    The research deals with teaching in basic education in municipal schools in Bethlehem The problem that conducted the investigation was the search for a possible relationship between working conditions and the casualization and intensification of teachers' work in the municipal schools of Bethlehem the overall objective was to analyze data from the national Survey teaching Work in Basic Education, the working conditions of teachers who work in the municipal school in Bethlehem, more specifically it sought: analyzing educational policies in the years 2003-2010 and its possible repercussions on teaching; investigate, from survey data teaching Work in Basic Education, casualization and intensification of teaching in the schools surveyed. To achieve the research was a literature review concerning working conditions, intensification and casualization of teaching. The theoretical-methodological procedure consisted of desk research, in which we used secondary data research Teaching Work in Basic Education for the state of Pará, establishing relationships with national laws that deal with the valuation, compensation and working conditions that professional. The conclusions that have been reached may imply that the worker is not satisfied with teaching various aspects related to working conditions, salary, career, school infrastructure, among others. The analysis of the data indicate that teachers belonging to the municipal school in Bethlehem are undergoing processes of casualization and intensification of work depending on the material and objective conditions that underlie the teaching profession in this city.
