Assumes that to understand the presence of African descent in the local segment is essential to seek indicative of representations of this segment and how such representations are appropriate visibility to establish the identity of African descent. The methodology adopted in this study involved research collections of museum institutions of Belém, on the occurrence of paintings of artists of the Pará with production aimed at black representation, especially the artists Antoinette Feio, Waldemar da Costa and Dahlia Dea. This fieldwork was essential to establish the selection of which tables and authors subsidize enter the theme of Afro-Brazilian representation in painting site. The relevance of this research to the field of Art / Afro-Brazilian Culture and the provisions of law 10.639/2003 is the ability to reflect on the presence of blacks in the local society, as it considers the extent of cultural and socio-historical phenomenon can to dismantle eurocentric conceptions of epistemological frameworks and visual representation. In this perspective, black participation and their proper contextualization will build new discourses about the visibility of African descent in the History of Art and Culture Pará.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) A luz, o tema e a técnica: a relação impressionista nas pinturas de paisagens de Pinto Guimarães(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-12-17) FROTA, Antonio Juvenil da; SANTOS FILHO, Alexandre Silva dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7245793164008684Ways and epistemological strategies in Art in the Amazons is the research line that is linked to this thesis, whose object of study are the landscapes paintings of Pinto Guimarães, made up during the second half of the twentieth century. It aims to observe the paintings of the local artist Pinto Guimarães, both in its procedural aspects of execution, as in the thematic choice of scenarios and landscaped grounds, as well as the pictorial technique visual, relating its stylistic features to those of nineteenth century French Impressionist paintings. The methodology is theoretical by documentary contribution and biographical, with which paintings produced by the artist in 1963 to 1996 are observed from original works and by reading photographs of important works belonging to private and public collections. This study brings together authors of art history dealing with the fundamentals of French impressionist school, among which stand out Argan (1992), Balzi (2009), Cavalcanti, C. (1981), Gompertz (2013), Lobstein (2010) Mason (2009), Newall (2011), Serullaz (1989) and Hauser (1998). It brings to light the visual legacy that landscape paintings brought to contemporary pictorial art in Belém, according to the stylistic influences to which they were subjected during the period in which they were held. Finally, this research points to the neutral marks of existence of Impressionism in the artist's work and characteristics linked to modernity, but also reveals the true motivations that led the author to the development of his landscape paintings.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Naif urbano: percepção visual no trânsito de Bragança, Castanhal e Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-12-20) ROSÁRIO, Daniely Meireles do; COSTA, Luizan Pinheiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5390750292706184This research is focused on a aesthetic-poetic-visual construction of the contemporary city from the perception of urban naïve – handmade painting – present in the transit of three cities: Bragança, Castanhal and Belém. Just do is presented as a manifestation of a popular aesthetic, characterized handmade by their appearance. Capturing and understanding of these events happened through photographic records, used as tools for collecting a visual construction of the city from the objects that comprise naïve and supported by a phenomenological method of awareness in which the body is an agent in the world and the eye is the main instrument in the construction of memory.
