Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Belém metropolitana: representações midiáticas sobre o modo de vida urbano de Belém nas webséries a Solteirona e Sampleados(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-06-02) SOUZA, Victor Lopes de; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703This work deals with media representations about the city of Belém presented in the productions "A Solteirona" (2013) and "Sampleados" (2015). We assume that hegemonic media represent elements that invisibilize populations and urban nuclei as much as they value the demographic void and biodiversity of the Amazon region. In this way, we argue that webseries present a differentiated approach by making urban environments the protagonists of their narratives. Thus, we establish as a research problem "how do belenian webs elaborate elements of representations about the urban way of life in Belém?" Our general objective is to identify the media representations about the urban way of life of Belém in webseries from Belém/PA. The specific objectives are: to identify the Central Core of the Representations in the fictional media context on Belém, through analysis of comments in the websodes posts; to identify the peripheral system of representations in the fictional media context about the city of Belém, based on the analysis of comments in the posts of the websodes; to identify the themes through which the webseries represent the urban context of the city of Belém. In this study, we used two methodological approaches. The first one is to observe the media representations. For this, we anchor ourselves in S. C. Cole's proposition of analysis from the pragmatic and cognitive dimensions of the representations. The second approach has the objective of identifying the central core of the representations researched from the comments published in the websodes’ posts. We use J. C. Abric's methodological procedures, based on the writings of C. P. Sá. As results, we observed that both webseries present different approaches on Belém. We also identified that comments feature music as the main element of the central core of representations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Coletivo Terra Firme: comunicação e cidadania na periferia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-16) LIRA, Adriana do Socorro Campos de; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248This research departs from the themes and concepts of communication, citizenship and periphery, understood as fundamental for a better understanding Coletivo Tela Firme‟s communicative pratices, which is our studied object. The group works in the urban periphery, specifically in Terra Firme neighborhood, in Belém, Pará state. Their work consists of audiovisual production that circulates on the internet as well as citizenship actions directly in the outskirts of the city. Such work is based on the logic of popular, alternative, community communication, since it is carried out in and for the peripheral neighborhoods and communities from Belém, aiming at social awareness and social change. The group‟s work has become a reference in the city‟s political and educational fields. Thus, this research goal is to inquiry the configuration of Coletivo Tela Firme‟s communicative practices in the outskirts of the capital of Pará. The hypothesis raised in the investigation is that the group‟s activism in the communities where it operates in is intended to stimulate and promote political and social engagement among those who live there, mainly to contribute to their citizenship rights enhancement. Hence, it is proposed in this study a process of mapping and analyzing their videos and the actions they have done in Belém peripheral neighborhoods, either on their own or in partnership with other movements and organizations engaged with political and social struggles. The theoretical standpoints that support our research are based on Peruzzo (2009), Gohn (2010), Gonczevski and Martin (2011), Pinsky and Pinsky (2013), Mouffe (2013). Coletivo Tela Firme‟s work began in social media which, according to Castells (2005), Lemos (2006) and Primo (2013), are platforms that favor political and social participation processes, as much as they contribute to the articulation with other resistance movements. To carry out this study, the master's thesis approach is based on bibliographical and qualitative-descriptive research, mainly informed by content analysis, as well as interviewing, to reach its objectives, among which identifying citizenship alternatives in and for the urban periphery through Coletivo Tela Firme‟s communicative practices.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Experiência comunicativa na Amazônia paraense: as relações de socialidades no Espaço São José Liberto(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-27) FIGUEIREDO, Marília Jardim de; COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2403055637349630This research aims to analyze the communicative experiences of people with the São José Liberto Space, located in the city of Belém, as a tourist, cultural and creative economy space in the Paraense Amazon. We understand that this space is reconfigured by the government of the State of Pará with the purpose of constructing a 'new identity' to the old building and endowing it with a cultural representation as an Amazonian space. In this sense, we observe a clash in this recognition between management, producers and visitors, who perceive the place in a different way. In the theoretical dialogue we reflect the sociability and duality of social life from Simmel, who understands that individuals want to belong to a group while at the same time seeking to stand out individually. In the same way, his sociology comes in the interaction, in the intersubjectivity, of the subject and object relation. As methodological procedures we worked with the qualitative research, with the method of semi-structured interviews with 19 people, among visitors, producers and designer, as well as participant observation research, with ethnographic inspiration, in the routine of the space. We note that São José Liberto Space is built between two perceptions: that of remembrance, with visitors reminiscing of space as a prison, in the past, even the direction of the ESJL tries to erase this memory, and on the other hand, the producers strengthening the image of an Amazonian area, with productions of materials that value the local raw material. At the same time that it is recognized as a tourist spot in Belém, it is still not identified as a place in the AmazonItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fotojornalismo em cenários de convergência: reconfigurações, inovação, cultura participativa e práticas profissionais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-22) SIQUEIRA, Thaís Christina Coelho; CUNHA, Elaide Martins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3778190981135428This research aims to investigate the reconfigurations through the photojournalism in the context of culture of convergence (SILVA JUNIOR, 2012), characterized by technological, market, social and cultural transformations (JENKINS, 2009). Such changes alter the ways of producing and consuming content, leading many communication companies to invest in innovation and to rethink their practices. In this scenario is photography, which since the beginning of the 20th century accompanies the written text in the constitution of news from newspapers, gain more information autonomy, becoming, in many cases, protagonist of the information. We start from the assumption that in this scenario the photojournalism comes to occupy a central place in the construction of the news. In view of this, this study focuses on three central questions: what changes can be observed in the current photojournalism in terms of innovation in languages and formats? How is the participation of users in photographic production for news portals? And how do these transformations affect the professional practices of photojournalists? For a better understanding of these processes are discussed convergence culture concepts and, more specifically, convergence journalism (SALAVERRÍA; NEGREDO, 2008; SALAVERRÍA, 2010; SALAVERRÍA, AVILÉS E MASIP, 2010); the particulars of cyber media (HERSCOVITZ, 2009; ZAMORA, 2011); reproducibility and multiplication of technical images (BENJAMIN, 2012; 2014); the types of images present in the press (BAEZA, 2001); the characteristics of photojournalism on the web, mainly in its convergent stage (SILVA JUNIOR, 2012); the photojournalistic genres (SOJO, 1997); the formats of photography used by journalism in contemporary times (PEREIRA, 2016); innovation in journalism (FUCK; VILHA, 2011; BARBOSA, 2011; MACHADO, 2010; FONTOURA, 2015; MARTINS, 2017); and participatory culture (JENKINS, 2009; JENKINS; GREEN; FORD, 2014). Besides that, we will also discuss the concepts of narrativity (MOTTA, 2013); of photographic narrative in the culture of convergence (SALLET, 2015; HENN; SALLET, 2012); and the implications of the culture of convergence on the professional practices of photojournalists (SILVA JUNIOR, 2011; 2012; SOUSA, 2013; SALLET, 2014; FERREIRA, 2014; RAMOS E MAROCCO, 2017). We start from direct observation and content analysis to examine the photojournalistic content in the websites Diário Online (DOL), UOL and Clarín, based on the photographic categories prepared byPereira (2016). The methodology also includes semi-open interviews with photojournalists and news websites editors and with a photojournalist and researcher, seeking to discuss the professional experiences and the visions of these subjects about the photojournalistic production in the convergent context. The results of this study point out that the news portals have sought to embrace innovation in photojournalism, investing in multimedia resources that make possible to explore the informative potential of photography, such as galleries, slideshows and 360º images. We also observed a reconfiguration in the narrative forms of photojournalism, with emphasis to the photographic production in sequence, a growing participation of the public in the production of images that compose as analyzed news and increase the space for this participation, with a view to the users' engagement. Finally, we identify that, in general, professionals point these transformations even as a natural process in the development of photojournalism and believe that, with strategies, training and a greater appreciation of their work by companies, professionals tend to expand their repertory.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gênero e o impeachment de Dilma Roussef: uma análise de páginas de facebook feministas e de mulheres ativistas na Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-14) CASTRO, Luciana Gouvêa Hage de; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248The political process of the impeachment of then-President Dilma Rousseff, the first woman elected to the highest executive position in Brazil, is the contextual framework of the research presented here, which will analyze communications from four Facebook communities run by women from Imperatriz Feminists of Imperatriz - Women and Affinity Forum - Feminist Articulation of Imperatriz), Manaus (Feminism in Manaus) and Rio Branco (Feminist Chat Acre). The temporal analysis was delimited from the three main phases of the process of impeachment, they are: the acceptance of the denunciation by the then president of the Chamber of Deputies Eduardo Cunha; the vote on this case in that Chamber; and the final verdict given by the Senators. As a problem question is presented: How was Dilma Rousseff's impeachment in communicative constructions approached in the feminist / women activist profiles of Amazonian women? The hypothesis is based on the assumption that profile communications, although they have a political activism in the cause of women, did not discuss the gender issue in Dilma Rousseff's removal, there was in fact a silencing with regard to this issue. theme. As a methodology, we start with qualitative research, based on content analysis in the light of Laurence Bardan (2002). These scientific elements will provide the necessary basis for a better understanding of the problem issue and the proposed objectives, based on the discussions about the women's political movement, the feminist movement, citizenship, cyberfeminism and political activism. Thus, the authors who founded the investigation were: Simone de Beauvoir (1949); Judith Buther (2003); Maria Luzia Álvares (1995, 1997; Manuel Castells (2015); Flávia Biroli (2014), among others. This research intends to be a collaboration for a better understanding of the political participation of the Amazon woman in the scenario lived in the impeachment of the president Dilma Rousseff; and in general, the causes of women, who daily struggle for a more egalitarian space in society, especially in the Amazon.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Lentes intersubjetivas: estudo etnográfico do movimento fotográfico de Belém/Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-28) ARRAES, Raoni Lourenço; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5700042332015787This study aims to analyze the intersubjective processes that involve the photographers of the photographic movement of the city of Belém do Pará. The proposal is to understand how social trajectories, from life histories, construct a photographic movement, that is constituted from a circuit, defined by Magnani (2005) as a relation between subjects and spaces, from communicative sociocultural processes, which function as mediators of a collective experience. From an ethnography that involves an autoethnography from near and within, with participant observation and semi-structured interviews, using the questioning why photograph? I can understand the relationships between intersubjectivity and sociabilities involved in the photographic act. The study also discusses a proposal of an Ethnography of Communication, based on intersubjective relations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Like a pro: dinâmicas sociais no e-sport(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-04-04) MACEDO, Tarcízio Pereira; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703Starting from an understanding of the social coming from the simmelian work, this research seeks to understand the social dynamics of a team of semiprofessional players of the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) League of Legends (League or LoL) in the local competitive community of Belém, in the Pará. Through a micro-sociological approach, the objective is to understand the process of formation and maintenance of the social fabric among players who engage in the organized competitive digital game, also known as electronic sport (e-sport) or pro gaming. This study specifically focuses on understanding how group dynamics between players and teams is manifested in this particular competitive context, of how the social fabric is created and developed at the core of that group by trying to understand how it constitutes a variety of nuances in social dynamics, inserting more specifically in communication, camaraderie and team organization. In order to do so, based on an ethnographic study carried out with a team from the city, a theoretical framework based on a multidisciplinary theoretical matrix is developed, engendering elements of the fields of Communication Studies, Game Studies, sports and social sciences, articulating these through an anthropological and sociological sensibility. In general terms, it is concluded that the path to competitive career progression for professionals is strongly dependent on an active process of socialization between players and teams in a professional identification resulting from a whole series of actors and forces. In addition, the research demonstrates that although a functional bias is responsible for stimulating the formation of the social fabric in most teams of the local scenario, there is a particular social experience of growing relevance, an ethos of camaraderie created both among players in a team, as well as between teams, that operates as a powerful vector either for the maintenance of the social fabric or for an instrumental/functional end - of the competitive progression - facing the challenges towards professionalization. The period of coexistence, observation and contact with the interlocutors dates from June 2016 to February 2018.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ódio líquido: o confronto entre o bem e o mal da mídia paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-21) PINHO, Ana Caroliny do Nascimento; COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2403055637349630The present research proposes to analyze the construction of net hatred in contemporary society and the way it is reproduced in the Paraense media, considering the deconstruction of human rights and the accentuation of insensitivity to the other. For this, we take as a starting point the thought of Zygmunt Bauman. Part of the show of this research is the police notebook of the Diário do Pará newspaper, the Front Line, broadcast on Radio Clube Pará AM and the Metendo Bronca program, which is shown by TBA RBA. All of these media belong to the politician Parader Jader Barbalho, soon they are vehicles of communication with political-partisan connections. To compose the show, we selected issues published / exhibited between October 2016 and December 2017. The development of this research began with the characterization of the liquid society and the relationship with the other. Next, we show how the historical construction of hatred in humanity is given, and then show it from its banality and the characteristics of liquid hatred. The media is configured as relevant in the representation of reality, since it circulates information and produces new forms of social interaction, as well as gives us a sample of social behaviors that need to be debated. As a methodological contribution, we used the Content Analysis, the Pragmatic Analysis of Narrative, as well as the criteria for analysis of human rights violations proposed in the media monitoring reports of ANDI - Comunicação e Direitos. The objective of this work is to show how news can build a society based on fear, insensitivity to the other and the banalization of evil from the dissemination, implicit or explicit, of net hatred in journalistic narratives.
