O Programa de Pós-Graduação em Serviço Social (PPGSS) do Instituto de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas (ICSA) da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA). Se constitui no primeiro da Região Amazônica, tendo como desafio o fortalecimento de uma massa crítica de intelectuais que tenham como referência a fundamentação histórica, teórico e metodológica capaz de interpretar e responder as expressões da questão social na contemporaneidade, particularmente, na conjuntura nacional e amazônica.

Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cooperativa agrícola resistência do Tocantins - CART: alternativa de organização sócio-produtiva do pequeno produtor rural em Cametá/Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-08-31) SOUZA, Michele Lima de; BARBOSA, Maria José de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6967470592226610This thesis is an analysis of strategies for small farmers organized in cooperatives in search of job security and income in Cametá City, Pará. In this way, it was considered initially influences the conditions for social integration, productive and economic incentives and the Prelature and advisory institutions that reinforced the organization. In this way, the Union of Rural Workers struggles of demand led to the improvement of socioeconomic conditions in Cametá City. The theoretical reflections and practical reality, these actors, show that the relationships have been articulated to promote a view of the changes that have impacted this city, which has been compounded since the implementation of major projects in the Amazon, such as the deployment of Hydroelectric Tucuruí, which significantly changed the lifestyle of this population. Thus, the Rural workers, organized collectively, now play for overcoming these difficulties through productive activities as a strategy for local sustainable development, highlighting instruments to guarantee the production and marketing of fruits, with emphasis on açaí, but also in other products such as cassava flour and recently oilseeds. Therefore, it develops a socio-productive from Cametá, analyzes the rise of STR - Cametá, the creation of the CART, specifying their relationship marketing strategies in the network through the organization of the Consortium of Trade and the Federation of Cooperatives Family Farming and Solidarity Economy - FECAFES productive as an instrument of strategic value to the organization of small farmers from Cametá.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Economia solidária e política pública de geração de trabalho e renda – uma análise do Programa Bolsa Trabalho do estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-03-24) SILVA, Leny da Gama e; BARBOSA, Maria José de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6967470592226610The dissertation is entitled "Solidarity economy and public policy to generate jobs and income: an analysis of the Bolsa of Pará Work" includes contributions from the proposal to include socially and economically excluded young workers in the formal labor market from a political strategy which articulated the solidarity economy, generating jobs and income and financial incentive temporary and conditioning. The survey was developed based on the experience of that program, conducted from 2007 to 2010, while government proposal who wrote the Public Policy Work and Income of the state, signaling the possible strategies for the construction of the fight against unemployment, poverty, social exclusion, especially of young people from the social economy. The Work Scholarship Program had three main social and professional qualification: professional training for the formal market, creation of individual and family development and organization of enterprises collective solidarity. For analytical purposes the research was defined in the latter axis, given their difference in promoting inclusive production through cooperative work and self-managing. Thus, he was elected a qualitative approach to realization of this dissertation combining documentary research on projects and reports related to Work Scholarship Program with the completion of an interview with engineers and technicians who participated in the program. In addition to research on books, dissertations, monographs and other productions on the policies discussed in this work. Tour the goal of this dissertation consists in analyzing the Work Scholarship Program, in its articulation of policies to transfer income, social economy and creating jobs, the survey results showed that the proposal to include socially and economically from this young workers strategy proves possible, however demand interaction with other social and economic policies of the country in relation to the social economy, because it is a new policy and how to organize the paper notes that failed mainly clarification of the proposal , demand for the beneficiary group and financing policies for implementation of the projects formed by the program.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Interface entre políticas públicas de saúde mental e economia solidária: a inserção socioprodutiva de pessoas com transtornos mentais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-08-17) CANCELA, Ana Giselle Ribeiro; BARBOSA, Maria José de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6967470592226610The work and madness interface has been constructed and reconstructed along the history, therefore, using the work is not a novelty in the field of mental health, it is related to the birth of psychiatry, in a context of transformation of production relation, with a justification and purpose of social control, exploitation of labor and moral treatment. However, from the Psychiatric Reform Process the job enters the scene from new perspectives. Accordingly, this study analyzes the relationship between the mental health policies where work is associated with the solidarity economy, in order to understand the meaning attributed to the associated work, seeking to identify their social productive insert practices and how that is incorporated into the Field of mental health in the State of Pará. this is a qualitative research, based on interviews, observations in locos, survey of documentary and institutional material. at the same time, was realizaed the study using the material, so that the data were organized, and highlight the experiences observed by means of workshops and / or production developed in replacement services, as well associations and cooperatives. Was Obtained in the result that the social and productive activities related to mental health services are part of the CAPS developed, but are also encouraged from these spaces as in the case of the Brightness and Light, the only association of people with mental disorders. Despite, if they show incipient and fragile in its constitution, requiring adequate infrastructure and resources, therefore, no possibility of autonomy and independence from their partners, especially government, it is found in the individual strengths of people entered. It is to note that recent experiments in Brazil, especially in state of Para public policies targeted mental health interface with the social economy, and constitute an ongoing process.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Política de segurança alimentar e nutricional face à fome e à desnutrição no arquipélago do Marajó: análise da realidade do CONSAD-Arari(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-07-09) CABRAL, Helen do Socorro Barbosa; BARBOSA, Maria José de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6967470592226610Power is one of the largest and most vital human needs, the debate regarding the nutritional and food security is indispensable nowadays, since not guarantee that right compromises and weakens a nation. The topic of this dissertation seeks to identify how it has developed the Policy for Food Security and Nutrition in Brazil, its programs, projects and actions at national and regional level by highlighting the Marajó archipelago, because it is a region with great natural wealth, but high rates of social vulnerability. In this context, it is an analysis of the effectiveness of the Consortium for Food Security and Local Development - CONSAD - Arari, (one of the programs linked to the Zero Hunger), which aims at the development site from the family food production. The Consortium has the performance areas the municipalities of Cachoeira do Arari, Chaves, Muaná, Ponta de Pedra, Salvaterra, Santa Cruz Arari and Soure. Of these, Muaná is the region to stand out, to be the object of this research and has the highest rate of poor population and the second in the extremely poor population that makes up the Arari. Bring the discussion of a topic and a compelling thematic complex is relevant, considering that the issue of food insecurity is a paradox, since Brazil is one of the largest food exporters in the world. Thus, the dissertation seeks to analyze the actions developed by the Consortium CONSAD - Arari the municipality of Muaná, its effectiveness and applicability, in order to identify the actions developed in the region to cope with food insecurity.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalhadoras e economia solidária na associação de mulheres do município de Igarapé-Miri/Asmim-Pará: da resistência à estratégia de desenvolvimento local(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-08-19) GONÇALVES, Lissany Braga; BARBOSA, Maria José de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6967470592226610The present work portrays the constitution of the Women Association of the City of Igarapé Miri–ASMIM/,Pará, as a fight space, resistance and association of working women. It aims to contribute with the debate around the conquests from the collective practice experience on the local development construction at Igarapé- Miri. Then, the target of this research is to understand the solidarity economy scenario, as well as the different conceptions around this prominent theme with the local development when both are understood as important strategies to the women contribution as a collective subject capable of break up with the invisibility, empowering themselves and become the protagonist of their own history. Important moments of fight and female resistance are emphasized around the equality of rights, income generations and participation at the public life. In this way, the emphasis of social movements and the organizations wich those women were/are articulated, was important to the comprehension of how they achieved their space and a local, regional and nacional politics representation, showing that the new political-cultural and socio-economic practices become references and changes the role of those women at the contemporary society. Finally, it was emphasized that the Igarapé-Miri construction was/is from a lot of fights and consequently, by conflicts that express themselves at familiar and work ambit, clearly showing inequalities that are hidden most times. This research brings to the debate the solidarity economy principles, as a propitious environment to the women‟s empowerment, and the strategies for a local development and public visibility to those women.
