Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre cacauais e paraná-mirins: cultura e identidade em "Cenas da vida do Amazonas"(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-06-25) TRINDADE, Maria de Nazaré Barreto; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Epopéia e transculturação em “Nativo de câncer”, de Ruy Barata(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-04-06) CONCEIÇÃO, Laurenice Nogueira da; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431This work establishes a dialogue between the poem "the native of cancer," the Para Ruy Paranatinga Barata, and the concept of transculturation Angel Rama. The stylistic analysis will be proposed by Carlos Reis (1976), according to which both the formal aspects linguistics as their transgression in the text contribute to its significance, including dialoguing with the context. The poem is discussed under the assumption that he was a modern epic of the Amazon, in which lyrical and epic amalgamate as Emil Staiger(1977), and from which the concept coined by Rama in the literature relates to the idea of regionalism and the same author of modernity, according to Baudelaire. Thus , we present the poem and its historical and literary context relating poetic form and content to the concepts of transculturation , modernity , epic, mediation and autonomy and engagement. We will see that in their structure the external elements, as a society, history and biography become internal, mainly by the use of the image, becoming a part of the text structure, as postulated Antonio Candido (2006).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A indústria cultural e a estética da crueldade em Rubem Fonseca: uma análise dos contos o Cobrador, Pierrô da Caverna e Onze de maio(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-06-30) SILVA, Rafaele Lima da; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431In literature, the phase of postmodernism shows the processes of “dehumanization” and “objectification” of the people in general. These became the focus of intensive discussions through the development of mass society, directly linked to the influences of mass media and the development of the cultural industry. Rubem Fonseca is one of the greats of literature of this time and wrote many texts that expresses the anguish of a man immersed in the context of excessive consumption, mainspring of the late capitalism. O Cobrador, a collection of short stories published in 1979, bring narratives that provoke the dialogue between sociological theories, which highlight the concepts of mass media, consumer society and the cultural industry, which belongs to the primary objective of this research. The intention of this study is to understand the expressions of this period in the “O Cobrador”, “Pierrô da Caverna” and “Onze de Maio”, stories of this work, focusing on interference that mass society and the cultural industry operated to make the creations of literature assume new characteristics. The method consists of the sociological analysis of the stories, giving special focus to the concepts of culture industry, mass society and consumer society. For analysis of the stories was of fundamental importance to theoretical apparatus of Lucien Goldmann, Luiz Costa Lima and Antônio Candido, as theorists argue that the relationship between areas such as sociology and literature, sociologists and others who promote discussions on cultural changes that the postmodernism context raises. Concurrently, this research is directed to the field of Communication Theories character of neo-Marxist and its relations with literature, highlighting the theme of the rise of mass society and the interference of the mass media in the fields of arts and other human manifestations. You can establish a dialogue between the stories and theories that explain the processes of mass society, recognizing the primacy of the laws of consumption in the procedures of the people subjected to this condition, whether the violence of some, and the superficiality of others, call based on the aesthetics of cruelty to the fictional.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Literatura de cordel: entre versos e rimas sotádicos e sacânicos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-03-16) CARVALHO, Ana Maria de; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431In general, the thematic classifications of Cordel attend educational purposes, arranged in groups which can be thematic or structure based. During the research I found thematic classifications about: religion, banditry, love etc. In the work of Alves Sobrinho (2003), among the issues cited by him, I highlight the issue of depravity, defined as that which is obscene and immoral. That same theme is called sotadic by Salles (2003), that is, productions whose contents do not follow the rules of morals and morality. This type of Cordel reached its culmination in the 50s, in the Northeast of Brazil. Currently, in the state of Para, one of its representatives is the poet Antonio Juraci Siqueira. This study aims to analyze this type of Cordel and read them as a cultural text, which is able to say something more than dirtiness. Thus, it is important to mention the relationship between laughter and sexuality which arises from the sotadic theme. The discussion will present the theoretical assumptions based on Bergson (2007), Foucault (1977), Propp (1992), Idelette Muzart-Fonseca dos Santos (2006).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Memória e migração presentes em narrativas orais de migrantes nordestinos na Amazônia paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-04-19) PIMENTEL, Flávio Reginaldo; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431This study analyzes oral narratives and life stories of migrants who have established residence in northeastern Pará Amazon called, more precisely in the region called Bragantina in the municipality of Igarapé Açu. We aim to study the mythological and epic elements present in the composition of the poem O Nativo de Câncer. In the first chapter we will study the myth by presenting the ideas of Mircea Eliade about its the occurrence in the traditional societies through the text Myth and Reality. We will also present Roland Barthes’ thinking in the text Mythologies, which approaches the ways myth occurs in the contemporaneity. Additionally we will draft the concepts about Epic by contextualizing its occurrence in Greece and by indicating its configurations, which will be contextualized posteriorly. In the second chapter we will deal with the narratives of naturalists and studious who traveled to Amazon in the last centuries, so that we comprehend how the foundation myths occur in the region and how Ruy Barata tries to untie them through his modern poetry. In the third chapter we will analyze the two chants of the poem O Nativo de Câncer with aid of Leo Spitzers “Genetic Stylistics”, justifying the use of certain rhetorical figures, so that we present in which moments and ways the poem can be similar to the myth and Epic and how these configurations express the native poets fight for the poetry in the Amazon Literature.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Mito, imaginário e sociedade em “Três casas e um rio”, de Dalcídio Jurandir(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-10-03) VALÉRIO, Elaine Pastana; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431This dissertation will address the intersection of the elements: Myth, Imagination and Society in the present work three houses and a river, the author marajoara Dalcídio Jurandir. The writer was born in the city called Muaná in Marajó Island, in Pará and entered on the cultural and literary Paraense scene as one of the few women who campaigned in the art world during this period. When she was still normalist, she became part of the student groups who fought in literary fronts. It is Important to mention that the author contributed to literary magazines which circulated in Belemense society in the first half of the twentieth century like: Guajarina, A Semana and Amazônia – which helped to spread her poetry, beyond she wrote for newspapers like: O diário and A Província, which demonstrate her insertion and importance for the literary scene of that time, under the auspices of the constitution of a local literary movement. Therefore, this research is focused on the thematic analysis of the Adalcinda poems that shown the relationship among imagery, images, symbols, place and landscape trying to make analogies with authors such as Gilbert Durand (1997), François Laplantine and Liana Trindade (1997), in a survey based on anthropology, Gaston Bachelard(2008), with his consideration of the poetic space and Milton Santos (2006), regarding the idea of landscape, still placing the phenomenological views on these issues through Sartre (1996).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Vozes da Cabanagem: os discursos da literatura e da história na construção de “O Rebelde"(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-03-08) CUNHA, Livia Sousa da; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431The short story "O Rebelde", from Inglês de Souza‘s Contos Amazônicos (1893), presents in its plot a fact of the history of Pará, the Cabanagem. In this narrative the characters experience the first manifestations of the rebels in 1832. The research was developed based on the evidence of this historical fact in the short story, observing the interaction between real and fictional, that is, how the historical fact has been recreated in the fictional universe of the author. This way, the discourses of the history were observed, from the 19th and 20th centuries, in the books Motins Políticos (1865-1890) by Domingos Antônio Raiol, Cabanagem: o povo no poder (1984) by Julio José Chiavenato, and Cabanagem: a revolução popular da Amazônia (1985) by Pasquale Di Paolo, as well as the discourse of the literature, in "O Rebelde" from the 19th century, in the construction of versions of the Cabanagem, in order to verify how each historian and writer has positioned in relation to the Cabanagem, electing victims, villains and heroes. We also aimed at verifying how the voices of the characters and the narrator of the short story condemn or justify the Cabanagem. The discussion presents the theoretical assumptions based on Paul Ricoeur (1999), Jacques Le Goff (2005), Beatriz Sarlo (2007) and Umberto Eco (2004).
