Baú de memórias: o leprosário de Marituba/PA em meio a recordações de uma ex-interna (1940-1970)

The present study aims to reflect on the contributions of the memory narratives of ex-inmates at the Hospital Colônia de Marituba/PA, from 1940 to 1970; memories of a lived time that allow to enter the cultural universe of this institution. In the form of a total institution, the City Hospital housed hundreds of lives for the treatment of leprosy. We used as materials for the construction of this analysis interviews with ex-interns of the institution, images about the institution and newspapers. Narratives appear as a form of teaching, which combined with iconographies, texts and testimonies, become important sources of evidence. We used as a theoretical contribution the authors: Bresciani and Naxara (2004), Bosi (1998), Burke (2017), Goffman (1994), Halbwachs (2003), Meihy and Holanda (1997). The narratives and images point to life experiences of the leprosy, a group that has been silenced by brazilian history. Marituba is revealed by agile memories and tired feet that still leave marks on the stones of the city.

Escola confessional feminina na segunda metade do século XX: um estudo acerca do Educandário Nossa Senhora dos Anjos/PA

The present work aims to analyze some aspects about the installation of Educandário Nossa Senhora dos Anjos, in the second half of the 20th century, focused only on the formation of girls based on christian principles. The sources are Louro (1994; 2003), Del Priore (2000), Scott (1995), Foucault (2009), Perrot (1995). In the second half of the 20th century, european and american woman from the bourgeois classes began to occupy spaces in society, with the permission to contribute with activities in social assistance, in the care of people and in the education of children. This study highlights the need to raise research in the contribution of gender studies. In the 1950s, the local elite of Abaetetuba prioritized female education. Men and women received instruction in the same environment. This condition did not please catholic families. Therefore, an school for the instruction of girls is founded.

A infância em processos judiciais em Belém do Pará: um estudo discursivo sobre o caso do menor Manoel dos Santos (1905)

The objective is to analyze childhood and criminality in Belém do Pará from the discursive statements of the judicial process of the minor Manoel dos Santos, convicted of disorder/vagrancy, in 1905. This research arises from historical and epistemological constructions established within the scope of master's course, whose investigation is anchored in the referred criminal process. Methodologically, it uses the analysis of polyphonic and dialogical speech with theoretical basis in Bakhtin. This is a documentary study that is inserted in the context of socioeconomic transformations and the project to modernize the capital of Pará due to the commercialization of rubber, that made the city a place of orderly customs and habits, according to the republican education model and logic current positivist. This métier shows a bias in the systematization of the speeches in this document, where it was possible to identify the meanings and senses that constituted the case files of the process based on the Penal Code of 1890.
