Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Agência de notícias jovens comunicadores da Amazônia: práticas de comunicação alternativa em defesa da juventude negra de Belém do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-22) SILVA, Lanna Paula Ramos da; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248This research has as theme the communication produced by Agência de Notícias Jovens Comunicadores da Amazônia (Agência JCA), a space of mobilization in defense of black youth in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, Pará, through alternative communication. The question-problem that guides this study is: How are the alternative communicative practices of Agência de Notícias Jovens Comunicadores da Amazônia in defense of black youth from Belém? The general objective of this research is to understand how the alternative communication dynamics of Agência JCA are constituted, in the exercise of alternative communication. The specific objectives are to a) identify how the Agência de Notícias Jovens Comunicadores da Amazônia is set up, with the communicative and educommunicative evidence present as a central feature; b) understand how the extermination of black youth from the periphery presents itself as a problem before the Agência JCA; c) investigate and analyze the communication strategies carried out by Agência JCA and their contribution in defense of young blacks living in peripheral areas of the Metropolitan Region of Belém. The methodology used is based on bibliographic research; conducting individual semi-structured interviews with young people who participated / participate in the media and project coordinators. In addition, participant observation was also carried out in activities promoted by the Agência JCA. The theoretical foundation of this study included discussions about alternative communication (Peruzzo, 2008; 2009; among others; AMORIM et al, 2015), educommunication (Soares, 2011; 2002), youth (PAIS, 1990; DAYRELL, 2003) and extermination black youth (NASCIMENTO, 1978; MUNANGA, 2003; ALMEIDA, 2018; GOMES E LABORNE, 2018). We believe that Agência JCA develops through it is critical reflective alternative content about the youths and peripheries of Belém and its actividies, ways of mobilizing, raising awareness and fighting against the extermination of black youths in Belém and also the expansion of citizenship rights, thus constituting itself as an important articulation in defense of the black youths of Belém do Pará.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uma análise da experiência do fazer jornalístico e sua reconfiguração diante das mudanças tecnológicas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-23) NASCIMENTO, Valéria dos Santos; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5700042332015787This research seeks to understand the journalistic work, from the perspective of those who deal with the professional activity affected by the accelerated process of communication technology. Our reflection takes place through a hermeneutic approach to the phenomenon of media communication, which involves journalistic activity, interpreted under the thought of the philosopher Martin Heidegger, in his existential analysis of Dasein, the Being-there that is inevitably a Mitsein, the Being-with -others and the matter of technique. We also added authors such as Muniz Sodré (2015), Fábio Castro (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017), José Salomão D. Amorim (2012), among others. The central objective is to reflect on contemporary journalistic practice, based on the journalists' understanding of practices, in order to understand how they make possible both the social legacy of the profession - the right to information - and the service to the new consumption habits of news due to the spread of the use of digital technologies. As a methodology for the proposed discussion, we used participant observation and interviews with professionals who work for the printed newspaper O Liberal and the portal OLiberal.com, in Belém, between 2019 and 2020. The information and data collected are exposed based on the professionals' findings and how they develop paths for action, confronting empirical and theory. In advance, it is possible to argue that there are journalisms in progress, yes, in the plural, since the profession, depending on the resources invested by companies and editorial guidelines, has different practices nowadays. In the case of this research, the observed practice reconfigures the routine established until then, impacting, to a large extent, on the journalist's own ability to maintain classic precepts of the profession, in the face of the pressures of unbridled market competition.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Anti-homofobia no futebol paraense: engajamento social nas torcidas de Remo e Paysandu(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-25) SOUSA, Milene Costa de; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703This dissertation addresses the configuration of social engagement against homophobia by the fans of Remo and Paysandu and both clubs from Pará on the internet. As an empirical object, the positions of the barras bravas organised supporters' groups of football Camisa 33 and Banda Alma Celeste were selected; and the Remo and Paysandu clubs, published on their official Facebook pages. The sociation processes in the sense of visibility brought by the communication have enabled discussions about homophobia, which in 2019 was criminalized in Brazil by the Superior Federal Court. Such discussions reached the football arenas and the cultural spectacle of football, where homophobia is often performed by fans. The guiding question is: how is the anti-homophobic social engagement process being carried out amidst the cultural spectacle of Pará football? The main objective is to explain the social engagement against homophobia in Pará football, which in turn is marked by the rivalry between Remo and Paysandu and their respective fans, not just explaining, but went further by proposing a reflection on the universe of football and the practices of homophobia and against homophobia.. The methodology used is content analysis according to Laurence Bardin (1977), and qualitative and bibliographic research to obtain adequate theoretical references, such as Édison Gastaldo (2005), Itamar Gaudêncio (2003), Georg Simmel (1983), Roberto DaMatta (1982) , Manoel Tubino (2001), Frederico Coelho (2006) and Mauricio Murad (2012), for studies that made it possible to approach the proposed subject. The result of the research points out that the engagement against homophobia means a new context in football, which has the internet as a fundamental piece so that it is more relevant and developed in the midst of the Paraense and Brazilian soccer spectacle.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O arrasta povo do Pará: experiência comunicativa e estética nas festas da aparelhagem Super pop(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-03-24) COSTA, Hans Cleyton Passos da; CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5700042332015787The sound systems were created on the outskirts of Belém between the years of 1940 and 1950, with simple structures and familiar character. They consist of a sound projector, also known as a "boca-de-ferro", which was connected to one or two turntables. Based in a Communication Science approach, the present work aims to analyze the communicative experience, addressed as an aesthetic experience, present in the intersubjective elements that are shared with during the celebrations of the Super Pop sound system, held in Belém and its metropolitan region. The work was conducted from a phenomenological perspective, through which it seeks to highlight the experience of the researcher’s encounter with the object as a comprehensive and hermeneutic process. The intersubjective materialities are analyzed from the phenomenological approach present in Maffesoli and Schutz’s methodological orientations. In order to do so, I concentrate on the analysis of three events held by Super Pop Live, since, in my view, they contain the elements we observe in the set of such festivals and can thus be understood as syntheses of social forms and experience of the sound system party.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Artitas visuais e vídeos mapping: narrativas audiovisuais produzindo sentidos na Amazônia paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-16) BREMGARTNER, Jean Lucas Teixeira; COSTA, Vânia Maria Torres; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7517564393392394In this research, we seek to understand the use and concept of video mapping beyond its technical dimension, as it can be considered a new form of expression and contemporary interaction. At the same time, we focus on the analysis of the productions and experiences of four local visual artists, whose main characteristics are that they come from the Amazon region of Pará and express themselves through media art technology. For this, interviews were conducted with each of them so that we could observe how they understand their experiences, how they see themselves as Amazonians and how their productions facilitate (or not) a connection between art and communication, through the interaction generated between the artist and art through the created projections. In this process, we entered the audiovisual universe seeking understanding about how the connection between art, artist and technology occurs, how the use of narratives occurs in this context, and which narratives are constructed. As a methodological procedure, we used interviews with visual artists in order to get to know their creations and productions of meanings. We emphasize that the audiovisual we deal with here, video mapping, is an audiovisual expanded beyond the screens of the cinematographic circuit, which is an art and communication tool that generates connection with/among people, strengthening the cultural environment, in constant movement for the middle of the images.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Audiovisual, resistência e educomunicação na Amazônia paraense: a experiência do Telas em Movimento(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-13) SILVA JUNIOR, Valdecir Ramos da; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248In this dissertation, Festival Telas em Movimento of Belém do Pará is understood as a collective that contributes through actions, experiences and artistic-cultural activities, and promoves of cinema and audiovisual in communities on the periphery, riverside, quilombolas and indigenous peoples, from the Amazon. Telas em Movimento's activities seek to train young people to produce audiovisual content that helps in the personal and social development of their communities. Its main practice is the dialogue between audiovisual and resistance, through the dissemination of techniques and knowledge in filmmaking and thinking. In this work, the understanding of the educommunication process developed in the experiences of the Collective is evidenced, therefore, the objective is to understand the communicational dynamics, in the educommunicative practices of the Telas Em Movimento collective. One of the main work methodologies used is participatory Action Research in Brazil, contextualized by Cicília Peruzzo (2017) and designed by Orlando Fals Borda (1989), aiming at the construction, development and collaborative investigation of research issues. The basic concepts in this study are the Freirean educational perspectives, such as pedagogy of the oppressed (FREIRE, 1987) and pedagogy of autonomy (FREIRE, 2021), the applicability of the concepts of Educommunication by Ismar Soares (2011) and decoloniality as an enunciating concept, which through methodology and conceptualization make up the theoretical and methodological basis of this work, presented here by Walter Mignolo (2017), Catherine Walsh (2009, 2017), among others. The results demonstrate that Telas em moviment, educational needs and practices as a tool for social emancipation and that through its experiences it provides social and professional possibilities, as well as seeks to build new narrative practices in communicational products.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Belém metropolitana: representações midiáticas sobre o modo de vida urbano de Belém nas webséries a Solteirona e Sampleados(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-06-02) SOUZA, Victor Lopes de; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703This work deals with media representations about the city of Belém presented in the productions "A Solteirona" (2013) and "Sampleados" (2015). We assume that hegemonic media represent elements that invisibilize populations and urban nuclei as much as they value the demographic void and biodiversity of the Amazon region. In this way, we argue that webseries present a differentiated approach by making urban environments the protagonists of their narratives. Thus, we establish as a research problem "how do belenian webs elaborate elements of representations about the urban way of life in Belém?" Our general objective is to identify the media representations about the urban way of life of Belém in webseries from Belém/PA. The specific objectives are: to identify the Central Core of the Representations in the fictional media context on Belém, through analysis of comments in the websodes posts; to identify the peripheral system of representations in the fictional media context about the city of Belém, based on the analysis of comments in the posts of the websodes; to identify the themes through which the webseries represent the urban context of the city of Belém. In this study, we used two methodological approaches. The first one is to observe the media representations. For this, we anchor ourselves in S. C. Cole's proposition of analysis from the pragmatic and cognitive dimensions of the representations. The second approach has the objective of identifying the central core of the representations researched from the comments published in the websodes’ posts. We use J. C. Abric's methodological procedures, based on the writings of C. P. Sá. As results, we observed that both webseries present different approaches on Belém. We also identified that comments feature music as the main element of the central core of representations.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O canto de um presságio: a ressignificação de tradições socioculturais no Cordão de Pássaro Colibri(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-30) PELAES, Laís Teixeira da Silva; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cidade (Re)vista : interpretação decolonial da fotografia de Naiara Jinknss em Belém do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-14) SANTA BRÍGIDA, Juliane Oliveira; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6636359546031674This research focused on the imagetic production of the documentary photographer Naiara Jinknss, focusing on the content posted on her Instagram during 2019, in order to understand from a decolonial interpretation the role of her photography as an image of resistance. Therefore, the overall aim seeks to answer the following question: "how can Naiara Jinknss's photographic production be interpreted as an image of resistance within the power relations present in the discourse on the Amazon?". Through netnographic inspirations in Kozinets (2014) and phenomenological-decolonial approach, anchored in the phenomenological sociology of Schutz (1979), the understanding that phenomena and experiences are conditioned to the social and, therefore, transmitted in society was adopted. While exploring research objects that are immersed in the context of a country built by coloniality, it is a fact that the phenomena and experiences analyzed are also involved in what Quijano (1992) calls the colonial matrix of power. Therefore, we seek to develop the articulation of the concepts of Kossoy (2001), Aumont (2002), Fairclough (2001), Bhabha (1998), Hall (2006), Quijano (1992), Mignolo (2015), Maldonado-Torres (2017), among others. The research methodology developed included a bibliographic survey on the Amazon, Power and Photography, in the area of Social Sciences, and multiple stages of online data collection. The relevance of this study is trusted in highlighting the photographic production made by a professional from Pará who identifies with several minority groups in front of a field traditionally marked by power relations that do not contemplate these groups and that is not exempt from discourses and imaginary reproduced on the Amazon.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cidade (Re)vista: interpretação decolonial da fotografia de Naiara Jinknss em Belém do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-14) SANTA BRÍGIDA, Juliane Oliveira; COSTA, Vânia Maria Torres; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7517564393392394This research focused on the imagetic production of the documentary photographer Naiara Jinknss, focusing on the content posted on her Instagram during 2019, in order to understand from a decolonial interpretation the role of her photography as an image of resistance. The group works in the urban periphery, specifically in Terra Firme neighborhood, in Belém, Pará state. Their work consists of audiovisual production that circulates on the internet as well as citizenship actions directly in the outskirts of the city. Such work is based on the logic of popular, alternative, community communication, since it is carried out in and for the peripheral neighborhoods and communities from Belém, aiming at social awareness and social change. The group‟s work has become a reference in the city‟s political and educational fields. Thus, this research goal is to inquiry the configuration of Coletivo Tela Firme‟s communicative practices in the outskirts of the capital of Pará. The hypothesis raised in the investigation is that the group‟s activism in the communities where it operates in is intended to stimulate and promote political and social engagement among those who live there, mainly to contribute to their citizenship rights enhancement. Hence, it is proposed in this study a process of mapping and analyzing their videos and the actions they have done in Belém peripheral neighborhoods, either on their own or in partnership with other movements and organizations engaged with political and social struggles. The theoretical standpoints that support our research are based on Peruzzo (2009), Gohn (2010), Gonczevski and Martin (2011), Pinsky and Pinsky (2013), Mouffe (2013). Coletivo Tela Firme‟s work began in social media which, according to Castells (2005), Lemos (2006) and Primo (2013), are platforms that favor political and social participation processes, as much as they contribute to the articulation with other resistance movements. To carry out this study, the master's thesis approach is based on bibliographical and qualitative-descriptive research, mainly informed by content analysis, as well as interviewing, to reach its objectives, among which identifying citizenship alternatives in and for the urban periphery through Coletivo Tela Firme‟s communicative practices.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicação que se faz comunidade na periferia: ancestralidade e vinculação na passagem Limoeiro, bairro do Jurunas, Belém, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-18) CONCEIÇÃO, Raphael Castro da; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Configuração do acontecimento violento em narrativas jornalísticas: chacina da região metropolitana de Belém em Diário do Pará e o Liberal(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-19) FERREIRA JÚNIOR, Sérgio do Espírito Santo; COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2403055637349630Urban mass murders, or chacinas, are part of a context of violence and murders by death squads which have happened in the Pará state, Brazil, at least since the 90s. Among the most recent ones, there is the Belém Metropolitan Area chacina, which occurred in January 20th and 21st, 2017. It was the target of an ostensive news media coverage as much as of intense disputes towards the meaning of what had happened and its consequences. Due to such aspects, this master’s thesis analyzes the configuration of the chacina as a social event in journalistic narratives of newspapers from Pará state, Diário do Pará and O Liberal. Throughout the work, we present event theories and possible articulations between event and narrative as working concepts, emphasizing the role of emplotment in making events of social life. We also deal with the context and problematic fields of the Belém Metropolitan Area chacina in order to present the interpretations under which such events are inscribed. To analyze the narratives from both newspapers, we depart from an approach that is made of two concepts, eventful course and eventful scenes, so to understand how the violent event is configured. We identified three scenic orders throughout the configuration of this event: a) crime scenes; b) political-institutional scenes; and c) scenes of dispute. In Diário do Pará, the chacina is thematized as part of a political conflict between the state management of public security and the various meanings the newspaper proposes based on the deaths and other agents. In O Liberal, the chacina is integrated in a diffuse context of lethal violence or violent deaths, putting a strong emphasis on criminalizing the victims and echoing the state security management’s perspective on the event. Thus, the research findings point to an event that presents the chacina as a) the policeman’s death as well as the other victims’, killed in the Belém Metropolitan Area peripheries, .and b) through the political-institutional consequences that signal to the disputes of meaning in the narratives and by the social and political agents who are made part of them.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O crime é o que importa, o resto resto: performance midiática do apresentador nos programas televisivos populares do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-03) FERRÃO, Marília Severo de Souza Argollo; COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2403055637349630The present research has as object of analysis the television programs from Pará - Balanço Geral (Pará version), Cidade Alerta Pará (both from Record TV), Brasil Urgente and Barra Pesada (aired by Rede Brasil Amazônia de Comunicação - RBA / Band). Our investigation articulates the understanding of two dimensions that intersect or connect the so-called popular programs, with the following questions: a) what do your daily narratives say? and b) what is the relationship of the presenters in the construction of these narratives? As an objective to analyze the relationship between the narrative and the presenters of popular television programs. The construction of the hypothesis took into account that the meaning of these narratives, even appealing to infotainment and human contempt, are configured as a journalism of proximity and visibility of subjects invisible to society. The fabric of the research is motivated by the observation of some main elements, among which: the role of open TV in Brazil, considering the dispersion of the public by other modalities of audiovisual consumption; the significant insertion of programs of this nature in Brazilian and Pará broadcasters; and the change in the profile of the audience that watches TV (BRASIL, 2016). As methodological procedures, we used qualitative research and content analysis, inspired by a narrative analysis. The four presenters of the programs were interviewed and 04 editions were analyzed, one of each program. The results show that the presenters use the performance in order to motivate and captivate the audience, creating a strategic relationship of proximity, from verbal and non-verbal communication, using a language specific to the communities. These subjects/presenters use the television studio setting to perform their behaviors and mediate the narratives produced with the audience. We found that the presenters have the intention of relating and approaching the public, because for the existence and permanence of the programs, an audience is necessary, and the presenters are configured in relationship and mediation strategies.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Da “morte social” à “morte pública": midiatização da violência e o caso da jovem Senhorita Andreza, em Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-26) REYER, Ângela Márcia Bazzoni; COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2403055637349630Based on the case of the young Andreza Ariane Castro de Sousa, 23, known as Senhorita Andreza, this research aims to analyze urban violence and the processes of exclusion/inclusion in contemporary times, since her media appearance, in 2016, until her murder, in 2017. This young-black-poor woman from the outskirts was involved in drug trafficking and other illegality. Our objective, based on this communicative micro-situation, was to understand how people constructed senses and reacted to narratives of urban violence about this young woman from Pará State and their manifestations on institutional social networks on the Internet, specifically fan page's the news portal Diário Online (DOL) on Facebook. We selected as methodological procedures the conciliation between Content Analysis and Framework Analysis, having as perspective the understanding of the representations that people make about their reality and to their interpretation of the meanings around them. Communication is explored as a process through which experience is possible and constituted. In the analyzes we identified how young people in conditions similar to Andreza's live in a situation of invisibility, or of social death since they are denied any rights as well as being placed in the category of evil individuals against good individuals, the latter being those must be protected and defended. We have seen that hate-speech is rooted in contemporary culture and gains new unfoldings with the reinforcement of common-sense cruel ideas and the legitimation of violence. However, they need to be controlled, selected, organized, and redistributed with the support of procedures that eliminate their dangers and powers. One of the findings of this study was that when violence, which involves adolescents and young people, is ruled by the press, this one continues to have difficulties in achieving diversity, purposeful and quality information; there are lacking profound opinions, contestation, and argumentation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Da estética da identificação comunicacional à dimensão sensível territorial da feira do Guamá, Belém - PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-22) XAVIER, Fábio Rodrigo de Moraes; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6636359546031674The research we have as perception the aesthetics of communicational identification to the sensitive territorial dimension in the daily of the Guamá fair, located in Belém in the State of Pará Brazilian Amazon. The our objective is to understand the functioning of the movement that happens between the regulars in that daily, also the communicative experience of the place. We use as our methodology visits to the fair within the ethnographic process, to us understand aesthetics as being-together with others in the generalized art that place and the identification as interactions between people and connections that constitute the sensitivity of the fair that is conducted in the territory those individuals. We observed that the diversity of the Guamá fair offers different expressions and is built on events of connections that permeate the existing relationships between those people. Our reflection provides an understanding of the existence of that reality that is driven by the present experience of that movement that the fair in Guamá expressItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Design vernacular: a comunicação visual informal no cotidiano da Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-15) PEREIRA, Natália Cristina Rodrigues; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248This research reflects on the vernacular design as a communication experience in the Amazon region. The analyzed object in the study is the draws of letters (lettering) painted manually on boards, facades, banners, and other surfaces widespread across the region that, based on the popular culture, aim to supply the communicational necessities of the informal commerce where they originate. The focus of the investigation came from the following question: what are the inspirations, particularities, and strategies that permeate the material and symbolic universe of this type of informal visual communication, without losing sight of its market potential and its relationship to the community? Therefore, this research used concepts of Benjamin (1987), Braga (2011), Canevacci (1997), Schutz (2012), Dewey (1980), Durand (1996), Flusser (2013), Kant (2012), Maffesoli (1998) e Paes Loureiro (2008; 2001), among others. Accordingly, the hypothesis presented here pointed that the informal visual communication, permeated by the universe of the Amazonian culture, contributes in the symbolic and economic scope directly to the reality of the community in which it is inserted. The methodology was based on the qualitative descriptive analysis, starting from field research, being that the collection of material (photography registration and interviews) started from August 2015 to January 2018, including two visits in each one of the three islands of the Municipality of Belém chosen for the study: Cotijuba, Caratateua (Outeiro) e Mosqueiro. It's believed that the importance of this research is focused on the possibility of contributing with studies that go beyond the technical aspects of communication, therefore based on the men in society, as well as, long-term, to be able to collaborate for a possible demystification of stereotypes about the Amazon.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A emersão do carimbó urbano: um gênero marginal do carimbó(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-05) LEITE JÚNIOR, Daniel da Rocha; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703This research aims to demonstrate that the urban carimbó has emerged in recent years as a movement and also a lifestyle for the Stampers of the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB). In this way, the intention is to show why this type of cultural manifestation is configured as legitimate - despite the absence of its registration in the patrimonialization process carried out by the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) during the years 2008 to 2013 that generated the research on the identity of the carimbó and resulted in the Carimbó Dossier in 2014, therefore, there is no investigation a deep investigation on the carimbó produced in urban spaces, therefore, this research focused on the absence of registration and on the existence of an urban resignification of the carimbo. In this way, the focus of this research was to recognize the matrices that constitute the bases for the emergence of the urban carimbó, from a methodology of participant observation conceptualized by Malinowski (1975) and anchored in convergence with the multi-situated ethnography of Marcus (1995), focusing on the subjective character of the subjects and objects analyzed, as well as an analysis of the trajectory of the carimbó sets Caruana and Cobra Venenosa based on a bibliographic clipping provided in the research on carimbó by Salles (1969), Gabbay (2012) and Amaral (2004). ), in addition to cultural studies on the hybridization processes postulated by Canclini (2003) and cultural diaspora by Hall (1996) and, also, studies on urban spaces made by Lefebvre (2006) and Harvey (2014) to demonstrate how this movement urban carimbó reshapes the identity of the traditional manifestation of carimbó, by developing new forms of sociality.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre a cultura popular e a arte urbana: a cidade de São Caetano de Odivelas-Pará nos murais contemporâneos de And Santtos e Adriano DK(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-30) COSME, Priscilla Brito; NEVES, Ivânia dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2648132192179863As cities and their individuals are historically built, their memories are fractured and depend on the conditions of visibility possibilities and discourses of silence. In this sense, we take a city that is not as a neutral space, empty of memory, or an urban calculation, but as an interactive and communicative space. From this perspective, we will analyze contemporary murals with an immensity of colors, brushes, paints, graffiti spray and Masks ox painted by the artists Adriano DK and And Santtos, with a notion of "odivelismo", a concept proposed by him, a study aimed at social and cultural values of the city of São Caetano de Odivelas, in the state of Pará. Our goal is to understand how their works translated into the urban space, interact with the city's residents and portrays the ethnic diversity of its residents. For this purpose, this fieldwork based on ethnographic tones, involves semi-structured interviews with social actors in the city, but it is based mainly on the experiences lived in the city in the company of the artists. Our theoretical-methodological framework is based on the formulation of communicative communication and polyphonic city, proposed by Lucrécia Ferrara and Canevacci, in Foucault's studies on subject flavors, in the definition of contemporary mural by Gitahy and an anthropological approach of graffiti by Campos. This investigation identified a form of ethnomural, using an expression based on the daily life of the odivelense people, in singular poetry, on feelings of the dweller on the banks of the Mojuim river revealed in the rhythms, sounds and popular culture, the mangrove and fishing visions, of playing in the Boi de Máscaras procession materialized on the city walls.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre a violência e a mídia: percepções dos policiais sobre si(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-30) NERES, Priscila de Sousa; COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva daThis paper aims to analyze the relationship between violence, the police and the media from the perspective of police officers, that is, how police officers perceive their self construction and the construction of their performance in the media chanels of the state of Pará. We note that military police officers are the mediators between violence, media and society. They are a main source of information, those who first come to an occurrence, and represent the voice that speaks for the state, the victim and the suspect at the same time. Together, violence, the police, and the media establish a communicative relationship marked by social interactions. In this sense, this paper has as its backbone the theoretical perspectives of symbolic interactionism, which assumes that one's actions are based on the meanings the world offers them; meanings are acquired from social interaction. The qualitative research method was used considering the subjective character of investigations, as well as narrative analysis, to understand the meanings that officers build of themselves and their daily lives. For data collection, we conducted 20 semi-structured interviews with military police officers who hold different positions in the operations department of the Military Police of the state of Pará, in the ostensive policing of the 20th Military Police Battalion, located in the neighborhood of Guamá, in Belém. We found that military police officers perceive the news as being disproportionate, considering the media's privilege to report only the negative aspects of officers’ activities and actions, most frequently appealing to exaggeration and sensationalism in search of audience. They also perceive the news about themselves as exhaustive, generalized and disregarding of their individuality. That is, it dissociates the individual from the professional. For police officers, the excess or systematic repetition of narratives of violence in Pará’s media is harmful because, as they explain, there is a desire for greater police apparatus, more demands, and for the police to take more space in the media’s narratives.
