ones who aims to understand his texts, but it shall not be the only way to be followed by Tavernard´s readers. The life he lived on the backyard of his house and the social segregation due to an uncurable illness made possible the revelation of new views over a common situation. This research proposes a different path through Tavernard’s poetry work, recognizing its poetic spaces. With Walter Benjamin’s definition of flâneur, this adjective is applied to the poet on a metaphoric way, because even on a physically static form, he wanders through Belém in the beginning of the 20th century using his feelings and readings, showing the city singularly, much like Baudelaire has once done to Paris.By the reading of many editions of the now exctinct ‘A Semana’ magazine, this research also shows the relation the poet’s work had with a contemporary audience made up by many famous writers from the local scene like, for example, Bruno the Menezes.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A aventura histórico-literária: uma leitura de “O Tetraneto Del-Rei” de Haroldo Maranhão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-08-05) MUNIZ, Aline de Souza; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125O Tetraneto Del-Rei is masterpiece that blend languages, genders and discourses and weave, in this tangled thread, na original text, that recreate part of our colonial period destructively questioning the cristalized discourse bi the history and even by texts that compound our literary Canon. The texts used in the work of the paraense Haroldo Maranhão are reconstructed in a tone, especially ironic, revealing another viwe of the Colonization Process. With this, stating from literary production of countries with colonization similar to our, I begin the lecture considering some Works like Silviano Santiago, Antonio Candido and Roberto Schwarz. Besides that, we have to considerate historical and social aspects of the portuguese contract and of the speech constructed about the recent discovered lands and its inhabitants, speeches that will be reafirmed and reconstructed by the literary text. In this sense, there going to be utilized some XV sicle texts that will help to demonstrate the aspects of the colonial speech and sistematize them with base in Eni Orlandi, Homi Bhabha and Michel de Certau. The culture, in this sense, is so complexified by it be a result of a contact between different social groups and, so, to necessity of a deep study about its formation. The literature, in this context, reflects this cultural complexity. In this aspect, the literature, used like history and culture forms, is a great reference of information that can expose many mysteries about the cultural formation in different levels, from local to global. The conjuncture of a biggest intercultural contact reaches the Amazon area, being reflected, mainly, by the migratory aspect after the top of commercialization of rubber, the called boom of rubber, during the second part of 19th century and the first part of 20th century. The Bruno de Menezes’ literature, in Candunga, makes references to this reality linked to humans displacements, more directly gives focus to Railroad Belém-Bragança. In this sense, our focus of study will be the relation established between migrants northeastern and the Amazon caboclos, this last represented by the voice of Candunga’s narrator, detainer of a cultural discourse favorable to Amazon man of bragantina zone. We’ll perceive that occurs a cultural and identity conflict in many parts of Candunga by the emergency of differences between caboclos and northeastern. We’ll note an affirmation discourse, by the narrator, of Amazon culture in detriment of northeastern culture. But, we’ll don’t forget to emphasize the cultural hybridization present in the Bruno de Menezes’s novel.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O cavalo desembestado do pensamento: fluxo de consciência como condutor da narrativa em Afonso Contínuo, Santo de altar, de Lindanor Celina(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-30) REIS, Gleice do Socorro Bittencourt dos; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; : http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2507-5346This dissertation analyzes the novel "Afonso Contínuo, Santo de Altar" (1986), by Lindanor Celina, which is an inexhaustible source of interesting and important topics from a literary and social point of view, as it addresses controversial issues that provoke fertile and necessary debates. The relevance of a study like this is in the appreciation of our Amazonian authors who, even when [just] talking about their homeland, developed extremely universal subjects in their works. The general objective of this work is to analyze the construction of the novel's narrative from the flow of consciousness' perspective, aiming to understand the meanings that can be extracted in this process. The specific objectives are: to identify which techniques are used for the composition of the flow of consciousness; delimit the narrative focus used in the novel; and list and analyze the topics discussed. This research will address the "flow of consciousness", concept absorbed from Psychological studies, to define writings that have, as a major characteristic, the construction of the narrative through the psychological aspects of the characters. To understand the building of this technique, it is also necessary to identify and analyze the point of view or the narrative focus, since the study of focusing also allows the possibility of to delimit certain understandings about life and the world around.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Colagem, antropofagia e subversão em Galvez imperador do Acre, de Márcio Souza(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-18) SANTOS, Francisco Ewerton Almeida dos; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125This paper discusses the novel Galvez imperador do Acre, Amazon published in 1976 by the Amazonas’s writer Márcio Souza, establishing relationships between the literary and the aesthetic avant-garde modernist proposals, both in Europe and Brazil, offering thus the investigation of the relationship between modernism and Post-Modernism, and the relations between literature, society, history and culture. We will address issues such as the redefinition of literary texts or not in Galvez imperador do Acre through the process of collage and intertextuality, the relationship between the novel and the historical moment which incorporates, as well as one in which it was produced, the rescue of the past a critical and transformative approaches and possibilities of reading the literary text with a view to theories post-modernist and post-colonialists. We observe, therefore, how it reproduces the Belle Epoque and the extraction of latex in the Amazon and its aesthetic fragmentary, consisting of several citations of canonical authors, investigating the functioning of collage and cannibalism as the main tools of subversion to the complaint and cultural process Import of European values lived by Amazon capitals at the time represented by the novel and whose criticism can be extrapolated to the whole process of cultural formation in Brazil and the Amazon. For this, we will bring into question the theories of Jacques Derrida, Walter Benjamin, Claude Levi-Strauss, Fredric Jameson, Luiz Costa Lima, Antonio Candido, Aijaz Ahmad, Homi Bhabha, Stuart Hall, Canclini, Silviano Santiago, Angel Rama, Linda Hutcheon, Antoine Compagnon, among others, in order to, from the novel under review, deepen the theoretical discussion about the relationship between literary texts and comparative between Literary Studies and other fields of study.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As formas do mito nos cantares amazônicos do poeta João de Jesus Paes Loureiro(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-06-25) SILVA, Nivaldo Carlos Lima da; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125It analyses the poems from Amazon Trilogy objectifying to point out how the poet relives and recreates a little bit about the History of Amazon. It analyses the possible interpretations in the adaptation process as recreation of the novel, and discussing themes like the family, the forbidden passions and the tragedy. This analysis is based on the common point of view of the authors like Freud, Bataille, Marcuse, Bakhtin and Nietzsche, which references make easier the secular comprehension of interdict, prohibition, and transgression, all these aspects founded in Raduan’s novel.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Leituras intertextuais de O Tetraneto del-rei de Haroldo Maranhão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-25) POMPEU, Thaís do Socorro Pereira; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125This work focuses on researching Haroldo Maranhão‟s writing, trying to comprehend the aspects that influenced this autor, as well as the particularity of his writing, full of scholar features, in parallel with its obscene phrases and expressions of popular value. For accomplishing that, this work was based on an analysis of his great work Tetraneto Del-Rei, which presents issues related to our colonization period with a wealth of details, however under a different and reinterpretive prism from the various signs and elements manifested in the work of Haroldo. The image of the character Torto converges to the reinterpretive character, a Portuguese colonizer who stars moments of weakness, anxiety, fears and desires, feelings which are not included in previous works which have spread the imaginary of a hero in prose and verse. As a conceptual and literary allowance, we present precursors authors when compared to Haroldo Maranhão, seeking its relations with the style of those previous authors. Finally, this study aimed to demonstrate the presence of three intertextual elements in Tetraneto Del-Rei: new readings of the colonization process, the hat significance and the obscene possible interpretations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Leituras: literatura e [homo] erotismo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-02-17) CORRÊA, Paulo José Maués; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Literatura nas redes da Pós-modernidade: a adaptação de Dois irmãos, de Milton Hatoum, em quadrinhos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-28) FERREIRA, Fabrício de Miranda; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125The adaptations are related to the technological revolutions that marked the cultural expressions of the contemporary world. In this context, of the so-called postmodern art, of multiple voices and signs, the practice of adaptation intensified, becoming recurrent. Thus we can observe intertextuality in adaptation: the text is based on other texts to be created, existing completely through an intertextual relation with the former. Thus, an analysis of this adaptation would take into account the relations of intertextuality that adaptation has with the adapted work, and how the comic adaptation recreates these relations through its own language, in this case, the language of comics. In this sense, this research started with the following question: if the adaptation is a process whose product is an autonomous work and loaded with new meanings, how is literature reinterpreted and recreated in the adaptation to comics in the context of postmodern art? Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the adaptation of the novel Dois Irmãos by Milton Hatoum as a formal product and as a process of reinterpretation and re-creation of a literary work in the context of postmodern art. Finally, this research provided reflections on the adaptation of a literary work and its place in the problematic of contemporary art, starting from the analysis of the intertextual dialogical relations that are established between the literary and the comics in the process of adaptation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Marajó: espaço, sujeito e escrita(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-09-04) VELOSO, Ivone dos Santos; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125This work thinks the romance Marajó, written by Dalcídio Jurandir as a culture good in a after-colonial perspective, in the which is questioned and re-articulated the hegemonic speeches and those ones that become the modernity.homogeneous. I consider, in this manner, to defend the idea that, to the similarity of the archipelago of Marajó, the romance homonym of Dalcídio Jurandir can say us that under the apparent homogeneity of the region it is the ambivalent and the heterogeneous, and that this narrative redefine, therefore, the symbolic process and the social imaginary on the Amazonian that, traditionally, have constituted the image of this region. For in such a way, I demonstrate how is forged a new cultural sign from the representation of a space that oscillates between document and fiction, as well as from the representation of a citizen in bordering and ambivalent condition and of a writing that makes itself fragmentary and double. The theoretical frecital of this study consists, over all, in backgrounds about the construction of established represent a nation and create a cultural identity, mainly, by Timothi Brennan, Homi Bhabha and Stuart Hall, as well as, in the idea of dissimulation and supplement inferred of the studies of Barthes and Jacques Derrida; in the contributions of Deleuze and Guatarri, Donaldo Schuller, Finazzi-Agro,Garcia Canclini, Costa Lima, Angel Rama, amongst other, to think the condition of the citizen and the construction of the space about the Dalcídio”s narrative, and, still, in the analytical contributions of researchers of the Dalcídio‟s work as Assmar, Vicente Salles, Marli Tereza Furtado, Castilo, dentre many other.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Max Martins: diálogo entre o verbal e o visual plástico na cena literária em Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-15) SANTOS, Ilton Ribeiro dos; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6393961522804578Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A metaficção nos romances Boca do Inferno e Desmundo, de Ana Miranda(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-05-14) COSTA, Carla Patrícia da Silva Guedes; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2507-5346This dissertation is a study about the theme of metafiction in the follow narratives: Dias & Dias (2002), Clarice Lispector (1996), A última quimera (1995), Amrik (1997) and, it’s focuses, for the most part, in the historical novels Boca do Inferno (1989) and Desmundo (1996), all of them by Ana Miranda. In the last two novels abovementioned, whose the plots retake the context of the Brazilian colonial period, there is the possibility of thinking of a historical deconstruction, cause the writer uses documents and facts to write hers novels. The work will be built with the objective of observing how the mosaic of historical texts makes possible the Ana Miranda’s construction of the metatextual process in her novels, mainly in Boca do Inferno and Desmundo. Moreover, this work will analyze also the interrelationship discourse of a narrator who uses not only the aesthetic-narrative resource of literature, but also the historical context of the narrative, cause in this way, it will be possible to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of Gregório de Matos Guerra and Oribela who are characters respective of Boca do Inferno and Desmundo, considering the moment of Portuguese colonization in national territory. It will be showed, mainly in these two novels that the instituitions sovereign power as State and Church determine some characters' behavior. Lastily, it will also be analyzed the construction of the female subject, emphasizing, mainly, the repression of her actions in the colonial context of narrative. Therefore, considering the discussion about the historiographical metafiction (HUTCHEON, 1991 and WHITE 1995), It will try to understand the process of metafiction of Ana Miranda as a characteristic that makes possible the problematization of the historical discourses that are retake in hers works. In this way, it will be possible to show the fact that the metafiction is used to establish in the literary text an atmosphere of confrontation and counterpoint, cause It’s possible to deterritorialize the meaning of truth of the official discourses, but not forgetting that the point of view of the narration, being occupied by a subject on the margin, makes to be possible another fictional horizon.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As mulheres choradeiras: literatura e cinema(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-11) VIEIRA, Mônica do Corral; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125This work aims to understand and study the Amazon culture and also to produce qualified knowledge on Literature and Cinema in the Amazon, as well as its relation to artistic strategies attempting to interpret them. To achieve this objective I use the tale „The keeners', by Fabio Castro, and the homonym short film, by Jorane from Castro, allowing a focused study on a specific material of analysis focused on the customs, beliefs, myth, hybridization and intercultural translations which emerge from this work. The purpose of this research is to study the tale and the short film, emphasizing the difference in distinct used languages and show the “universal reading” that is possible to withdraw from each of these artistic expressions. This research intends to present a “universal reading” from a paraense tale themed on the Amazon reality and emphasize the study of myths and oral traditions which involve the creation and spreading of Fabio Castro‟s tale. The myths and oral traditions allow a (re)construction and development of knowledge that underlie the activity of reading (such as artistic, cultural, social, philosophical and historical knowledge) as well as enrich and (re)assert the Latin American identity. Therefore, this research aims to relate the story of the tale to other readings, such as their approach and similarity to myths, oral traditions and other literature in general. It is understood, therefore, that all these elements constitute a rich literature of great importance to the world, not just to the region where it was produced.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Necronarrativas em três romances contemporâneos brasileiros(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-07-30) AUTIELLO, Sheila Lopes Maués; RUSSO, Vincenzo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4108882812232683; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2507-5346This thesis deals with the occurrence of necronarratives in Contemporary Brazilian Literature from the novels Pssica (2015), by Edyr Augusto; Enterre seus mortos (2018), by Ana Paula Maia and A Morte e o Meteoro (2019) by Joca Reiners Terron. The objective is to analyze, from an analytical-comparative approach, how the narratives fictionalize the necropolitical processes of Brazilian society in the last five years. The research proposes the analysis of the novels from three critical axes: the first corresponds to the expendable bodies, which will be based on the concepts of naked life, by Giorgio Agamben (2002) and precarious life, by Judith Butler (2019); the second, concerns the predatory presence of "Gore" businesses, which is based on the studies on "Gore" Capitalism, by Sayak Valencia (2010) and, finally, the third, which relates to the recurrence of the image of the undead or zombie, having as its reading key the studies of Deleuze and Guattari (2010) and Leo Barros (2020). The study focuses on the thematic analysis of the works, despite making brief incursions into other narrative elements. It is concluded that the novels studied are part of a structuring force of Romanesque composition, which aesthetically represents the Brazilian necropolitical processes, which I called necronarrative. Therefore, it is understood that the works analyzed, are part of an excerpt from the Brazilian novel that is concerned with aesthetically problematizing life starting from the necropolitics (MBEMBE, 2018). The characterization of necronarratives occurs, above all, by the representations of the precariousness of contemporary bodies; the emergence of criminal markets that flourish in groups subjected to deadly conditions and the initiation of symbolic processes of social zombification. It is, however, a study that identifies a trend and not a generalization.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) No resflor da idade: a velhice em Corpo de baile(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-28) HENRIQUE, Rosalina Albuquerque; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2507-5346; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3971-9007In this thesis, a discussion is proposed around the figurations of oldness based on the narratives of Corpo de baile (1956), Camilo, Cara-de-Bronze, Liodoro, Manuelzão and Rosalina, written by Guimarães Rosa (1908-1967), whose stories make us discuss about their human condition that remains unfinished when the evocation of the following discourse is marked: that the current old condition does not destine them to nothing. As opposed to this, they continue to feed feelings, desires and projects. When highlighting the importance of Guimarães Rosa’s literary production for the Brazilian literature scenario, some considerations about oldness (from yesterday to the third age of today) and its correlation with death will be noted. For this, the work is improved in bibliographical research, as in Beauvoir (2018), Ariès (2014), Elias (2001), Bosi (1994), Bolsanello, A.; Bolsanello, M. (1981), Kübler-Ross (1981, 1996), Debert (1988, 1999) and Cícero (2006, 2011), and also produced productions of students from Guimarães Rosa as Rónai (2020), Oliveira; Schröder (2020), Salles (2020), Leonel; Nascimento (2018), Diogo (2017), Mendonça (2013), Lucchese (2011), Ferraz (2010), Holanda (2009), Fantini (2008), Zilberman (2007), Xisto (1991), Brasil (1969), Ramos (1968), Candido (1964), Lins (1963), Secco (1994, 2003), Martins (1996, 2001), Passos (2000, 2007), Roncari (2007, 2008), Atroch (2013, 2017), Marchelli (2016, 2018), Nunes (1957, 1998, 2000, 2009) and Vasconcelos (1996, 1997, 1998). The theoretical scope is that of the Aesthetics of reception, proposed by Jauss (1994, 1982, 2002) through a hermeneutics addressed on the reader based on Gadamer (2002), in which the primary interest lies in the way the work of art should be received, taking into account the relationship between text and reader or even between effect and reception, without losing sight of the importance of the value and aesthetic experience of the work received and for those destined, assuming, in this sense, a new posture for the reader in which the literary work only exists when it is motivated by this subject, central to both aesthetic and historical knowledge. Finally, based on the aesthetic-recepcional method, discussions pertaining to oldness in Corpo de baile will be established: the relationship of the individual with time, the world and with his own history will be left aside.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Palavra e imagem: encontros da escritura literária com escritura cinematográfica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-08-16) CASTRO, Jacksonilson dos Santos; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125This work is presented as an approach to word and image and your chances of encounters in literary and cinematographic texts from notion of writing. Its build is developed in a way of not following a historical path of these encounters, not to do it exactly in terms of chronological surveys of the theoretical thoughts that approached the text as writing literary and cinematographic images, but in the aspect of its inscription as a mental image. In this respect, the writing and reading happen as translation, passage and tour of meanings that the text produces, not enclosing a perception anchored in an understanding closed. Taking the writing as a starting point for reading the image and word in literary and cinematographic texts, and it will part from a discussion of topics of theory and criticism in large areas, supporting a transverse organization of this material that takes a set of theory in a strong transdisciplinary marking, it also promotes encounters of Literary Theory with different fields, such as the Visual Arts, films, video, painting, philosophy, history, among others. With the notion of writing used in this work became important to make some considerations based on certain ideas of Roland Barthes and Jacques Derrida, among other scholars and commentators of the term. Another term that runs through this work is the notion of translation, here taken from the reading of authors such as Márcio Seligmann-Silva, Walter Benjamin, Jacques Derrida, Paul Valery, and others. The distinctions of these terms are not due to an effort to delineate the space of fields of study, but rather to assert its perspective of just one opening, or openings, in addition there is the understanding that the membership of certain thoughts, theories and authors have already configured the marking of a position of thought, political position, indeed. The option to these conceptions prints on the bodies of objects of study – writing literary and cinematographic – a difference much in line with the dynamic and moving character of these objects, producing a theoretical resizing of strong political marking. Also it is important in this work to discuss topics of literary studies in order to allow the crossing by the other disciplines. From this outline, the work was completed with readings of literary and cinematographic texts, all of them with strong plural nature in which the encounter between image and word is promoted by writing, and is also an encounter between the theories and artistic modalities, striving for a crossing of the theories and thoughts developed during the writing of the work, in an essayistic and strong marking intertextual treatment, making these readings exercise of opening of the texts.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Questões identitárias em Alfredo: uma análise de Chove nos Campos de Cachoeira, de Dalcídio Jurandir(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-15) RODRIGUES, Mayara Cristiny Souza Martins; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125This dissertation have goal to analyze the identification process in Alfredo, in the book Chove nos campos de Cachoeira (1998), because have a white father, this Major Alberto and black mother, Dona Amélia, Alfredo feels yourself conflict and anguish, at the same time being ashamed of her mother and not recognizing himself as a white boy.
