Aspectos epistemológicos da ciência da informação: a transcendência da teoria crítica de habermas e os paradigmas da ciência da informação

This research aims to understand the paradigms of Information Science (IS) through the critical theory of Jürgen Habermas, searching through the interpretative signs some clues to the epistemological uncertainties of these paradigms from a historical-hermeneutic point of view. The objective of this study is to investigate the paradigms of IS identified by Capurro under the historical-hermeneutic perspective and the dialogue with the critical theory of Habermas in order to offer a more critical perception of these paradigms. In the methodological approach we reviewed the theoretical research, with the aid of the bibliographic basis hermeneutics. The results show that within the paradigms of information, the emancipatory studies can be employed through a communicative action. Finally, we must think in the grounds taken as true in IS and Librarianship in a way to think of a necessary reform to rebuild the settled paradigms of IS.

Construções intersubjetivas na prática profissional bibliotecária: reflexões

The article addresses intersubjective practice in Librarianship and progressive action, in order to find clues about the receptivity that involves this science as a humanistic area, establishes critical and emancipatory thoughts aiming at the bonds of cooperativity. For this, it contemplating theory and practice and re-signifies technical action by the Progressive (social) action of the librarian. This is a theoretical research, with a critical and interpretative approach, based on the thinking of Jürgen Habermas on communicative action and based on the hermeneutical characterization, which tries to develop in the discursive action, in the intersubjective dialogue of Librarianship and in the social role of the librarian. The study show that it is necessary to lead librarians closer to the social, with mediation discursive practices, and to build contributions to think beyond the instrumental aporias and to go beyond the paradigms that are instituted. Through communicative reasons, the reform of the constructs (instrumental) of the ideology of the technique comes to tow, in the perspective of making users more autonomous. Therefore, although it is an interpretative base study, one can assert the progressive and critical librarianship is a starting point for other studies, an open path to information science and its epistemological base studies.

Narrativas da censura informacional registrada sob a ótica historiográfica: apreciações a partir da influência do Terceiro Reich Alemão

The article investigates the historiographical context of German Third Reich locating their ways of censorship, its influence with political propaganda Nazi and its climax with bücherverbrennung action (book burning) involving German libraries. It establishes itself as a theoretical approach of historical, bibliographic and documentary character, adopting the knowledge of evidence, evidencing the interpretative aspects of other forms of knowledge that share the clues and footprints through indirect knowledge. It presents the context of censorship in books from the historiographical narratives of the Third German Reich, highlighting the intention of Nazi intolerance, which was marked against freedom of expression and knowledge, propagated by propagandist strategies employed to influence adherents to practices of Nazi extremism. Rescues the memory of German librarians in your function were persecuted by the Nazi barbarism and, at the same time, captives of an outrageous regime on the achievements of their role as disseminators of knowledge and scientific aspects, technical and humanist.

(Re)visitando o Estado Novo no Brasil: uma análise da censura e a difusão cultural dos livros nas bibliotecas

The article about the relations between censorship and the measures of implementation of the cultural dissemination of the books in the libraries, in the Estado Novo, in Brazil. It presents a theoretical approach of a historical, bibliographic and documentary nature, in which the indicium knowledge was adopted by which interpretative aspects of other forms of knowledge that share the clues and footprints through indirect knowledge are evidenced. Considerations are made on the development of the Instituto Nacional do Livro in libraries, under the influence of the Estado Novo, and the relation of censorship with the Departamento de Imprensa e Propaganda, which was connected to the interests of the government in relation to the expansion and dissemination of books. It is considered that the book and the reading were great efforts in the politics of Vargas in the Estado Novo, with the creation of Instituto Nacional do Livro, a dangerous act, in advertising, instanced in the name of morality and good manners and, as a result of censorship and repression of the freedom of expression of the great Brazilian authors, such as Jorge Amado, Monteiro Lobato, Cecilia Meireles and José Lins do Rego. Therefore, it is necessary to question, because there is still a tendency to the conservative vestiges, such as the ones from Estado Novo due to the usual traditions established in the work environments, the climate of vigilance in the institutions and the common policies in libraries.

Reflexão Bibliotecária no ato de mediar: entre a racionalidade e a concepção representacionista da informação

It discusses library mediation from Fred Dretske informational action, the findability and usability of information through affordances in Jerome Gibson, and communicative action on the basis of Habermasian thinking from a critical and interpretive approach. In methodological terms, this is a theoretical research, with a critical and interpretive approach, which tries to develop the informational perception of the librarian in informational environments, which is responsible for the formation of information patterns that direct the perception-action of its users. In conclusion, it is considered that information as a phenomenon of cognitive action emerges by fissuring the technical structures of information theory by developing in the discursive act and in the intersubjective dialogue of the librarian as mediator and in the subjects that seek the knowledge available in libraries.
