Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Álbum de leitura de Rachel de Queiroz(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-08-31) SILVA, Joana Angélica de Souza; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840In Brazil, in the decades of 1930 to 1960, a novel collection became very popular and consumed by young women from the medium class. These romances were translated and edited by Companhia Editora Nacional (SP), they were sold all over the country with the title Coleção Biblioteca das moças. The collection was composed by 175 volumes and most of them were written by M. Delly (35 volumes). M. Delly was a pseudonym of a couple of French brothers – Fréderic Henri Petitjean de La Rosiére (1870 – 1949) and Jeanne-Marie Henriette Petitjean de La Rosiére (1875-1947). One of the readers of this collection was Rachel de Queiroz (who will be emphasized in this work). Rachel in one of her books called Tantos Anos – Uma biografia, mentions three books from this collection: Corações Inimigos, Freirinha and Mitsi. Rachel, exactly like other thousand of Brazilian readers, found in these books an escape of this sad reality. Knowing the importance that this collection had for the feminine public during the decades of 30 to 60, this work intends to talk about the well succeed relation between the books of this collection and the readers, and wants to recover the image of the empiric writer Rachel de Queiroz.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Antônio Tavernard: vida em versos de um flâneur estático(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-02-02) JANGOUX, Izabela de Almeida Alves; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125AntônioTavernard is a poet whose literary work has not inspired many cientific studies. The little that is known about him is the little part taught: a sad poet and pessimist and romantic poetry. Therefore, Tavernard´s writing brings more elements than we use to think. The real drama the poet lived represents a lot for the ones who aims to understand his texts, but it shall not be the only way to be followed by Tavernard´s readers. The life he lived on the backyard of his house and the social segregation due to an uncurable illness made possible the revelation of new views over a common situation. This research proposes a different path through Tavernard’s poetry work, recognizing its poetic spaces. With Walter Benjamin’s definition of flâneur, this adjective is applied to the poet on a metaphoric way, because even on a physically static form, he wanders through Belém in the beginning of the 20th century using his feelings and readings, showing the city singularly, much like Baudelaire has once done to Paris.By the reading of many editions of the now exctinct ‘A Semana’ magazine, this research also shows the relation the poet’s work had with a contemporary audience made up by many famous writers from the local scene like, for example, Bruno the Menezes.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Arquivos, bibliotecas e periódicos na Vigia oitocentista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-09-01) ARAÚJO, Joseane Sousa; SOUZA, Simone Cristina Mendonça de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9233950092812632; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840The 19th century was a period in history marked by changes in the Brazil. The quantitative sociolinguistics (LABOV, 1972) whow was employed to study the dialectal variations within the speech community where the research was carried out. Bortoni-Ricardo’s (1985) procedures to study reference groups were used to compose the sample. Samples of speech of 36 participants in the research were divided into two groups (anchorage and control) and classified by age and sex for analysis. PRAAT Program and the GOLDVARB X Program were used to segment and analyze the 1.720 occurrences of the target variables. The results indicate that the rule of vowel raising of the studied variable does not apply (32.1% for /e/ and 17.7% for /o/). Five groups of factors were selected for the study of /e/ and seven for the study of /o/. According to the results, the raising of mid pretonic vowels is favored due to the presence of: a high vowel (.62 for /e/ and .88 for /o/); a nasalized tonic vowel (.71 for /e/ and /o/), a nasalized pretonic vowel (.68 for /e / and .86 for o/).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Contos de Machado de Assis n’a Folha do Norte (1896-1900)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-09-26) SILVA, Daniele Santos da; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840This dissertation analyse the publication from six Machado de Assis‘ tales in the periodical from Pará Folha do Norte between 1896 and 1900: ―Uma Carta‖, ―Uns Braços‖, ―O Diplomático‖, ―Adão e Eva‖, ―A Cartomante‖ and ―Conto de Escola‖, taking account the historical context that the tales was published, 19th century. One of the oldest existing technologies, the writing, is redesigned, according to the technical characteristics of new technologies. This search proposes a discussion about the cultural effects of contemporary times in the trend of making literature, focusing analysis of the virtual dimension offered by new media technologies, especially the Internet (SANTAELLA, 2007). From the analysis of the new formats of circulation and expression offered by cyberspace (LEVY, 1999), like blogs, discuss how the field of contemporary media interferes with the current narrative-literary practices (MARCUSCHI, 2010), changing the forms of interaction writer/literature, writer/reader and reader/literature, by engendering a mediation function which, in turn, creates new cultural process of remodeling of patterns of perception of the world, individuals and social reality (MARTIN-BARBERO, 2003). To achieve this objective I use the tale „The keeners', by Fabio Castro, and the homonym short film, by Jorane from Castro, allowing a focused study on a specific material of analysis focused on the customs, beliefs, myth, hybridization and intercultural translations which emerge from this work. The purpose of this research is to study the tale and the short film, emphasizing the difference in distinct used languages and show the “universal reading” that is possible to withdraw from each of these artistic expressions. This research intends to present a “universal reading” from a paraense tale themed on the Amazon reality and emphasize the study of myths and oral traditions which involve the creation and spreading of Fabio Castro‟s tale. The myths and oral traditions allow a (re)construction and development of knowledge that underlie the activity of reading (such as artistic, cultural, social, philosophical and historical knowledge) as well as enrich and (re)assert the Latin American identity. Therefore, this research aims to relate the story of the tale to other readings, such as their approach and similarity to myths, oral traditions and other literature in general. It is understood, therefore, that all these elements constitute a rich literature of great importance to the world, not just to the region where it was produced.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Narrativas orais: cultura e identidade em Santa Cruz do Arari(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-09-12) BENTES, Rosa Maria Ramos; SIMÕES, Maria do Perpétuo Socorro Galvão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0672011058049782This study, inserted in the project IFNOPAP (UFPA), shows the results of a research in oral narratives by the native of Santa Cruz do Arari, which serves, simultaneously, as source and transmission of empirical knowledge produced by rustic man and his relationship with the environment. Its build is developed in a way of not following a historical path of these encounters, not to do it exactly in terms of chronological surveys of the theoretical thoughts that approached the text as writing literary and cinematographic images, but in the aspect of its inscription as a mental image. In this respect, the writing and reading happen as translation, passage and tour of meanings that the text produces, not enclosing a perception anchored in an understanding closed. Taking the writing as a starting point for reading the image and word in literary and cinematographic texts, and it will part from a discussion of topics of theory and criticism in large areas, supporting a transverse organization of this material that takes a set of theory in a strong transdisciplinary marking, it also promotes encounters of Literary Theory with different fields, such as the Visual Arts, films, video, painting, philosophy, history, among others. With the notion of writing used in this work became important to make some considerations based on certain ideas of Roland Barthes and Jacques Derrida, among other scholars and commentators of the term. Another term that runs through this work is the notion of translation, here taken from the reading of authors such as Márcio Seligmann-Silva, Walter Benjamin, Jacques Derrida, Paul Valery, and others. The distinctions of these terms are not due to an effort to delineate the space of fields of study, but rather to assert its perspective of just one opening, or openings, in addition there is the understanding that the membership of certain thoughts, theories and authors have already configured the marking of a position of thought, political position, indeed. The option to these conceptions prints on the bodies of objects of study – writing literary and cinematographic – a difference much in line with the dynamic and moving character of these objects, producing a theoretical resizing of strong political marking. Also it is important in this work to discuss topics of literary studies in order to allow the crossing by the other disciplines. From this outline, the work was completed with readings of literary and cinematographic texts, all of them with strong plural nature in which the encounter between image and word is promoted by writing, and is also an encounter between the theories and artistic modalities, striving for a crossing of the theories and thoughts developed during the writing of the work, in an essayistic and strong marking intertextual treatment, making these readings exercise of opening of the texts.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A poética do corpo na obra Linha-d'-água de Olga Savary(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-12-21) LEITÃO, Andréa Jamilly Rodrigues; FERRAZ, Antônio Máximo von Sohsten Gomes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5982898787473373This paper is an interpretation of the body and its interrelationships with eroticism and love, from a dialogue with the book Linha-d’Água (1987), by Olga Savary (1933). The hypothesis this research articulates the poetic transfiguration of the body under the symbolic element of water as a poetic-ontological staging of the principle of unity between man and nature. Through a hermeneutic approach (RICOEUR, 1990), it is perceived in the poems a opening for textual articulation of a being in the world (being-there), with respect to the dynamics of human existence. The work of art operates a poetic recreation of bodies in the prevailing presence of the water, so that the loving communion establishes an approximation of the human being with its origin as a possibility of reconciliation with nature (PAZ, 1994). To compose this dialogue, we oppose a ecofeminism reading, which understands this operation as a poetic expression of subjectivities related to issues of gender or social roles (SOARES, 1999). Through the erotic impetus, human bodies are compared to a donation of nature, understood as unveiling of what the Greeks called phýsis (HEIDEGGER, 1999). The verses of Linha-d'Água articulate a movement that breaks with the conceptual legacy of Platonic metaphysics, which established a division, that has deepened in the modernity, between man and his carnal condition, between man and the reality. Amid the incessant cyclical dynamics of phýsis, Man must recognize itself in the liquidity of your body the return to primordial basis; on the other hand, he also must assume its condition of being released on the incessant temporal flow. In Savary's work, the human horizon is reinserted, through bodily experience, in reconciliation with that original impulse of nature and, at the same time, with the own living nature of lovers.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Três faces de Haroldo Maranhão: o leitor, o jornalista, o escritor(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-08-27) MEDINA, Maria Juliana da Silva; AUGUSTI, Valéria; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6970953321235328The aim of this dissertation is to discuss part of the trajectory of the writer Haroldo Maranhão (1927-2004) through documents found in his personal archives.
