It presents the traditional methods of fishing used with characteristics of a region and how these knowledge contribute to the theoretical knowledge. As a way of reflection we used the studies of Fernandes and Fernandes (2015) to understand the knowledge and knowledge of traditional peoples, as well as Carvalho (2007) to discuss topics related to culture.

In this context, the research aims to identify significant changes in the natural space of Ajuruteua beach in the perception of the fishermen village of fishermen located in Ajuruteua Island. For further integration in the environmental analysis, the issue was addressed with emphasis on the main actors and the interactions between the membership and the natural environment.

With the strong migration propaganda in Europe, the State of Pará was the stage entrance for many European immigrants, among them, the Spanish. Attracted by agriculture which was in a high position in the state, due to the creation of colonial settlements, several Spanish families, coming many times from poor settlements, crossed the Atlantic and reconstructed their lives in various colonial centers of the State of Pará. Thus, this study is to investigate which socio-economic contributions of Spanish immigrants to the development of northeastern. From now on, it is possible to understand all the process of introduction of these settlers in Pará territory and their daily lives in the settlement, with the use of official documents and interview to demonstrate this experience of Spanish in Amazon. With this, pretend to give a contribute to research the field of historiographical studies on international migration in the Amazon, considering that there is still shortage of work in the migration studies in the region, except for some works recognized by researchers who dedicated themselves to the theme of migration in the paraense territory.

- Artigo de Periódico - Acesso aberto (Open Access) Migração e colonização da transamazônica na obra de Odette de Barros Mott(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) SILVA, José Valtemir Ferreira da; SMITH JÚNIOR, Francisco Pereira; SILVA, Aline Costa daThe present study aims to reflect on migration process for the colonization of the Transamazon highway in the 1970s from the analysis of the work Transa Amazônica (the great illusion), by the writer Odette de Barros Mott. Thus the approach takes as its starting point the literary work, and the consultation of books, newspapers and other sources of publication of the time, with a view to providing a discussion in order to dialogue on the issues exposed in the narrative. Thus, it is seen that relevant points of immigration and colonization of the Transamazônica were presented, which allow an analysis of the daily life of the highway from the literature. In view of the above, this approach helps to reiterate the importance of the author for national literature, and to collaborate for the various works on the great projects of the Amazon.
- Artigo de Periódico - Acesso aberto (Open Access) Migração negra interna e identidade no quilombo do América uma contribuição(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) SANTIAGO, Ketno Lucas; SMITH JÚNIOR, Francisco Pereira; SOUZA, Ana Paula Vieira eThis research is the result of a bibliographical review on the migration category, whose focus is the black migration, as well as the studies about the cultural identity in the Quilombola community of America, located in the city of Bragança, State of Pará The main objective is to locate studies that deal with issues such as migration, black migration and forced and internal migration. Articulate the migratory movements with the studies developed on cultural issues produced by the quilombola population, as well as indicate indicatives for the constitution of an identity vision in the formation of these traditional peoples. Methodologically, the path covered is a historiographical one, through a bibliographical review, identifying theories that contributed to establish a dialogue between the suggested categories. Initially the results indicate that the arrival of Africans in Brazil and in the Bragantina Amazon Region occurred through a process of forced black migration and internal migration. The economic factor is the predominant hypothesis, which motivated the displacement of this population. Self-identification is a vision of belonging, presents some evidence of the identity and cultural character of the remaining quilombolas. We conclude that it was possible to identify some authors that approach on the issue of migration and its variations, authors that dialogue with the thematic identity and culture. It was possible to identify, in a preliminary way, that the cultural identity of the quilombola population has traits due to their belonging and resistance against the forms of oppression and violation of their rights as inhabitants of Quilombo of America over the years.
- Artigo de Periódico - Acesso aberto (Open Access) Princesa do Xingu: colonização e migração na Amazônia paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) LIMA, Suzanny da Silva; SMITH JÚNIOR, Francisco PereiraThis paper aims to present a conceptual discussion about the terms involving migration, emigration and immigration based on references such as Sayad (1998), Ianni (2004) and Klein (2000) in the context of the creation and implantation of the Xingu Princess, in the municipality of Altamira-Pará. This context is situated in the period of opening and construction of the Transamazonic highway during the government of the general-president Emílio Garrastazu Médici in the 70’s, that also involved the plan of colonization and, consequently, the migratory movements in all the extension of the great the work in question. Interviews with two pioneers of the agricultural village were made in order to have testimony from the perspective of some of the residents who lived and witnessed events that marked the history of creation and founding of the community from their migration to the Amazon.
