This is a quantitative research with an observational and cross sectional design. Canadian Occupational Performance Measure was applied in 12 patients, and the data collection was performed from June to August 2016. The dimensions of occupational performance such as working, traveling, eating, and house tasks suffered a significant change after the start of the Peritoneal Dialysis treatment. All areas/dimensions observed presented changes and affected the occupations performed. It is necessary to evaluate and accompany the patients and their occupational activities so that better interventions during their care can be carried out.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Implicações do pronto-atendimento psicológico de emergência aos que vivenciam perdas significativas(2009) SOUZA, Airle Miranda de; MOURA, Danielle do Socorro Castro; CORRÊA, Victor Augusto CavaleiroThe proposal of this work consisted in presenting a service of psychological attendance to the ones who are experiencing a significant loss, be it by the death of a person of a significant relationship, as a familiar or a friend, the death of a pacient or the loss of health at the time of hospitalization, within others, and the results of such service were discussed. The methodological focus was based in the analysys over the structuration process and the implantation of a service of this specialty in a public college hospital, where the authors developed the assistance to the ones who experience this kind of loss. The results showed the importance of this service, which was demanded not only by the ones who experience loss of health or death of a significant person but also by education and health professionals.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Plantão psicológico no Brasil (1997-2009): saberes e práticas compartilhados(2011-06) SOUZA, Bianca Nascimento de; SOUZA, Airle Miranda deThe purpose of this study was to investigate scientific production on Emergency Psychological Services in Brazil between 1997 and 2009 by trawling scientific, electronic databases, using the descriptor Emergency Psychological Services. Thirty-eight abstracts were obtained, analyzed based on the following categories: distribution, authorship, institutional affiliation, source, year, publication support, target population, theoretical approach, nature of work and geographic region of the country. The results suggest that the electronic databases are currently an important source of access to production on Emergency Psychological Services in Brazil. It is in the southeast where we see a prevalence in production on this subject, as well as the use of the Person-Centered Approach, revealing a greater emphasis on research related to dissertations, with the greatest level of production being noted in 2005 and 2006.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representação mental das relações de apego de um indivíduo diagnosticado com transtorno depressivo maior(2003-08) AZEVEDO, Celina Monteiro; NASCIMENTO, Lília Nazaré de Souza; MORAES, Marco Aurélio Valle de; SOUZA, Airle Miranda deThe objective of this work was to evaluate the mental representation of attachment relationships in an individual diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. Previous studies suggested a connection between the attachment relationships established in the familial group and pathological functioning models. A case study was performed with a female patient presenting the disorder, who was attended at Ambulatório de Ansiedade e Depressão of Hospital Universitário Betina Ferro de Souza. Eight domiciliary interviews were carried out. The following instruments were used: a) Interview Script; b) Drawing of the Family; c) Family Drawing Checklist of Signs; e d) Family Drawing Global Rating Scales. The results suggested the establishment of anxious and hesitating attachment relationships, revealing a very high global pathology. Generally, they demand from family members the task of being caretakers, implying in their day-to-day occupations. The occupations are the various daily actions carried out by individuals, in groups and in the communities to which they belong, to fill the time and bring meanings and purposes to life. The occupational form understands what people do, how they do it, and in what circumstances they do. It is understood that caregivers of people who are in palliative care have a peculiar way of occupying themselves and with characteristic conditions. Objective: To understand the form of occupations of the main caregivers of people in oncological palliative care. Method: This is a qualitative research, carried out at a reference hospital in palliative care in the Northern Region of Brazil, at the Oncology Palliative Care Clinic (CCPO). An open interview was conducted with 20 family caregivers. Results: Outstanding changes in routine organization and dedication to caring for the loved one in palliative care. It also revealed that being a caregiver led to the difficult task of including, maintaining, and excluding day-to-day occupations. Conclusion: The study highlights the implications in the occupational repertoire in the condition of being a caregiver in palliative care and how the occupation is developed and drawing attention to the need for health professionals to direct their attention also to caregivers.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Vivências de pais e/ou cuidadores de crianças com autismo em um serviço de plantão psicológico(Universidade Federal da Bahia, 2018) NOBRE, Diana da Silva; SOUZA, Airle Miranda deObjective: to reveal the experiences of parents and / or caregivers of children with autism in a Psychological Service. Method: a descriptive, qualitative study with phenomenological inspiration, carried out with six parents / guardians by a nongovernmental organization located in Belém, Pará, Brazil. An interview and the versions of meaning were used for data collection. After analyzing the convergent points present in the versions of meaning, the analysis of the data was performed through the formation of three themes of meanings. Results: There was a formation of three themes of meaning: “mourning due to the diagnosis of autism”; “Difficulties with childcare” and “social isolation”.
