Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Concepções e tendências de ensino de ciências na prática dos professores e orientadores de CPADC/Castanhal(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2005-07) MIRANDA, Ailton Lima; RAPOSO, Elinete Oliveira; NUNES, Inez TrindadeStudy proposes an analysis of the main trends in science education practices among science teachers in Castanhal country, Pará , Brazil. Research was carried out through semi-structered interviews with Science/Biology teachers, specially those working at the CPADC/Castanhal. Sample also included teachers who took part in the initial phase of the Group for Scientific Development (NPADC), a project based at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), which raised awareness and improved the quality of science teaching in the state of Pará. Four categories were analysed: science education trends, experimentation in science Education, the use of school books and teachers´ working conditions.
