In the scenario of religious intolerance that we live in today in our society, it is of paramount importance to bring to academia and society knowledge that can combat such practices. Thus, the Afro-religiosity Umbanda became the object of study of our research, which was carried out within an interpretative qualitative approach, making use of some ethnographic instruments such as observation, collection of oral narratives and application of semi-structured questionnaires. We propose to research the genealogical history of Umbanda domain Nanã Buruquê and the "Terreiro of Century XIX", and its interfaces with anthropologization, based on an interdisciplinary perspective, because it believes that this is a sociocultural element of fundamental importance for the maintenance and positive visibility for the practices of Umbanda in the municipality of Castanhal, Pará, Brazil. We start from the following problem: How does anthropization occur within the terraces of umbanda and what are the impacts of this relationship on the socio-environmental environment from an interdisciplinary perspective? What generated the following hypotheses: if anthropization is considered an intervention of man on the environment, both environmental and social, there is some kind of anthropization within the terraces of Umbanda, which already carries within its genesis an interdisciplinary character because it is the result of "syncretism" with other religious matrices. The work has as general objective to identify the relations of anthropization within two terraces of umbanda and their possible impacts on the socio-environmental environment, from an interdisciplinary perspective. We made contributions with Coelho (2001), Leff (2004), Bertrand (1971; 2007), Elissalde (2009), Bastide (1971), Durkheim (2006), Geert (2009), Campelo (2003), Amaral (2014), among others. The research revealed the following data: the relationship of anthropization within the terraces is based on orality, transmitting environmental Afro-religious values, in an interdisciplinary way based on the modus operandi of the daily routine of the Umbanda domain, in which each subject is responsible for its integration into the environment, both with regard to religiosity and the environment. The types of anthropization found in the terraces were environmental, religious, mystical and mythological. The impacts caused by the presence of the yard in the social environment of the city are characterized in the field of the provision of assistance, collective, community and solidarity services. Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Diagnóstico socioambiental e estratégias comunitárias de conservação e ecoturismo no Baixo Tocantins, Mocajuba-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-07-16) MELO, Fernando Bosco de Sousa; COSTA, Gabriel Brito; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0980355943575182; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5254-489X; CUNHA, Janice Muriel Fernandes Lima da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4027012189701116This study aimed to support socio-environmental management and conservation of socio biodiversity in the lower tocantins, municipality of mocajuba-pa. The socio-environmental diagnosis was carried out using a SWOT matrix recording the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with land use and tourism activities with aquatic mammals in the region. Some of the weaknesses and threats recorded include: i) the susceptibility of accidents involving dolphins and boats; ii) deforestation of riparian vegetation in the tocantins river; and; iii) the absence of a basic sanitation policy in the municipality of mocajuba-pa. We present recommendations for land use planning, reforestation with native trees between the city's neighborhoods, as well as planning of non-invasive dolphin-watching tourism activities. We recommend the creation of a conservation unit as a public policy for the conservation of local socio-biodiversity and its ecosystem services. We propose an evaluation of the application of community-based tourism for the benefit of the local population, articulated with the conservation of aquatic fauna and socio-environmental sustainability. This study contributes to strategies for achieving goals for SDG 14 and SDG 6 (UN, AGENDA-2030).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Formação da identidade cultural de crianças do ensino fundamental à luz das diretrizes curriculares de Ananindeua(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-15) MARTINS, Leide Daiane dos Anjos; ROCHA, Carlos José Trindade da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7815926450187234; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5172-9182; RAMOS, João Batista Santiago; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8078757512392983The research seeks to understand the formation of the cultural identity of elementary school children in light of the municipal curriculum guidelines of Ananindeua. A qualitative approach was used, involving documents and descriptive representations of children in the 4th and 5th years of morning and afternoon classes at an elementary school in the municipality. The results indicate that the municipality's curriculum document created macro areas, including Multiculturalism, now called Cultural Identity involving citizenship and civics. In practice, it is necessary to rethink educational approaches, considering the fundamental role they play in the identity and cultural formation of children, in order to better promote the appreciation of diversity as an integral part of this cultural identity process of children in the school environment, as it reflects on various concepts of Amazonian education and daily life in the globalized world. The Amazonian cultural plurality, present in everyday school life, must ratify cultural diversity as a fundamental trait in the construction of children's identities, defined and negotiated in the field of conflicts and the infinite possibilities of singularization in the municipal school environment of Ananindeua.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Memórias, etnoconhecimentro: diálogos com estudantes sujeitos da EJAI rural em Cipoal e Vila Modelo, São Francisco do Pará/Pa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-09-09) TABAYARA, Tiago José da Silva; NASCIMENTO, Eula Regina Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0460051621828656; SERUFFO, Marcos César da Rocha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3794198610723464; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8106-0560Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O potencial de Luehea divaricata como tratamento fitoterápico tradicional no combate a diabetes mellitus em uma comunidade amazônica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-12) SILVA, Gabrielle de Nazaré Falcão da; OLIVEIRA, Euzébio de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1807260041420782; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8059-5902; SILVA, Iracely Rodrigues da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5393264898435715This dissertation aims to investigate the use of Luehea divaricata, a medicinal plant with notable phytotherapeutic potential, in the treatment of Diabetes mellitus in the Quilombola Agrovillage of Macapazinho, located in the municipality of Castanhal, in the northeastern region of the state of Pará. The research was conducted through a descriptive qualitative methodological approach, employing techniques such as Respondent Driven Sampling (RDS), interviews, and a scientific review of the active properties of the aforementioned species. The results indicated the anti-diabetic potential of the plant due to the presence of active principles that act in reducing glycemia, offering promising prospects for future scientific investigations in combating diabetes. The validation of its use as a phytotherapeutic medicine will require a systematic application of precision and accuracy tests, in accordance with the guidelines established by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Situação de vulnerabilidade socioeconômica e ambiental como fator de incidência das doenças tropicais negligenciadas no município de São Domingos do Capim-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-08) SILVA, Leidiane Araújo; OLIVEIRA, Euzébio de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1807260041420782; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8059-5902In Pará, new acute cases of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) have been increasingly reported, which is why epidemiological surveillance services are increasingly on alert. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the incidence of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) in the municipality of São Domingos do Capim – Pará, with emphasis on Chagas Disease and American Tegumentary Leishmaniasis and Visceral Leishmaniasis. To this end, a documentary, descriptive and exploratory study was carried out based on the collection of data on cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis and Chagas Disease between the period 2015 and 2022. The epidemiological data were obtained from the database of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), originating from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN). As for cases of Leishmaniasis, 23,763 cases of ATL were reported in the state of Pará and 2,727 cases of VL. The epidemiological profile of ATL cases was predominant in males (n= 12; 75%), aged between 35 and 49 years, who only had incomplete primary education, who declared themselves to be of mixed race and in people whose occupation was multipurpose agricultural producer, while in LV this profile was predominantly male, age group < 10 years, education level without information, mixed race and who studies as an occupation. We evidenced a higher number of CD cases in 2017, both in the state of Pará and in the municipality of São Domingos do Capim. The total number of cases referred to the Sagrada Família and Rua Marcílio Dias communities as being most responsible for CD notifications in the municipality studied. Furthermore, we observed a greater predisposition of cases in males, ages 20 to 34, mixed race and students. Regarding spatial analysis, a heterogeneous distribution is observed, with a greater concentration of cases mainly in the center-north of the municipality. Therefore, the high occurrence of neglected diseases in regions of high socio-environmental vulnerability reinforces the importance of public investments to carry out viable and effective projects that offer constant basic sanitation services, drinking water and health education for this population.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Vozes dos estaleiros: percepção dos carpinteiros navais artesanais de embarcações sobre saúde ocupacional, riscos e prevenção de acidentes em estaleiros da Amazônia costeira (Bragança/PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-01-04) NEGRÃO, Ângelo Solano; BARBOZA, Roberta Sá Leitão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9331256487699477; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2367-553X; BARBOZA, Myrian Sá Leitão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4827055067722362; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6712-7386Introduction: Handcrafted shipbuilding plays a vital role in the production of traditional wooden boats for navigation on the Amazon rivers. However, many ship carpenters face unhealthy conditions and health risks, such as exposure to toxic substances and the impacts of climate change. These challenges can lead to long-term health problems, exacerbated by the lack of adequate protective equipment, affecting not only their ability to work but also their daily activities. Objective: To examine the perception of artisanal boatbuilders, located in the city of Bragança/PA, regarding health, perceived risks in shipyards, and self-protection strategies to prevent accidents. Methods: A qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional approach was used. Interviews were conducted with six artisanal ship carpenters, aged between 44 and 67, from different shipyards in Bragança. Participants were selected from previously identified shipyards and recommendations from other professionals, keeping their identities protected through pseudonyms. The interviews, adapted from a previous project, took place in the shipyards during working hours. Data analysis followed Bardin's content analysis methodology, with the organization and coding of responses using NVivo software to identify main themes and subthemes. The study was conducted with proper ethical approval, ensuring the privacy, confidentiality, and consent of participants, respecting all ethical guidelines for research involving humans. Results: Carpenters discussed work-related risks, such as physical accidents when handling heavy materials and the use of toxic chemicals in boat construction. Aware of these risks, they adopted preventive measures, such as using appropriate safety equipment. In terms of self-care, they highlighted the importance of clear communication during high-risk operations, shared responsibility for taking care of less experienced colleagues, and additional precautions due to the remote location of the shipyards. They mentioned a shift to more traditional tools after previous incidents and emphasized collaboration and teamwork to reduce risks in handling heavy materials. Conclusion: Their awareness of work hazards underscores the need for preventive measures and a safety culture, demonstrating a proactive approach to accident prevention. Although the research has limitations, such as geographical restrictions in worker participation, it is the first in the region to address the health of these professionals. Specific occupational health interventions, training to reduce risks, and exploring the relationship between organizational culture and mental health are recommended. Future studies and collaborative strategies are proposed to enhance the health and safety of these workers.
