Dinâmicas territoriais no nordeste do Estado do Pará

The aim of this research was to identify and understand the territorial dynamics of two Given Territories in the northeast region of Pará State. The present work presents the main factors that determine the spatial dynamics from the territorial dynamics system. The research clippings are the Nordeste I territory and the Salgado territory, which are located in the coastal region of northeastern Pará, characterized as the oldest frontier of colonization in the State. The perception-based regional map-making methodology was a necessary source of information that resulted in the typology of the spatial dynamics. The research enabled the creation of specific models for each territory, which allows for a comparative analysis of territorial dynamics, as well as to learn about public policies and the perspectives of social actors in the given territories.

Governança Territorial: a trajetória do funcionamento dos conselhos deliberativos nas Reservas Extrativistas Marinhas Caeté-Taperaçu e Araí-Peroba na Região Bragantina do Estado do Pará

The aforementioned report analyzes and compares the deliberative councils of Marine Extractive Reserves (Resex, in Portuguese) Caeté-Taperaçu and Araí-Peroba's management choices, within their trajectories, through a territorial governance perspective. The research: outlines, particularly, the deliberative councils' trajectory in these two marine Resexs; analyzes their performances, based on models of territorial governance; and compares their management decisions. The study was carried out in the Marine Resex Caeté-Taperaçu (municipality of Bragança) and Araí-Peroba (municipality of Augusto Corrêa), both created in 2005, in the northeastern region of the State of Pará. The research was refined using a qualitative methodology. The Venn diagrams and The Matrices were directed at the leaders and counselors to obtain the report assessment. Questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and participant remarks were used for data acquisition. The concepts of territories, territorial governance from the perspective of social management, specific deliberative marine Resex councils' governance, and collective management of common goods were used as theoretical instruments. Despite the difficulties, as observed, the marine Resex Caeté-Taperaçu's deliberative council is operational, albeit in centralized management; the marine Resex Araí-Peroba's deliberative council has been inactive since 2014. The lack of decentralized management, the Resex's hindered accessibility, partisan issues, and the lack of politicization were some of the reasons that led to the Araí-Peroba council's inactivity. It is concluded that notwithstanding the territorial governance as a social innovation for marine Resex's territories management, in the Caeté-Taperaçu and Araí-Peroba deliberative councils, governance is still in its experimentation phase. The weakened institutional arrangements and the ineffective participation of extractive communities in the decision-making process generate conflicts and make it impossible for the implementation of territorial governance.

Trajetória de Institucionalização da Agroecologia no Nordeste Paraense: as experiências de Irituia e Santa Luzia do Pará

The present research had as objective to explain the current level of consolidation of agroecology in two experiments in northeastern Paraguay. For this purpose, the processes of institutionalization of agroecology in the municipalities of Irituia and Santa Luzia do Pará were analyzed and compared. The construction of the research was based on the methodology of study of the institutionalization trajectory, to describe the degree of institutionalization of agroecology, to compare trajectories and identify weaknesses and potentialities in both municipalities. For this purpose, bibliographical analysis, document analysis, non-directive interviews, and exchange workshop are carried out, in order to capture the actors' perception and discourse about the progress of the agroecological transition. It was concluded that agroecology is consolidated in both municipalities due to the institutionalization process in its different dimensions, due to the articulation of actors such as family farmers and their institutions, the introduction of women and young people in agroecology, access to new markets and public policies. However, they need to move forward in dialogue with local management, stakeholder renewal, and rapprochement with movements such as STTRS.
