Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ações colonizadoras em descompasso: legislação, propaganda e atuação de colonos estrangeiros e nacionais nos últimos anos do império e início da república no Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-09) SANTOS, Francisnaldo Sousa dos; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140The present study seeks to reflect the laws operate with the goal of creating colonial cores and, consequently, the introduction of domestic and foreign settlers in the Bragantina region, Northeastern Pará, between the years of 1886 and 1902. We seek to analyze not only the provincial authorities and State claims behind these frameworks, but also the reactions of the colonists on the agricultural front of such legislation. While these public agents aimed to have a control over those rural areas, its occupants and the own agricultural production, the immigrants sought the establishment and extension of rights provided for not only the laws but also in advertisements carried out in Europe with the purpose of attracting immigrants. Within this universe of frameworks, we still perceive the differences between the programs of colonization thought between the end of the imperial period and the first years of the Republic, Governments of Lauro Sodré, José Paes de Carvalho and Augusto Montenegro.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A construção de conceitos no ensino de História: para além do “verbalismo vazio”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-17) SOARES, Emerson Sousa; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2750-0625This dissertation has as a main aspect the problematization about the dealing with the concepts by teachers and students of basic education. It also aims to understand the importance of establishing strategies that allow greater student participation in the construction of relevant concepts for History Teaching, in addition to contributing to the student's development as a reflective being. In the same vein, to propose viable paths for teachers to work with the concepts in their profession. The methodology used was the case study, associated with the participant observation. Regarding the sources, semi-structured interviews were carried out and qualitative-quantitative questionnaires were applied. Those were carried out with 2 History professionals who teach classes for Basic Education, from private schools in the capital of the State (Pará). The questionnaires, in addition to being applied to the 2 teachers with the addition of one more, were also directed to the students as respondents and part of the research. As a product, we chose to propose a research that presents new paths to teachers-researchers in History Teaching, based on meaningful learning, so students will act decisively in the elaboration of a Dictionary of Concepts, a substantive type one, in digital format, present in a site that will be under permanent construction.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) De professores civis a oficiais militares: experiências sociais de militares temporários para o magistério na Força Aérea Brasileira (2011-2019)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-08-31) GAUDÊNCIO, Sandra Letícia Magalhães; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140This dissertation analyzes the temporary hiring process of teachers as Military Officers, considering the demands related to basic education in a militarized structure. The objective is to understand the process of training and performance of temporary military officers summoned to the teaching staff (teaching and pedagogy) of the Brazilian Air Force - FAB, between the years 2011 and 2019, at Colégio Tenente Rêgo Barros (CTRB). Therefore, it is relevant to understand the daily training of these temporary officers, “the swabs” and the dynamics of a “military spirit” whose scope was determined by internal social relations. The hypotheses raised are that the various experiences of social subjects, men and women who worked in this area, permeated through strangeness, resistance, mediation, conflicts that begin from the selection process to the performance in the CTRB. With regard to the sources, the relevance of orality is highlighted based on the use of the technique of interviews, authorized and recorded through google meet, made with the temporary Officers, their memories and forgetfulness, as well as official documents, newspapers, magazines and photographs. We will seek to understand the entry process of civilian teachers in 2011 who became temporary military and are professionals in the area of Teaching and Pedagogy, considering the demands aimed at teaching in a welfare school and the profile of the professionals who sought to reach summoned and formed for a temporary “career” in the Brazilian Air Force-FAB, the so-called 2nd class Reserve Officers Squad Convocados - QOCON.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “[...] dividir o corte da lenha [...] afim de não vermos brevemente as nossas matas calvas e estragadas”: a lenha nas Províncias do Pará e Amazonas (1850-1888)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-09-23) CORDOVIL, Wendell Presley Machado; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140In the 19th century in the Amazon, the steam vessels that sailed the region’s rivers did not yet use diesel as fuel. House kitchens still did not use “cooking gas”. It was another item that stood out as a producer of energy for steam ships and kitchen stoves in everyday life: firewood. Trees were felled, cut into pieces and turned into “sticks” [achas de lenha]. From the 1850s onwards, firewood became a valuable product for steam navigation on Amazon rivers and for kitchens in homes, institutions or bakeries and hotels. Firewood produced interactions between humans, but also between humans and non-humans, such animals and plants. Indigenous people, blacks, whites, horses and “maçarandubas” (a type of tree) appear as characters in this Master’s Thesis. With documents (such as newspapers, reports from provincial presidents, travel reports, drawings and floor plans) it was possible to understand a little of the complex reality that existed in Pará and Amazonas, between 1850 and 1888, for the production, trade and use of firewood. Focusing on steams and kitchens, this work presents the use of firewood, the mandatory work for the production of this fuel, human interaction with plants, animals, and also the beginning of a concern with deforestation generated by the production of firewood, from its uses and representations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “Em auxílio dos seus”: Mutualismo espanhol numa cidade Amazônica (Belém-Pará, 1890 – 1920)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-02-26) LIMA, Aline de Kassia Malcher; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140At the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, the city of Belém underwent intense changes promoted by the rubber economy, the product of greatest export in the period. In this context, the city of Belém experiences the arrival of a significant number of national and international migrants moved by the opportunity of enrich with the opportunity that this land provided and propagandized. The Spaniards are the second largest group of foreign immigrants to the city of Belém. Most of them emigrated from Galicia, settling in the urban context and creating networks of sociability and solidarity through associations. The research object is the mutual aid associations for Spanish immigrants. The problem is to understand how the survival strategies of the Spaniards who arrived in the Amazon in the beginning of the 20th century are activated through the mutual aid associations in Belém, particularly the Union Española de Socorros Mútuos and the Centro Galaico del Pará. Ethnic mutualists of emigrants are configured as a true symbolic landmark of territoriality. Through a collection of different sources it was possible to understand the dynamics of its operation. In this sense, the memory of immigrants in relation to their homeland is preserved and the ties maintained with it are present throughout the existence of Spanish associative centers as a form of expression and belonging, these being platforms for political and social dialogue.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O ensino de História e as novas tecnologias: questões de métodos e o ensino-aprendizagem de História em protagonismo discente(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-31) SILVA JÚNIOR, João Batista da; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2750-0625This master's thesis analyzes the possibility of using of using educational applications as a didactic resource in a high school classroom. The general aim was to identify and critically analyze the contents, methodologies and the effectiveness of applications that explore computer networks, providing contents from the discipline History, identifying the extent to which these contents and methodologies propose an innovative proposal in the construction of historical knowledge. For the effectiveness of the proposal, analyzes were made regarding the role of historical narratives in the teaching of history and the training of history teachers in educational technologies. We also observed, through the students' narratives, the extent to which this extra classroom knowledge that emerges outside the classroom space is or is not part of the historical consciousness of these students. We discussed how these didactic resources can be propositional in the formation of a didactic of history through interviews, narrative construction and participant observation. As a result, we presented an educational product built by the students of the Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio do Outeiro, a 3rd year high school class, a virtual application with content produced by these students about their locality, which has the potential to become an interesting didactic tool for the production and dissemination of historical knowledge.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O Ensino em História na Educação do Campo durante a pandemia de 2020/2021(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-30) CAMPOS JÚNIOR, João Thomaz de; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2750-0625This research aims to analyze the teaching, during the year 2020. Here, the memory and historical awareness of these students are approached, as investigative points if they have a certain knowledge about the local history of the lands in which they live. Based on theoretical and methodological assumptions that dialogue on the subject. Authors who dialogue with the theme will be approached about historical consciousness. The approach to the occupation of the lands of the Cambará farm is relevant because this territory is linked to a past of conflicts and involves a very emblematic character in the northeast region of Pará, the triggerman Quintino Lira. Through these analyses, it is possible to make a didactic product for application and also as a pedagogical support to be applied by teachers in the school at José Valmeristo school.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “Guiados pelo raciocínio e pela razão”: ciência e modernidade a serviço da agricultura paraense (1908-1929)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022) SANTOS, Francisnaldo Sousa dos; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140This thesis seeks to discuss the implementation of a new development model designed for agriculture in Pará at the beginning of the 20th century. Especially from the second term of governor Augusto Montenegro onwards, a change of orientation is observed, no longer exclusively focused on the creation of colonial nuclei and their consequent occupation by foreign settlers, but also focused on the qualification of these agricultural workers. In other words, the quality of labor for the field gained more and more importance. With the help of science, public agents then sought the technical qualification of the farmer through agricultural education in institutions such as experimental stations and demonstration fields or through mobile agricultural education. This new methodology required the creation, in 1908, of a section dedicated exclusively to agriculture and livestock within the Secretariat of Public Works, Lands and Transport, showing a close approximation between the state and the agricultural elite of Pará, since the representative of this patronage, the Marajoara farmer José Ferreira Teixeira, took over the direction of the 4th Section of Agriculture. The publication of the magazine A Lavoura Paraense, which circulated between 1908 and 1912, portrayed this new moment well in its pages. One of the objectives of public agents was to overcome monoculture and develop other products, especially when rubber exports showed signs of crisis, making agriculture increasingly relevant to the Pará economy in the first decades of the 20th century. In addition to the fear of sustaining an entire economy based on a single product, we can point out not only the unsatisfactory results with the old model of agricultural development that had been adopted since the mid-nineteenth century, but also the entire increase that the Museum underwent. Paraense from the arrival of the Swiss Emílio Goeldi and his successor in the direction of this institution, the also Swiss Jacques Huber. However, the promising expectation regarding the modernizing wave for the countryside, based on the rationalization of agricultural practices from the current agronomic precepts of the time, did not actually materialize, since the extractive sector remained high compared to the agricultural sector, with highlights at the end of the 1920s for some products such as rice and cotton.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “Hostilidades da floresta”: agrodesenvolvimento e políticas agrárias no Nordeste do Pará (século XX)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-06-21) SILVA, Bruno de Souza; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140This thesis presents the main rural development policies that were directed towards the Amazon region from the so-called Vargas Era (1930-1945) until the end of the military government in 1985. Since these were periods of intensification in developmental policies aimed at colonization, agriculture and agroindustry through agencies such as SPVEA, BASA and SUDAM. More specifically about the experience of the population of Tomé-Açu, as it is a society that emerged from a colonization project that developed economically and politically based on black pepper agriculture, as well as constituting one of the most important institutions associations from the northeast of Pará, the Mixed Agricultural Cooperative of Tomé-Açu. Our main argument that guides this thesis is the fact that Tomé-Açu arose from policies aimed at forests, its development as well as social and economic relations had a strong influence from projects led by government agencies.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Mais vídeos, menos textos”: ensino e aprendizagem em História e produções audiovisuais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-01-30) SILVA, Anderson Rodrigo Tavares; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140This dissertation has as main objective to analyse questions about the use and production of audiovisuals sources and conducting research activities on the historical concept of the Brazilian military regime through a participant research carried out with a group of high school students of the public school Acy de Barros. The main problem was to identify which elements of their culture the graduating high school students turn to when they are learning history. Based on this, the classroom-workshop method was used, according to the perspective of Isabel Barca (2004), with the purpose of stimulating the learning of history through the use and production of historical sources using cellphones (smartphones) as a didactic resource. As a culminating activity of this teaching-learning process in history, students built short film audiovisual products in different formats on themes related to the historical concept military regime.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Mostra de História em processo de interação escolar no Ensino Médio: um estudo sobre ensino aprendizagem na escola estadual “Benício Lopes”, Castanhal-Pa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-04-14) LIRA, Vascilene da Silva; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2750-0625The History Exhibition, held at the Benício Lopes State School (located in the municipality of Castanhal-PA), presents itself as a proposal for a pedagogical instrument that aims to assist in the teaching-learning process within the Teaching of History, using theoretical approaches based on the School Culture and Historical Education, appropriating the prior knowledge and baggage brought by the student on different themes, resulting from their personal experiences and linking them to school historical knowledge, relating these themes within a political-social as well as a theoretical context -methodological in the perspective of contributing to a significant historical learning, thus contributing to the formation of a critical-reflective historical conscience on the part of the students, seeking to help in their own perception of the world and action on it. This proposal also uses the format of School Fairs / Exhibitions in order to promote greater school interaction of the participating students, instigating a greater proximity to the discipline of history, arousing their interest in a more didactic and attractive way.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “Novo porvir”: literatura e cooperativismo em candunga e outros escritos de Bruno de Menezes(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-08-03) FELIX, Renan Brigido Nascimento; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140The present dissertation aims to understand Literature and Cooperativism as two fundamental aspects of the social experience of the literate Bento Bruno de Menezes Costa (1893-1963). In this sense, his engagement in the field of arts was used as a starting point to the perception of a social subject who had made of the constitutive experiences of his works a huge space to reflect the condition of parense people. It is not merely an ornament what he expressed on the fictional texts and cultural reflexions, so the retraction many of his poetries dynamized and told about the confluence of a poet who made from his accumulated life experiences on his wanderings present issues in terms of a subject who not only went to the people, but was people himself. Therefore, when we analyse the cooperativist production of Bruno Menezes, we researched abundant sparse texts, even by the sequence of the years – first half of XX century, especially the 50´s – thru the deployment of his public activities commanding S.A.C. (Service of Assistance to Cooperativism) organ created by Para State Government in which he worked for ten years, from 1945 to 1955. We also consider that the work Candunga, published in 1954, constitutes an important space to the diffusion of Cooperativism doctrine once a fictional reflection has been conceded to such theme. The creation of “Colonia Novo Porvir1” by the end of the storyline established a different horizon to the peasants from Bragantine Zone in the Northeast of Para State through fomenting agricultural associacionism among them. Thus, when working with the execution of projects in this matter, he added ingredients such as political experience and perceptions about nature, considering important the historical changes in Amazonian spaces. The specialization grade he detained about this theme helped him to multiply the cooperativist actions, and then, to present practical results to Paraense society.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ocupação, colonização e relações de trabalho em Ourém do Grão-Pará (1751-1798)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-09-20) ALMEIDA, Rozemberg Ribeiro de; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140This dissertation analyzes the process of occupation, colonization and labor relations developed in the region of Ourém in the State of Grão-Pará between 1751 and 1798, here understood as the eastern frontier of Grão-Pará. Its territory was of fundamental importance for the political, economic and social relations developed between the captaincies of Grão-Pará and Maranhão. In order to achieve this pretension, we initially sought to understand the motivations that led to the founding of the town of Ourém, which, like so many others, was created from the policies developed by the Marquis of Pombal for the Amazon. As they were seeking to guarantee the possession of the lands of Portugal that for this purpose promoted the concession of Sesmarias, with that it aimed to populate their territory, given that in that period there was an intense dispute, mainly with Spain, by the lands of the Portuguese extreme north. In this context, the idea of territoriality understood as the actions of the subjects is fundamental, this notion is adequate to the measures adopted by Portugal from the second half of the eighteenth century, because they played a decisive role in promoting the settlement of the Grand- For. It is noteworthy that it was from these actions that the Amazonian territory was conceived. Based on this principle, the town of Ourém is the product of territoriality. In his region, several relations between different subjects were processed, by virtue of which, we conceived as a place of frontier, not in the sense of limit, but in the understanding of space of occupation and encounter, where black enslaved, Indians and whites made the most varied relations, based on work.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Pelo bem da agricultura e do comércio: as dinâmicas sociais e econômicas no mundo rural do Centro-Norte (1780-1810)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-06-26) BARBOSA, Carlos Eduardo Costa; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140The last decades of the 18th century were an important moment for the economy of Grão-Pará. Influenced by the external situation that gave it opportunities for greater development of its endogenous productive and commercial sector. During this period, the captaincy of Grão-Pará became important for the Crown's interests in colonial territory. From Belém, commercial communications should be established with the captaincies of Mato Grosso and Goiás, guaranteeing territorial integrity and maintaining exports of colonial goods to Portugal. However, several issues arose that made it difficult to execute the planned actions, mainly in connection with Goiás. The Goiás villages were experiencing a systemic crisis after the collapse of mine production and were demanding a transition to an agricultural-based economy. Trade with Grão-Pará was seen as a solution to the problem of lack of goods and credit. Official documentation shows that the authorities were taking all possible measures to encourage agricultural activity, both for supplies and for export, but with few results. However, traders from Pará were reluctant after becoming aware of the real state of those villages. The Portuguese State, through its representatives, sought to develop the region by resuming its settlement policies based on prisons and records and agricultural development, granting tax exemptions and other benefits to settlers. Thus, we can see that the measures taken by both captaincies contributed to the creation of a wide-ranging commercial scheme throughout the Araguaia-Tocantins region.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Planta-me no pó e não tenhas de mim dó: agricultura no Grão-Pará setecentista (1730- 1822)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12-18) BARBOSA, Carlos Eduardo Costa; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140The eighteenth century is an important moment for agriculture in Grão-Pará, through various documentary sources, we could highlight the process of occupation of the Tocantins river gutter, a region that could be understood as the first densely populated agricultural circle under the dominion of Belém, an influence observable by the territorial organization and the rearrangement of the family units in relatively autonomous structures of production and consumption, as part of the agrarian project, which was characterized by the introduction of new productive techniques, incorporation of new lands to agriculture followed by new genera and cultivation methods. The agrarian project reflected on the various subjects that made up the rural world of Paraense throughout the 7th Century, mainly in the Tocantins River valley region due to the proximity of Belém. In this region, we observe colonist migration, miscegenation, and the dispersal process as factors that contributed to generate families with endogenous preconditions to live and produce without difficulties in the Amazonian environment, reproducing only by the work of its members. In this sense, this dispersed population will seize the possible spaces and develop agro-extractive activities. What we need to understand clearly is that colonial agriculture balances within a diverse range of influences that determine its conditions and characteristics, as well as perceive the multiple composition of the rural world. In this sense, this paper seeks to emphasize the participation of this dispersed population, contributing to an understanding of the complexity of colonial society organization and dynamism in the region of the Tocantins River Valley.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) SOME Municipal de Moju/PA: BNCC e Currículo de História(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2025-03-21) CAMPOS, Wellington Rodrigo de; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2750-0625With the rise of the BNCC, in 2017, it was up to the municipalities to adapt to the new curricular guidelines, and in Moju it was no different, with the Municipal Curricular Document approved definitively in 2022. This dissertation aims to discuss the curriculum adopted by History teachers at the municipal SOME of Moju/PA before and after the approval of the BNCC, and subsequently with the introduction of the Municipal Curricular Document. To this end, we sought to understand through Oral Life History the conception of history teachers about the construction of their curricula and which contents were considered most relevant for this construction. As well as understanding the references requested by teachers, observing the subjectivities during their teaching careers, to do so, we must understand that the SOME school environment corresponds to Rural Education and all the complexity that this type of education has with the blocking of workload, the location of the teacher and the usual deficiencies of rural schools in the interior of the Amazon. Through this analysis, it became clear to the interviewed teachers that there are important absences in the prescribed municipal curriculum, such as the distance between Local History and education developed in the countryside, given that the Mojuense countryside is home to a rich and complex history of social struggles and disputes over land ownership.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Víveres de maranhenses no Pará: migração, terra, trabalho e conflito no vale do Acará (décadas de 1960-1990)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-02-19) SILVA, Bruno de Souza; NUNES, Francivaldo Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4125313573133140The present text constitutes of a discussion about the factors that involve the society of Vale of Acará from the decade of 1960, analyzing the process of migration that made the region of high of Acará.
