Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicar no instagram em tempos de pandemia: um estudo de caso do Sesc na Região do Norte(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-28) RODRIGUES, Samara Sarmanho; LIMA JUNIOR, Walter Teixeira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2230911862328122; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0678-7062The covid-19 pandemic affected people and organizations on a global scale and social isolation, imposed as a safety measure, had a major impact on the world economy. From this, society as a whole needed to adapt and organizations needed to take their communication to the digital environment in order to maintain interaction with their audience and minimize the damage caused by the pandemic. In this way, Social Media, with strong growth during the pandemic period, were essential tools in this process, as they allowed the relationship between the company and the public, seeking to reduce the distance caused by this atypical situation. The problematization of this study concerns how the Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) in the North Region used Instagram as a tool to disseminate its programs in the area of culture and how its communication strategies were changed with the advent of the pandemic, since activities ceased to be face-to-face and began to take place in the digital environment. In this sense, the present master's research seeks to analyze how the covid-19 pandemic modified Sesc's communication strategies on the social media Instagram during the years 2020 and 2021. This study is characterized as mixed methods research (quantitative and qualitative) of the multiple case study type, as it analyzed the seven Sesc in the North Region. First, through exploratory research, publications in the Instagram feed were analyzed in general, and also those related to the area of culture, obtaining data for carrying out the quantitative analysis, as well as for the qualitative analysis. The qualitative character of the research took place through interviews with a semi-structured script with the communication coordinators and their subsequent content analysis. The result found was the intensification of the use of social media as a general communication strategy with the public, in addition to these media serving as a tool for publicizing the institution's various activities and programs. The highlight was the social media Instagram, which was the main social media used and the one that brought the most results for the regionals during the period studied, including the dissemination of activities and programs in the area of culture at Sesc.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Idosos e internet: mediações nos usos de serviços bancários digitais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-03-14) SIMÕES, Camila de Andrade; LIMA JUNIOR, Walter Teixeira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5189390968642420In a context of internet popularization, mainly through mobile devices, digital inclusion is an expression linked to democracy using such means. Among the socalled excluded groups, the elderly person is noticed and the problematization follows in the instrumentalized interaction relation that maintains with private companies and the connected devices that circulates. It is worth mentioning the worldwide aging, the same with Brazilian population, as well as the timid finding towards elderly digital literacy - from academic to domestic. Ahead it was believed that it was necessary to look closely at a technological actor who presented considerable proximity to Brazilian society in general. Thus, the financial institution was selected because it represents the one through which a capital company performs its main transactions, constant and obligatory (receipts and payments). It is a type of social actor that has in its history, intimate connection with the technological and communication advances, wich involves, today, most of midia services. Thus, two social actors with different interests are placed face to face, in order to verify this relationship from the reception. So, as a central objective, seeks to understand the senses produced by the elderly person in digital banking. Specifically, (1) to verify the relationship between the elderly group of persons investigated and the institution, (2) to identify which devices are most used by the elderly and the banks for this purpose, and (3) to seek to understand which factors the uses that the elderly make of such services and devices. As a methodological proposal, the semi-structured interview, applied to the elderly groups, and the direct observation of digital inclusion courses offered to elderly people in the city center of Belém do Pará, Brazil, were selected. The results indicate little or no use of banking applications by the elderly person investigated. Among those who use it, delivery and trust are less restricted. Among those who do not use baccalaureate applications, insecurity in processes and in themselves, and the lack of knowledge about digital media in general seem to prevent them from pursuing it. In most, the elderly person prefers procedures in physical agencies. Even if directed to use connected applications and digital devices (ATMs or even smatphones) by banking agents, other factors are among the appropriations of these devices by the elderly person.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A periferia e o jornalismo policial paraense: as construções e percepções de moradores do bairro do Guamá(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-26) BRABO, Fábia Maria Sepêda; LIMA JUNIOR, Walter Teixeira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5189390968642420From the newspaper to the social media, the presence of the violence’s speech is inherent to the population’s routine. Daily, the social ills, reflected in the struggles and pains from a part of population, are exposed by communication companies, being that part of them keep supporting a business model from popular a sensationalists news. Because of it, this dissertation has as goals to understand which is the perceptions and constructions developed by Belém’s periphery dweller about the police journalism, considering that they are the ones who occupy with remarkable frequency the protagonism in the police news, both as victim and as violence existence. To the development of this search, the Guamá neighborhood was chosen as the periphery representative, taking into consideration it’s demographic density, crime rate and the recent violence cases shown by national and international communication companies, as the “chacina do Guamá”. The research is considered relevant and unprecedented when introduce the other side of police newspaper distributed in the Belém’s Metropolitan Region. In other words, disposes to give true voice to the periphery habitants opinions’ in relation to the news noticed in the police newspaper, as well as his perception of the periphery and individuals. The work has as communication companies of police nature reference’s, the narratives constructions of the two main police newspaper of RMB: Diário do Pará e Amazônia. In the theoretical construction, a historic review of police journalism and violence was fulfilled, as well as a reflection of the existing relations inside the urban space in what refers to the periphery. Thus, three important moments are demarcated in the writing of search’s methodological procedures, in what qualitative methods are applied in the analysis, that is: at first a reflection about the peripheral ambient; then, the analysis of the bibliographic search already known about police journalism in paraense’s newspapers, seeking to deepen knowledge about this journalistic doing; lastly, the exposure of the field research’s result developed with a group of Guamá neighborhood’s dweller – constituted by young dwellers and community leaderships –, through the method named “focus group”, in order to understand the perception of this population’s portion as for the policies narratives’ present in the newspaper. Thereby, discourse about the periphery and its complex relation with the newspaper’s police books shows necessary, from the critical view to the periphery stigmas, violence spectacularization, inconsequential exposure of its habitants and in the way in which the police editorial line interfere in his experiences inside the periphery and out of it.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Resistir através da rede: análise netnográfica do movimento #adiaENEM no Norte do Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-09) BARBOSA, Ana Karoline; LIMA JUNIOR, Walter Teixeira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5189390968642420; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9423-3854The coronavirus pandemic deeply changed people relationships and routines around the world. After those analyses a comparative study was executed (FACHIN) between the two movement moments in May 2020 and January 2021. It was concluded then, that the two tides of the movement differ on argumentation and network structure, as the central point of 2020 tide was the social and structure inequalities between the applicants, and in 2021 the central point was the coronavirus pandemic, and the health risk with the exam application.
