Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Imersão virtual no movimento de mulheres das ilhas de Belém, Pará, Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-09) GUERRA, Gutemberg Armando Diniz; MESQUITA, OsvaldoThe aim of this article is to describe the methodological process of monitoring the Belem Islands Women's Movement - MMIB, originally from May 24 to December 30, 2016, and later with updates until 2019, through the group of WhatsApp created by the leaderships, and other virtual instruments that served as source of information for the elaboration of a Master's thesis. As one of the communication tools among the members of the organization was WhatsApp, it was requested that researchers could be allowed to join the group, since it would allow them to be aware of all their activities. Besides the virtual communication, frequent visits were made throughout the year 2016, particularly during collaborative efforts (grouping), meetings, project activities, festive activities and visits for interviews with members of the organization. It is concluded by the enormous importance of this daily means of communication that allows a visualization of the relationship between group members and their sympathizers, performing as an element of utility with wide possibilities of communication, registration and immersion in the research environment.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Usos de produtos florestais não madeireiros – PFNMs nas Ilhas de Belém, Pará, Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) MESQUITA, Osvaldo; GUERRA, Gutemberg Armando Diniz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4262726973211880This work analyzes the uses of forest products that aren’t made from woods the Belém Islands Women’s Movement - MMIB, which is based in Cotijuba Island, Belém - Pará. This movement has an important role in the communities Cotijuba’s island and its surroundings. The MMIB is an entity that develops actions aimed at dignifying a life of its associates and the surrounding communities, and It develops projects of an educational, social, environmental and economic nature in order to get the generation of income for its participants. The entity has a diverse range of partners, from teaching and research institutions, NGO’s and private institutions. These partnerships have made itpossible for the MMIB to have a constant dynamism in its entity and involving a diverse public. Seeks to understand the relationships between this entity with PFNMs, based on agroextractivist ways, and how these resources are commercialized, mainly the buyer Natura Cosmetics and the processing of this material for the production of handicrafts. And an effort to understand how is the relationship of this entity MMIB with Natura, with the islanders of the municipality and as gender issues within the entity, which is also composed with men.
