The objective of this article is to describe in an analytical way, how a river community near of Belém city, produces and reproduces the conditions of their material life production. The text is based on exploratory field research, known as Survey type, with “in situ” observations, non-directive interviews and photographic records. In conclusion, the reality of the local riverside families is characterized by the multiplicity of laboral activities and the typical rationality of familiar base production and reproduction processes. Certainly, this socioeconomic dynamic is reproduced in other riverine territories in the Amazon. What follows are discussions proposed from previous objectives.
