Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cartas literárias: cartografia sócio-literária de pessoas e paisagens de Belém a partir da poesia de Bruno de Menezes(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-11-29) SANTOS, Joice Freitas dos; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961This study proposes a new perspective on the intersection of Geography and Literature: a socio literary cartography of the poetry of Bruno de Menezes, taking into account the presence of people and landscapes in the space of Belém do Pará. The guiding question of this work was to demonstrate that Bruno de Menezes was a poet-cartographer, elucidating the relationship between fiction and cartography; investigating how spaces influenced the stylistics of his poetry; and establishing a comparison between the mentioned spaces as they are today and how they were at the time of his writings. In this sense, it contributes to the academic community by advancing studies on this black, peripheral, self-taught poet, who was a precursor of Modernism in the capital of Pará, in addition to continuing research on Literary Cartography, which, as we have shown, is still in a phase of deepening. As methodology, we utilized the main theories of literary cartography, synthesizing them into a table based on the Malha de Saberes created by Fernandes et al. (2021), presenting maps according to the theories of Moretti (2003) for spatial analysis, and classifying spatiality in the poems using the postulates of Ozíris (2007). The outcome of this research was a correlation between visual and textual elements, featuring maps and tables that synthesize the author's ability to portray the city in poetry. The reader will observe that the most recurring spaces in the poems were the neighborhoods of Jurunas, Cidade Velha, Campina, Umarizal, Telégrafo, Pedreira, and Sacramenta (Nazaré and Guamá appear a few times), with individuals who existed in the periphery of Belém during the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, yet whose existence was not recorded in official documents. This is the beginning of what we hope will be a return to society through the provision of maps and other technological resources for the public. Thus, this work aimed to show that the spaces of Belém have memory, narrating a portion of the history of the occupation of these places.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gente do estuário: mudanças e permanências dos saberes e técnicas tradicionais de pescadores artesanais de Vigia (PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-10-28) SILVA, José Matheus Barata; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961Handmade fishing in the North Brazilian Coast is one of the main economic activities of the region. This Study aims to analyze the techniques of estuary artisanal fishing from Vigia-PA, with an emphasis on transformations and reframing of artisanal fishing and the traditional knowledge of the local community. This study points to the main fishing gear used in the microregion of Salgado Paraense, and its importance to the local, regional and national scenario. Is considered the contribution of the artisanal fisherman’s traditional knowledge, through its readjustments to the territorial geography of the constantly changing place. It shows the importance of artisanal fishing, the implication of industrial fishing to the category and its tensions. Thus, it is proposed to include the knowledge of artisanal fishermen in public policies for fishing in the region, given their deep knowledge of the activity, in addition to allowing the approximation between academic knowledge and traditional knowledge, or know-how of local people. To this end, it was sought to carry out bibliographic surveys and theoretical research on the topic. From the methodology, 300 forms and semi-structured interviews were applied, discourse analysis, field research with local subjects, with questions regarding fishing, its transformations, permanences and perspectives. Ahead, tables, graphs and images were produced collaboratively, taking into account the notes of artisanal fishermen, their reflections, narratives, knowledge and perceptions about their own practice. Finally, some categories were essential for the research, such as: artisanal fishing, traditional knowledge, know-how and techniques. Some authors were fundamental, such as: Ramalho (2011, 2012, 2014), Diegues (1983, 1988, 2001, 2004), Cunha (1993, 2000, 2004), Furtado (1987, 1990, 2001) e Isaac (1998, 2003, 2006). In this way, the translation of the knowledge of the estuarine artisanal fishermen was sought as a way to help future proposals for studies and public policies for the micro-region of the Salgado Paraense.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Nas águas lendárias do Rio Capim: narrativas autóctones do fenômeno da pororoca em São Domingos do Capim-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-01-03) SILVA, José Maria Soares da; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961This work intends to analyze the autochthonous narratives about the pororoca phenomenon in São Domingos do Capim, focusing on verifying how the pororoca narratives are socially configured within a process of knowledge and practices in the construction of identity in São Domingos do Capim . For this, the historical, political and economic context will be considered, based on the effects of colonization on local culture, touching on the anthropic action of man on nature, referencing the context and logic of the social groups involved. Then, a bibliographic review and an analysis will be carried out based on the travelers' reports and the narrative of the river and the forests, understanding that nature provides man with raw materials that justify not only his material, but also cultural and spiritual existence. . The field research, carried out among the residents of São Domingos do Capim, presents the oral reports in order to show how the local culture is configured, referencing the context and logic of social groups circumscribed to the universe of narratives, such as the myth of pororoca in São Domingos do Capim. The structuring of sciences and the production of this knowledge do not only cover the dimension of qualitative analysis, but demand studies that are able to promote interpretations in different contexts for the different dimensions of polysemy that, at a technical level, are brought from interviews, testimonies , narratives, experiences and memories. In this sense, the theoretical framework on colonialities, anthropization, interculturalities and decolonialities help the interpretation that privileges the transience in the discourses which, according to Fernandes (2011), are the ambiguity, contrariety and contradiction of categories related to discourse analysis.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Pedagogia do mangue: proposta de inclusão de saberes e fazeres dos pescadores artesanais na prática escolar de São Caetano de Odivelas/PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-01-20) NASCIMENTO, Onilson Carvalho do; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961Based on Mangue Pedagogy in dialogue with ethnosaberes and interculturality, it is an ethnographic research that seeks to analyze intercultural interactions in the municipality of São Caetano de Odivelas / PA as a proposal to include the knowledge and practices of artisanal fishermen in the school practice of this municipality. The singularity of the role of these women who live this experience aroused the interest to investigate this theme. This is a qualitative study (MINAYO, 2001), guided by field research (LAKATOS; MARCONI, 2003). Investigation mobilized by the following question: What is the importance and relevance of the role of women cassava scrapers in the exercise of their skills and knowledge? We have as a general objective: to investigate the work of women scrapers of cassava in Vila de São Jorge, Igarapé-Açu - Pará, identifying their profile; working conditions; the implications and inferences of the work of these subjects in the community. We dialogued with concepts and authors such as: Decoloniality (MIGNOLO, 2017), Woman (BEAUVOIR, 1967), Anthropy (FERNANDES; RAMOS, 2020). Our locus is the Vila de São Jorge, municipality of Igarapé-Açú, Northeast Paraense. The production of data was carried out via the following instruments: semi-structured interviews based on life stories, field notebook, visits to the production spaces, and image records. Six (6) women were interviewed, between 21 and 60 years old, based on the following criteria: being a woman manioc scraper, having this activity as the main source of income. The result of the investigation points to the expansion of the academic debate on knowledge and traditional practices, elucidating the relationships established in the production space, the protagonism, the resistance of women in their trade. The urgent need for public policies aimed at this female audience, especially for cassava scrapers.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os usos da medicina tradicional na pandemia de Covid-19 em São Caetano de Odivelas-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-12-29) SILVA, Gisele Maria Cardoso da; BARBOSA, Wagner Luiz Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1372405563294070; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2421-8245; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961In the context of the covid-19 pandemic local communities located far from capital cities suffered from a saturated health system and difficulties in getting medical care, resorting to their ancestral knowledge of nature to stay healthy and treat the symptoms of the disease.
