Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representações de adolescentes e jovens em Belém sobre o ECA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-08-19) SANTOS, Marilene Silva dos; NASCIMENTO, Maria Antônia Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2918467728101022The objective was to analyze the representations of young people in Bethlehem on the ACE. The dissertation sought to guide the fundamentals of the method from the Historical and Dialectical Materialism, particularly the reference to Henri Lefebvre on the social representation. The methodological approach was expressed through the survey and document analysis as the ECA, decrees and laws, report of the First National Conference for Youth Policy and consultation to government websites. Interviews were conducted with thirteen teenagers and young adults, aged 16-28 years, of both sexes. However, only eight respondents participated in the empirical discussion. The criterion used for determining the sample of respondents prioritized the binding of three segments: the social and educational measures, ProJovem Program / adolescents and young activists of a political entity. It was found that adolescents who have been targeted in social policies proposed by the ECA, as the socio-educational measures and pro-youth, can not perceive the actions as the embodiment of law provided for them. They also reported having little knowledge about what is positive status, but have the consciousness that dominates a negative representation of the ECA. The young, demonstrated understanding more aware and /or politicized about ACE and policies for youth, highlighting gains and field boundaries. For these, the Act does not meet the real needs of Children and Adolescents, mainly because the action of operators of the same is limited. It was concluded that many studies have discussed this issue, without disregarding the importance of the Statute, but stresses that much remains to be done so that law can best be recognized by those who need it.
