Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) La ciencia de la información y la producción científica brasileña sobre información ambiental(Instituto Internacional de la UNESCO para la Educación Superior en América Latina y el Caribe, 2022) OLIVEIRA, Hamilton Vieira de; VALENTIM, Marta Lígia PomimThe paper analyzes the knowledge production on environmental information in Brazil within the scope of Information Science in the period 2000-2019. It retrieves the production on the subject in the main national and international bibliographic sources of scientific articles and theses and dissertations. The reading, classification and analysis of the papers found indicate that the identified production does not cover, in a balanced way, the main categories of study in the scientific field of Information Science, and that it is dispersed with regard to the institutions of origin, editors and the articulation among the authors. We believe that by means of an academic-scientific planning, Information Science can significantly contribute to a more institutionalized scientific production on environmental information, better distributed in its subareas of study and more aligned with the social relevance of the environmental issue.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A visibilidade internacional da comunicação científica de pesquisadores de instituições da Amazônia brasileira(Universidade de Brasília, 2003) OLIVEIRA, Hamilton Vieira de; MUELLER, Suzana Pinheiro Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4140890737112740Research on the international visibility of scientific communication of researchers from institutions of the Amazon region. Based on specialized literature, it states that the communication of knowledge brought by less traditional countries in the scientific field faces a great difficulty when it comes to publishing material in specialized periodicals of international prestige. Through analyses on the Institute for Scientific Information – ISI database, as well as interviews with researches from the main post-graduation programs in the Amazon region, this work identifies and analyzes conditions that are related to the success of researchers that published their articles in international periodicals. It concludes that collaboration among researchers from the Amazon region and other specialists from other countries, as through the co-authorship of works, can facilitate the publication in specialized literature, and, also, that scientific leadership is a distinctive factor when it comes to academic production and communication of the researches in international periodicals.
