Questioning this process is one of the main objectives of this text as it brings picture of the events of the Amazon region of Pará in the field of extermination of indigenous leaders, environmentalists and human trafficking and slave labor work, in addition, sexual exploitation and intense removal of timber and minerals, leaving poverty, environmental destruction and the costs of these problems for the population.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Práticas de esporte, lazer e cultura do UNICEF(Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2017-04) LEMOS, Flávia Cristina Silveira; GALINDO, Dolores Cristina Gomes; REIS JÚNIOR, Leandro Passarinho; NOGUEIRA, Thais de Souza; ARRUDA, André Benassuly; BRITO NETO, José Araújo deThe present article aimes to discuss the practices of the United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF), in particular those targeted at poor children and adolescents through sports activities, leisure and culture as a way of forging safety, health and prevent this avency situations of violence attributed to this social group alleged situations of risks, vulnerabilities, needs and deprivation derived from this childhood and adolescence belonging to poor families, illiterate and living in communities on the outskirts of towns. The way of life of this population segment are disqualified and UNICEF presents itself as an agency transformins these conditions. Projects of this multilateral organization oscillate between the dressage discipline producer of docility and usefulness to the government to create freedom of life safely through compensatory policies, as recommended recipes and offered as favors, dropping the field to the detriment of the rights of political economy neoliberal.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) UNESCO, mulheres e biopoder no Brasil: alguns apontamentos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12) LEMOS, Flávia Cristina Silveira; GALINDO, Dolores Cristina Gomes; CASTELAR, Marilda; REIS JÚNIOR, Leandro Passarinho; PIANI, Pedro Paulo Freire; NOGUEIRA, ThaisThis article interrogates the practices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) towards brazilian women. Elaborates the Foucault´s analytics of racists and utilitarian discourses that promote discipline and securitarian regulations through education and culture. The concern with the violated rights in developing countries named by UNESCO and its designated partners, constitutes an important bulkhead to violence. However, guidelines and practices recommended by this multilateral Organization although potencially capable of producing specific improvements in the lives of some women, update neoliberal biopolitics justified by humanitarian and universalizing principles. Women are on UNESCO’s agenda from the perspective of threatened security and security, translated into public policies aimed at them and their children.
