(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-18) AFONSO, Tatiana; SILVA, Simone Souza da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9044423720257634
The present study used the perspective contextual and the Bioecological Theory of Humam Development to identify the perceptions shared among parentes of children with mental disabilities from a bordering community (Ilha do Combu, Pará). It was followed the three families who had a son with mental deficiency registered in the Belém’s Municipal Secretary of Education and / or diagnosis that proved the mental disability. Ethical concerns have been taken in approving the project by ethics committee of UFPA and awareness of participants about the objectives and the risks involved and the secrecy of their identities. The approach of the researcher to the investigated context occurred by the Ecological Engagement methodology. The collects was divided into two distinct stages: first there were regular visits to families registered by the instrument field diary, so the researcher sought to integrate into the environment by successive interactions and became as close as possible of the participants and the second moment it was used the ISD (Inventory socio-demographic) and FIT (Family Identification Test). The results pointed differentiated conditions of development of the children in accordance with perceptions shared by your parents and the contextual features presented on the island. The positive identifications were associated to the good performance of parents’ cares and perceptions of acceptance and belonging in the family of Ana. In the others families (Taciana and Alexandra) were observed conflicts and difficulties represented by the factors: overload in the cares to the son, rejection of the diagnosis, conflicts between the parents and negative identifications. The search concluded that the perceptions shared by the parents were connected to the support received during the diagnosis, the roles in the family, the characteristics of children and contextual aspects present in the culture marked by the isolation region flooded and that has a network social composed of relatives living on the island for generetions.

Práticas de cuidado, redes de apoio e satisfação social de cuidadores primários de crianças com paralisia cerebral
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-08-31) AFONSO, Tatiana; PONTES, Fernando Augusto Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1225408485576678
The present study aimed to understand the care of the child with cerebral palsy from the perspective of the primary caregiver focusing on their practices, social satisfaction, learning, dedication and support received. To do so, it was subdivided as follows: a theoretical study in periodicals linked to the Psynet APA database using a protocol adapted from the Cochrane Collaboration guidelines for the systematic review of the literature with the descriptors child care and cerebral palsy and four empirical researches. Two quantitative studies carried out with 101 primary caregivers of children aged 0 to 12 years with diagnosis of cerebral palsy and two qualitative studies using the Teoria Fundamentada on interviews with 13 mothers of children with CP performed in their homes. Study 1, about reviewing, made possible the understanding of the scientific productions about care in cerebral palsy, indicating five main areas: the parents' perception of the rehabilitation process, experiences in daily care, support received, parental satisfaction and experiences by feeding. Based on the themes raised by the review, empirical research was delineated. In this sense, the second study sought to understand the care practices and supports received, the results indicated that caregivers showed higher frequencies regarding primary care and body contact. Emotional support was strongly correlated with the information received and the positive social interaction experienced by the primary caregiver. In addition to the supports, the levels of caregiver satisfaction, which was the objective of the third study, were investigated, and the results indicated good general social satisfaction mainly among caregivers of children evaluated as being more compromised. Such evidence was unexpected, but extremely positive when it was reflected on the psychology of primary caregivers, with emphasis on the family satisfaction dimension, which was significantly more present, especially among caregivers of children with greater impairment. The other articles related to studies 4 and 5 were qualitative, inspired by the Teoria Fundamentada on interviews with 13 mothers of children with CP performed in their homes and the analyzes about the data emerged from the speeches themselves. The analysis of maternal care in the CP highlighted three main elements: dedication as a central aspect in care; the practices performed in solitary way, associated with the fears of diagnosis, convulsions and the future; and finally, the support related to the lack of orientation and professional care. The last work, fifth study, with the same methodology applied to the fourth study, emphasized the learning about the perception of being a special mother and the construction of intense and never imagined learning.

(2015-04) AFONSO, Tatiana; SILVA, Simone Souza da Costa; PONTES, Fernando Augusto Ramos; KOLLER, Silvia Helena
The present study aims to demonstrate the use of daily field research in the natural context from the perspective of Bronfenbrenner's bioecological model. For purposes of illustration are presented data that were part of the masters research of the first author that investigated the perceptions of a family with a child with intellectual disabilities in the Amazon's river context. After data collection, data were organized based on the concepts proposed by Bronfenbrenner. The field diary allowed the deepening of analyses that were included both contextual factors (Amazon's river culture) and personal (characteristics of the child and parents) and procedural (relationships, family roles and shared activities). The data are discussed considering the contribution of the field diary in research that investigating families in context.
