Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aplicabilidade altimétrica no mapeamento fitogeográfico e uso da terra: contribuições ao planejamento territorial e à restauração ambiental(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-03-13) SANTOS, Eduardo da Silva; BARBOSA, Wagner Luiz Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1372405563294070; SILVA, Christian Nunes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4284396736118279This study aims to improve the mapping method for the vegetation cover, elaborated in the 1: 250,000 scale, using the theoretical reference of Classificação da Vegetação Brasileira Adaptada a um Sistema Universal by Veloso, Rangel-Filho and Lima (1991) ). The mapping of the vegetation units was carried out in corresponding to the forest formations and sub-formations of the IBGE vegetation. In this sense, the proposal of this research will enable, through a geotechnology tool, to rectify such designs. Starting from the official mapping (IBGE), later, it was superimposed on the hypsometric map generated in this work. As a result of this process, a new mapping of the vegetation cover properly adjusted to the classification used was obtained. In the assessment of the proposed mapping, a field validation was performed, having as its main axis the positional accuracy of the outlines of forest formations and sub- formations in the area under study. The research was carried out in the Municipality of Paragominas, State of Pará, with a total area of 19,342,254 km2. The results showed a strong need for inclusion of this device in the methodological process, since deep changes in the spatialization of these designs (forest formations and sub - formations) were performed and rectified, both in the qualitative and/or quantitative aspects, which are observed in the comparative map between the official data and the proposed data: Official Map Db 43%, in the Proposed Map, it changed to 52.95%; In the Official Map Ds 54.98%, in the Proposed Map, it was 45.68%. The analysis of the environmental liability was carried out in the SICAR database available in November/2018, corresponding to 93.4% of registered properties, presenting the following 85.15% of the Legal Reserves have anthropogenic levels in the range of <40; that is, low anthropization; 8.95% of the RL (s) are in the range of> 60, that is, high anthropization; and 5.9% of the RL (s), are in the range of 40-60, that is, average anthropization. In this way, the final product meets a more effective instrument and, in a way, can be best used in territorial planning actions.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cartografia da dinâmica urbana de uso e ocupação do solo no município de Breu Branco-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-25) SILVA, Wagner Luiz Gonçalves da; ROCHA, Gilberto de Miranda; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2436176783315749Breu Branco is a municipality in the state of Pará located in the Tucuruí microregion. The municipality became independent in 1991. However, its spatial organization occurred much earlier to meet the demand for housing of the compulsorily displaced due to the increase in the Tocantins river floodplain. The municipality experienced rapid population growth. The initial spatial configuration of the city occurred in the southern portion, between the PA-263 highway and the Tocantins river. Subsequently, with urban saturation, the growth of the county seat reached the other side of the PA-263 highway which is currently the northern side of the county. This expansion process has generated urban occupations that are currently neighborhoods such as Santa Catarina, Conquista and Liberdade. Recently, new urban centers have been emerging. Breu Branco's urban growth is horizontal and spreads along two axes of expansion. The municipal master plan is the document that should contain strategies of environmental zoning and zones of social interest that subsidize the public power in regulating urban growth and environmental protection. The population factor, associated with land price, urban topography and the lack of environmental policies are factors that accelerated the growth of the city. In this work, we use cartographic and remote sensing techniques for the construction of maps between (1996-2006) and (2006-2016), seeking to understand the urban transformations of Breu Branco.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Dinâmicas territoriais de comunidades rurais extrativistas amazônicas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) PÓLEN, Ricardo Reis; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273This work makes a analysis of two extractive rural communities in Abaetetuba , in the Baixo Tocantins region from their production strategies, which have the economic base mainly on the extraction of açaí , where the Campompema community has links with cooperative and the Capim community that have his production marked by individualistic strategies for production and marketing. For such done we work to characterize the typical peasant from Amazon, the riverine, and their strategies for production and social reproduction and their territoriality. Mainly due the açai in recent decades have become a product of high commercial value in domestic and foreign markets. The objective of this analysis was to demonstrate that strategies of collective action, especially cooperatives, is an element that can be worked in order to ensure better living conditions for the riverines and regional markets for its mainly açai products, without losing the ties with the land and strengthening their territoriality.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Economia global e vivência local na Amazônia: mineração e campesinato em São Pedro, município de Juruti - PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) CASTRO, Isabela Andrade de; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273In this thesis we present a survey of the interference suffered by the community São Pedro in Juruti, west of Pará state, since the beginning of the installation of the mining activity in the town. At the beginning of the 21st. century installing Juruti project by ALCOA, triggered a series of local and regional transformations that linked the rise to global mining economy. Our analysis focuses on rural areas, especially the processes experienced by the community São Pedro, who received from the licensing of mining projects for rural development, for example Pajiroba the project, the project of raising chickens and FUNBIO funded the extraction 's project EMATER. Featuring the form of implementation of these projects are designed to analyze how development policies for rural areas in Brazil, which has always meant the peasantry as a synonym for delay, a living space to be developed through investments in agricultural projects. This strategy which, according to our research, ignores the specificity of the peasantry in the Amazon, thus tending to limitations that go beyond agriculture, because confronting a complex way of life that has diversified to continue to exist.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Habitus, governanças institucionais e trajetórias tecnológicas: uma análise sociológica do espaço, o caso da expansão do óleo de palma (dendê) no Vale do Acará, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-07-04) MONTEIRO, Marcílio de Abreu; COSTA, Francisco de Assis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1820238947667908The altered space is understood by social practices and lived experiences, conformed in habitus, technique and institutions. The organization of space results from a continuous and repeated combination of actions and objects, according to representations, material and symbolic, that interact within social relations, as subjective bonds that are objectified in the connection between a geographic cut and the social conformations. The dynamics of technological trajectories, as a more visible element of these changes, is the analytical tool to indicate the movements arising from the action and reaction of the structuring structure before a structured structure. Based on the construction of these theoretical-methodological elements, it is sought to understand the phenomenon of the advance of palm oil in the Amazon by reference to the changes resulting from this social fact, through its spatial objectification. Having as a case study the alterations that occurred in the Vale do Acará, Pará, as space-place, an objectified social and geographic space.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) As influências socioeconômicas e ambientais da cadeia produtiva do dendê no desenvolvimento local do baixo Tocantins(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-04-08) FERREIRA, Vanilda Araújo; SANTANA, Antônio Cordeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2532279040491194This paper investigates the social, economic and environmental influences of the "palm oil agrobusiness" in the dynamics of the local development of “Baixo Tocantins”. According to the strategic nature of the research, the method used was the quali-quantitative type, from the perception of integrated local agents of the chain production. We conducted interviews and collected secondary data in order to identify, analyze and interpret the factors of socioeconomic and environmental impacts and externalities which are configuring people’s quality of life. The results showed that the introduction of the chain production of palm oil in “Baixo Tocantins”, with monoculture features, is producing a wave of negative socioeconomic and environmental effects in the form of vertical integration of production. The family rural worker has become a kind of “employee outsourced “of the company, through a contractual relationship in which the absence of participatory decision-making mechanisms shows that the power structure and the forces that determine the governance of the chain production of palm oil are controlled in a unilateral way by Agropalma. This process is supported by the weakness of the social organization of these workers in the surveyed communities, reflecting the low level of awareness among farmers about the importance of social organization as a tool for empowering these social subjects. This environment neither allows local communities to accumulate enough capital, nor enjoys good quality of life, with a guarantee of substantive freedoms and appropriate environmental conditions that can induce endogenously, a dynamic path of local development. It is expected through this search a contribution to deepen the discussion about the implementation of public policies in rural areas, particularly those related to the expansion of palm oil culture as one of the possibilities to recover deforested areas and promote regional development, based on integration between agribusiness and small family rural worker in Para state.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Modo de vida ribeirinho e conhecimento tradicional: uma análise das ações do PAE Nossa Senhora do Livramento na ilha Tabatinga para fins de desenvolvimento local Abaetetuba-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-08-27) SALGADO, Mayany Soares; LOPES, Luís Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173; MORAES, Sérgio Cardoso de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4568311568729454The research aimed to investigate the influence of the shares effected through Agroextractivist Settlement in the local development of the island Tabatinga, in the municipality of Abaetetuba-PA. For analysis of these indicators actions that enabled check the level of local development in the community from the implementation of this type of design were used. It was emphasized as part of this analysis the traditional knowledge on the island Tabatinga linked to artisanal fishing. Finally the analysis of the results where we found that the actions by implementing the actions of the PAE have partially influenced the local development of the island Tabatinga were made. From the final analysis we present some suggestions aiming to contribute to the social organization of residents suggesting the creation of a cooperative of fishermen.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Reprodução camponesa em área de assentamento na Amazônia: um estudo no Assentamento João Batista II, Castanhal - Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) GUILHERME JÚNIOR, José Antônio; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273Our research focuses on the peasant reproduction in a rural area in the Amazon. The João Batista II settlement, localized in the city of Fortaleza Pará state, was elected as a case study, being the oldest settlement organized by the Movement of Landless Rural Workers in the middle region of the northeastern Pará. The general objective of this research is to analyze the peasant reproduction in the Amazon, understanding that this process happens in the construction of the territory. To better structure our research it were chosen the variables: production activities and social organization, understanding them as part of actions that make up the peasent reproduction. Aspects such as: debt, natural poor soil, commercialization difficulties and political disputes within the settlement, have been constituted as factors that limits the sociospatial peasent reproduction in settlement João Batista II.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Territorialização e organização espacial do Grupo AGROPALMA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-09-27) CRUZ, Benedito Ely Valente da; ROCHA, Gilberto de Miranda; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2436176783315749Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uso do território e gênero de vida na Amazônia: reprodução camponesa e agronegócio no planalto santareno(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012) PAIXÃO JÚNIOR, Paulo Roberto Carneiro da; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273We approach in this work the changes in the reproduction of peasantry of Planalto Santareno due to the advancement of soybean agribusiness in this region. We use as examples two localities peasant who have been deeply affected by this event started in the late twentieth century: the localities Tracuá (belonging to the municipality of Santarém/PA) and Jenipapo (belonging to the municipality of Belterra/PA). To achieve this purpose, we did the reconstitution of the geographical situation when these locations had not yet met with agribusiness. When soybean growers from the center-south of the country arrived, seduced by abundant and cheap land anthropized in the region, began to acquire land in these localities with quite ease and speed, therefore belonged to the peasants who were in precarious conditions of existence, desirous of better days, which perhaps could achieve with that (little) money offered. From that meeting, thus, we learned the mutations in the genre of life of the peasants, coming across on the other hand, with the clash of these opposing social. With the deep transformations in land use in these locations, is the tendency to put their disappearances - and at the same time, on another scale, the recreation of regional peasantry.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uso do território, experiências inovadoras e sustentabilidade: um estudo em unidades de produção familiares de agricultores/as na área de abrangência do Programa PROAMBIENTE, Nordeste Paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-04-12) OLIVEIRA, José Sebastião Romano de; KATO, Osvaldo Ryohei; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4241891652832872This study it evaluated the sustainability of the innovative experiences using indicator and criteria based on scientific theory the perception of peasants in the Irituia, São Domingos do Capim, Concordia do Pará and Mãe do Rio counties in an area encompassing the Polo Rio Capim, the PROAMBIENTE program. The objective was understand the daily of those social actors on the land using less stressful technologies on the environment and the reasons that led them to extend the traditional home garden or yards for other parcels of the Units of Familiar Production (FPU), turning them into Agroforest Systems (AFs). Questionnaire was applied and empirical data were collected, as well as interaction took place with the people involved in 78 FPUs allowing of variability indntification for Factor Analysis, establishing four factors of production and commercialization; production practices; intervention and gender questions. The first factors was used as criterium and requiring the return of the surveyor to 18 FPUs to apply the questionnaire and evaluation forms on the social, economic, cultural and environmental-ecological indicators. The sustainability evaluation was done by means of grouping these indicators using the Ameba agroecological method and by mapping using the interpolation method next door neighbor in the study area. Cultural and ecological/environmental indicators led to better conditions in terms of sustainability, in the range of good to excellent while the social economic indicators led to results appraised as weak to fair.
