(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-02-29) OLIVEIRA, Joelma Kyone Silva de; DOMINGUES, Felipe Nogueira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1461187309835749
The productive chain of ruminant in northern Brazil has its base sustained by forages being its management and fertilization, grasses perpetuity, extremely important for the high biological value protein final production for human intake. The study aimed to evaluate trades of Panicum maximum cv. Mombaça fertilized with increasing doses of nitrogen at Af weather conditions being this condition classified by frequent rainfall along every month of the year, so, showing no seasonality in rain scheme. There were evaluate productive trades, morphogenetic, structural and chemical of Mombaça grass in parcels. Being the experiment outlined in random blocks with six treatments (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 e 50 kg of N ha-1 aplication-1), each application performed after each cut and four repetitions, a repetition by block totalizing 24 plots and the cut done at a height of 40 cm, whenever the parcels high achieved 90 cm to be considered the time when the canopy intercepts 95% of incident light. The data were submitted to variance and regression analysis, with significance of 5% taken from the linear and quadratic coefficients of determination. Nitrogen fertilization affected (p<0,05) stretching rates, appearance, number of leaves alive by tillers and dry mass production. The forage quality was also affected by N doses (p<0,05), being the levels of CP positively affected and values of TC negatively. The fiber levels and lignin were not influenced by fertilization (p<0,05) being this result positive from the forage nutritional pint of view, once fiber and lignin high levels do not benefit consumption and cause a digestive limitation. The nitrogen provides better qualitative and quantitative results to Mombaça grass in tropical climate areas.

The stingless bee keeping has been improved considerably in the last years and, consequently, the demand for colonies has increased. However, the breeding techniques still need to be improved to reach the necessary production scale. The feeding system is one of the issues that must be studied and improved, because long periods of low availability of food resources constraint the production of new colonies. The present study aimed to test an artificial diet to replace the pollen for Melipona flavolineata. It was investigated the nutritional composition of their natural food (stored pollen) and of the artificial diet (based on soybean extract). The effect of the artificial diet was tested at the survival and size of brood and longevity of adult workers. The artificial diet presented a different nutritional composition compared to the stored pollen. It was richer in carbohydrates and lipids, but poorer in proteins. However, this difference did not affect the survival and size of brood and longevity of adult workers, but not drastically. It is recommended to reduce the amount of sugar and to add new ingredients with higher protein content in future diets. The diet based on soybean extract showed to be a good substitute for pollen, but not perfect. Small changes can be adressed based on the results of the present contribution to reach an artificial diet with better quality.

Farelo de dendê como aditivo sequestrante de umidade na silagem de capim-elefante
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-08-12) SANTOS, Ivan Alberto Palheta; RÊGO, Aníbal Coutinho do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4330113577933018; DOMINGUES, Felipe Nogueira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1461187309835749
The objective of this work to review existing literature on the use of additives sequestering moisture, as well as the use of palm kernel meal as a additive for elephant-grass silage, after that, there was a scientific experiment in which we evaluated the effect of adding bran oil palm as an wet kidnapper additive in elephantgrass silage. The chemical qualitative and fermentation were analyzed in a completely randomized design with six treatments and six replications, where the averages of the results of days of closing and opening were analyzed by regression analysis. In the aerobic stability analysis was employed subdivided plots, so that the treatments were randomized in plots and the evaluation times in the subplots. Samples were collected at the time of ensiling and after 190 days of storage for evaluation of dry matter, crude protein, carbohydrates (total, non-fibrous, watersoluble, cellulose and hemicellulose), mineral material, lignin and lipids. In the days aerobic samples were collected for pH, nitrogen for ammonia, fungi and yeasts. The elephant grass this experiment showed values of 13.9% DM and 8.25% CP while the FD has 77.2% DM and 16.9% CP. The inclusion of FD had a direct influence on the populations of fungi and yeasts during the aerobic stability, the higher the dose, the less proliferation as a result, the values of pH and NH3-N also showed similar behavior. The inclusion of bran Palm at doses in the range of 10% to 15% can be used in silage of elephant, inhibiting undesired fermentation and making them more stable, doses above this value may affect the nutritive value of silage by high lignin content of the additive.

The culture of cane sugar plays an important socioeconomic role in Brazil, with main products as sugar and alcohol, as well as being used as a source of roughage in food animal production systems. This study aimed to evaluate the behavior of the culture of cane of sugar grown in Af type weather, characterized by rainfall in all months of the year and no dry season weather conditions. IACSP93-6006, RB83-5486 and SP79-1011: The bromatological chemical composition, agronomic and technological characteristics of three cultivars of cane sugar were determined. Experiment was conducted in a randomized block design with three treatments and four replicates and the averages compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. There were differences (P˂0.05) for dry matter, ether extract, crude protein, acid detergent fiber, lignin, cellulose, neutral detergent fiber corrected for ash and protein, total carbohydrates, B2 fraction, fraction C and raw dry’s production. The components of the fibrous portion (NDF, LIG, fraction C) showed low values, resulting in higher value of non- fiber carbohydrates, which are interesting from the point of view of the cattle feeding, given that the components of the fibrous portion influence the intake and digestibility of the food. The cultivars showed higher dry matter production highlighting the IACSP93-6006 and SP79-1011 cultivars. For agronomic characteristics were no differences (P˂0.05) for the production of natural material, number of culms, culm length and culm diameter, highlighting the IACSP93-6006 and SP79-1011 cultivars, demonstrating adaptation to climatic conditions the region. There was no difference (P>0.05) for technological attributes, Pol, Brix, reducing sugars, purity, total reducing sugars, fiber and moisture, whose values were low due to rainfall in the region, because the cane sugar requires heat or water stress for maturation to occur. In weather conditions Af has no dry season being the least rainy month trial period had 106.6 mm and the average annual temperature was 26.8 ° C.

The mean purpose of that research was to measure the potential of agribusiness fruit production waste use (banana, mango, passion), such as absorbing additives oh humidity at ensilage of elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) cultivate Napier, through different specific masses, defining its effect on fermentation quality, microbiological characteristics, and chemical composition. Treatments were distributed in a completely randomized design with four replicates, in factorial 4 x 3, being composed of witness, banana waste (BW), mango waste (MW), passion waste (PW) and three specific masses (400, 500 and 600 kg MV/m3). After 240 days of fermentation on experimental silos samples were opened and excluded to determine the content of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), neutral detergent fiber corrected to ash and protein (NDFap), acid detergent fiber corrected to ash and protein (ADFap), hemicellulose (HCEL), lignin (Lig), total carbohydrates (TC), nonfiber carbohydrates (NFC), neutral detergent insoluble nitrogen (NDIN), acidic detergent insoluble nitrogen (ADIN, % total N), potential of hydrogen (pH), ammonium nitrogen (N-NH3), lactic acidic bacteria (LAB), filamentous fungi (FUN), and yeast. The software R was used to analyze the treatments, considering the significance of 5% probability (P<0.05). To compare the average of each treatment, when it influenced the variable response, the Tukey test of 5% of significance was used. The effect of specific mass on silo is more effective in exclusive silage of elephant grass, the compaction of 600 kg MV/m3 contribute for improvements on the fermentative and microbiological process. The specific mass does not influence a lot on the chemical composition. The addition of banana waste on elephant grass ensilage contribute improvements only on the chemical composition, rising the values of DM, PB, NFC and reduction of fibrous components (NDFcp and ADFcp), but it does not improve the fermentative and microbiological process. The addition of passion and mango by-products foment the improvement of DM and promote the fermentative, microbiological, and chemical process of silage, no matter the specific mass.
