Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Biocompósito a partir de PLA, Biovidro e Nanotubos de Carbono por Impressão 3D visando Regeneração Óssea(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-31) VASCONCELOS, Esleane Vilela; REIS, Marcos Allan Leite; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8252507933374637; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2226-2653; CANDIDO, Verônica Scarpini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8274665115727809; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3926-0403Bone involvement promoted by aging and accidents has aroused interest in biomaterials and technologies for bone regeneration purposes. Thus, 3D printing technology gained prominence in the production of scaffolds due to its versatility in the production of complex geometries with interconnected pores. In this work, scaffolds composed of poly (lactic acid) (PLA), bioglass (BV) and carbon nanotubes (NTC) were produced by 3D printing, using hexagonal geometry, similar to honeycomb, interleaved. Poly (lactic acid) is a biopolymer already used in biomaterials, while bioglass has proven to be an excellent strategy for use in bone regeneration due to its excellent properties of biocompatibility, bioactivity and osteointegration, however they have low mechanical resistance and carbon nanotubes have shown excellent mechanical reinforcement in composite biomaterials. Thus, the main objective of this study was to produce and characterize a biocomposite of PLA, bioglass and carbon nanotubes by 3D printing and to study its chemical structure, crystallineity and morphology, using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. The thermal stability of the composite was evaluated by thermogravimetry, mechanical properties by compression tests and cell viability was determined by the Alamar Blue test. The bioglass was synthesized by sol-gel method presenting bioactive phases of silicate. The scaffolds were produced by 3D printing with hexagonal structures in honeycomb in PLA, PLA/BV and PLA/NTC that were impregnated with bioglass on its surface. The results of the scaffolds demonstratedinterconnected and well-defined pores, ranging from 130 μm to 800 μm. Raman spectroscopy confirmed the interaction of BV in the polymer matrix through new peaks in the spectrum between 1400 and 2600 cm-1 and the presence of the D, G and 2D bands of NTC. In the compression assay, PLA scaffolds with 2 mm diameter showed higher compression stress of 14.88 ± 2.35 MPa, while PLA/NTC higher modulus of apparent compression, 0.58 ± 0.36 GPa. In cell viability, statistical tests showed that there was no significant difference between scaffolds with 2 and 4 mm diameter. The results reveal promising results for the use of 3D printed composites in bone repair sponges. Thus, we suggest the composite of PLA/NTC of 4mm impregnated with BV on the surface as the best bone substitute, however, the application in implants remains limited in relation to osteogenic integration.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Constituição cidadã e representações sociais: uma reflexão sobre modelos de assistência à saúde(2010-12) SILVA, Sílvio Éder Dias da; RAMOS, Flávia Regina Souza; MARTINS, Cleusa Rios; PADILHA, Maria Itayra; VASCONCELOS, Esleane VilelaThis article presents a reflection on the meaning of the terms citizenship and health, addressing the Theory of Social Representations as a strategy for implementing and evaluating health care models in Brazil. First, a brief history about the concept of citizenship is presented; then the article addresses the principles of freedom and equality according to Kant; the third section of the article shows that health is as a right of the citizen and a duty of the state. Finally, the Theory of Social Representations is emphasized as a strategy to evaluate and implement the health services provided to citizens by the current health care models in Brazil.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Esse tal Nicolau: representações sociais de mulheres sobre o exame preventivo do câncer cérvico-uterino(2010-09) SILVA, Sílvio Éder Dias da; VASCONCELOS, Esleane Vilela; SANTANA, Mary Elizabeth de; RODRIGUES, Ivaneide Leal Ataíde; MAR, Dayse Farias; CARVALHO, Francilene da Luz CarvalhoThis research aims to identify women's social representations of women regarding cervical cancer and describe the relationship of these social representations with preventive care. The study used a qualitative-exploratory approach, with the theory of social representations as the theoreticalconceptual support. Data collection was performed using two techniques: the free association of words and the semi-directed interview with open questions. The thematic analysis technique was used for data interpretation. The research resulted in two thematic units: cervical cancer: an early treatable wound and the screening test: taking because of fearing. It was observed that women have great fear of having cervical cancer and, therefore, recognize the importance of the screening test and see it as an act of self-care towards their health.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representações sociais de mulheres amazônidas sobre o exame papanicolau: implicações para a saúde da mulher(2008-12) SILVA, Sílvio Éder Dias da; VASCONCELOS, Esleane Vilela; SANTANA, Mary Elizabeth de; LIMA, Vera Lúcia de Azevedo; CARVALHO, Francilene da Luz Carvalho; MAR, Dayse FariasThis research has as objective to describe the social representations of women amazônidas on the Papanicolau examination and to analyze the implications of this for the same care of itself. One is about a qualitative-exploratório study with the use of the Theory of the social representations. The collection of data was carried through in the period from January through December of 2007, with the use of two techniques: the interview half-structuralized with open questions and the free comment. For the interpretation of these data the technique of analysis of thematic content was used. The research had as a result, three thematic units, thus called: The Papanicolau examination - a care with the health of the woman; Taboos and beliefs on the Papanicolau examination; and practical One of same care of itself: the Papanicolau examination. In the study we observe that the women are afraid of having uterine neoplasm for this reason, the Papanicolau examination represents a practical care of itself.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representações sociais de mulheres mastectomizadas e suas implicações para o autocuidado(2010-10) SILVA, Sílvio Éder Dias da; VASCONCELOS, Esleane Vilela; SANTANA, Mary Elizabeth de; RODRIGUES, Ivaneide Leal Ataíde; LEITE, Teodolina Valente; SANTOS, Lucialba Maria Silva dos; SOUSA, Ralrizônia Fernandes; CONCEIÇÃO, Vander Monteiro da; OLIVEIRA, Jackline Leite de; MEIRELES, Wanda do NascimentoThe purposes of this research was to identify the social representations of women on breast mastectomy and to analyze the implications of these social representations to care for self-care. This is a qualitative study using the Theory of Social Representations as theoretical reference. For data collection it was employed two techniques: the free association of ideas and observation. For data analysis the thematic analysis was used. The research resulted in two thematic units: the breast and its representations of social change in the body and social representations of women mastectomy: implications for self care. In the study, showed that women objected care of the breasts through the realization of self-examination.
