In this way, the objective of this research is to analyze the importance of leadership in engagement at work and its effects on creative self-efficacy and turnover intention among state civil servants working in a public institution in the state of Pará. Thus, the study is classified as exploratory and descriptive, with non-probabilistic sampling by judgment, through a survey with 252 questionnaires. Data collection was online and data processing used structural equation modeling (PLS SEM). The results presented in this research confirmed the influence of leadership, as an organizational resource, to maintain workers' engagement, and the effect relationship between engagement, self-efficacy and turnover intention was also confirmed. The conclusions recommend the improvement of people management policies so that interpersonal relationships can be developed beyond respect for technical skills, so that greater organizational commitment and improvements in public service can be fostered.
