Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) À procura de Mário Faustino tradutor(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-03-31) VERÍSSIMO, Thiago André dos Santos; LEAL, Izabela Guimarães Guerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2507019514021007The 1940s and the 1950s are significant for the process of cultural diffusion in Brazilian newspapers, with notable performances of writers, poets and scholars on many journals of that time. Thus, the ambiance of the newspapers became modern and creative on behalf of culture and literature. At that time, there were two newspapers which contributed, through their literary supplements, to the cultural movement in Belém, state of Pará, Brazil, which were: “Arte Literatura”, from Folha do Norte and “Arte e Literatura”, from A Província do Pará. In this ambiance, Mário Faustino has initiated his literary life publishing chronicles and poems in newspapers, and, above all, he worked as a translator of poetry. At the age of only 16 years old, Faustino has begun translating a laundry list of writers of international literature, from the Spanish, the French and the English. This analysis work aims to map Mário Faustino’s training as a translator, from his early translated poems. For this purpose, we discuss the notion of translation as a process of training and critical development.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Arquivos, bibliotecas e periódicos na Vigia oitocentista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-09-01) ARAÚJO, Joseane Sousa; SOUZA, Simone Cristina Mendonça de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9233950092812632; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840The 19th century was a period in history marked by changes in the Brazil. These changes happened in some aspects as social, cultural, political and economic. This transformation also appears in the Literature. The provinces of the Brazil were marked by this movement, for example: a little city of Pará called Vigia de Nazaré. This city rose to Literary History of the North by the formation of a society: The ―SociedadeLiterária e Beneficente ―Cinco de Agosto‖. Togheter this society other facts helped to construct a group that wished an intellectual development. This group wanted the rise and the social recognition. The activity which passed the city, during the nineteenth century, created mentality and helped to create a reading group. The aim this work is to write the process of creation this community throughout the history, as well as to reveal some facts happened inside this process and which changed the habit of a little city.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Autores brasileiros no Jornal do Pará (1867-1878)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-02-16) MENDES, Juliana Yeska Torres; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840The daily sheet Jornal do Pará, a periodical active in Belém, there was space for numerous political, news and literary publications, in addition to maintaining dialogue with journals from other provinces of the country, with the purpose of sharing sliced fictional narratives — the famous way to publish prose fiction at the nineteenth century. Given the range of texts published in Pará’s newspaper, and the favorable condition for national authors to disclose their productions, this work aims to recover the works of Brazilian authors that circulated in the journal while it was circulating, emphasizing the way these authors are represented in the Brazilian Literary History, in addition to analyze the theme of these narratives, considering the historical and cultural space in which they were produced. Thus, we intend to emphasize the importance of the literature inside the newspapers in the nineteenth century, as this kind of work allows us to contribute to the record of the history of Brazilian literature.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Contribuições para o atlas do Projeto AMPER-Norte: variedade linguística do município de Santarém (PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-18) LIMA, Leydiane Sousa; CRUZ, Regina Célia Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3307472469778577This Dissertation aims to contribute to the Prosodic Atlas of northern Brazil with characterization of dialectal variation of the Portuguese spoken in the municipality of Santarem (PA). This is a study linked to Project Atlas Multimedia Prosodic the Portuguese Northern Brazil (AMPER-POR) that is directly linked to the European research project Atlas Multimedia Prosodique de l'Espace Roman (AMPER). For the constitution of the corpus was field research conducted in the municipality of Santarem (PA) that is part of the area of operation of the main project, which investigates the dialect of Para provincial Amazon. All methodological procedures used in this study followed the guidelines established by the AMPER team for the conduct of training corpora for multimedia prosodic Atlas of the Romance languages. For this work has created an expanded corpus composed of 416 phrases SVC type (subject + verb + complement) with its expansions in Syntagma Adjectival and prepositional phrase. The sentences were structured obeying the same phonetic and syntactic constraints of AMPER-BY project. The results showed that the acoustic parameter F0 presented relevant distinction, the pincer movement that occurs in the stressed syllable of accentual oxytone guidelines, paroxytone and only a few cases of proparoxytone. In the Length parameter, it was observed that the values were higher in all statements of both sexes in the stressed syllable of the last element of the sentence. In intensity, it was found that the male speaks of measures are higher than those of women, in general, the interrogative are always longer than the affirmative, only two cases showed that this reversal of values in this parameter. Thus, the intensity is was not characterized as a complementary acoustic parameter F0 and ms. Therefore, it is shown that the acoustic parameters of F0, ms are determining factors of distinction in phrasal modalities, affirmative and interrogative total this research, related to the spoken variety of Santarem.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Das tramas do mito aos (des)caminhos da história: a travessia do herói nas literaturas cervantiana e rosiana(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-08-22) COLLINGE, Márcia Denise da Rocha; JACKSON, Kenneth David; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278The present thesis consists of comparative research whose focus is the formation of two heroes in Quixote (1605/1615), by Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616), and Grande sertão: veredas (1956), by Guimarães Rosa (1908-1967), in order to reveal the protagonist Riobaldo as a figure analogous to the “Knight of the Sad Countenance”, by circumventing the tradition of mythical heroism. From the paradigm of the tradition of “La Mancha,” that links the chief Urutú Branco and the Knight of the Lions, resonates echoes of deities; of mythical characters and of conceptual references from classical and medieval sources. I defend the proposition that Quixote recovers mythology that reverberates as an ironic concept and acts as the genesis of the novel whose genre, especially by the recomposition of archaic roots in the creation of a hero, transforms it into a modern myth in two ways: 1) proclamation of ancient wisdom, 2) the justification and rewriting of the cultural history of a nation. Through this, I apply the presuppositions of the literary remythification, proposed by Eleazar Mielietinski (1918-2005), for the elaboration of the everyman hero in the corpora texts. Therefore, I interact with the mythical figure of the hero after the ritual of consecration in the studies of the mythology, aligned with the thought of intellectuals such as Joseph Campbell (1904-1987) and Gustav Jung (1875-1961). From the dialogue proposed between these and other interpreters, I decipher between the various faces of the hero in a historical-artistic investigation, from the myth in its classical form, such as the epic and the tragedy, to its medieval, baroque and romantic developments. In the exegesis of the works, I present the metamorphosis of the literary myth Don Quixote, whose journey leaves an indelible mark on the universal heroic mosaic — the eternal image. The depth of this study reveals how the ingenious knight stands out in the memory of Brazilian literature, ratifying the various manifestations of empowerment of Cervantine themes, especially in the work of Guimarães Rosa, who sees, in Cervantes’ genius, dimensions for a new system of the creation of different types of heroes — madmen in streaks, full of lucid intervals in the deceptive Sertão of Minas Gerais. I exhibit, through the actions of the knight Tatarana, clear and enigmatic trademarks of La Mancha, among which I emphasize: 1) mature birth 2) cycles and saga resulting from the search for adventure 3) the psychological evolution 4) the myth of the duo 5) the admiration of the lady-knight 6) Love as fantasy 7) the ambivalent battles marked by ritual 8) the return of heroes 9) mad narration 10) the disillusion of darkness and light. Through this work, I establish the idea of “Rosian Quixoticism,” an innovative approach to Rosian criticism from a quixotic reading of the novel. It is Riobaldo, heir to the lineage of Achilles, Odysseus, Oedipus, Amadis de Gaula, Palmeirim of England, Don Quixote and Roque Guinart who, in embodying contradictory values mixing chivalrous ideals and problematic conflicts in a world in absentia, establishes the message of the mythical hero, the human being, in the traversal of “the last classic”. Accordingly, I see the expansion of the Rosian critical fortune, as well as the expansion of tradition of La Mancha in Brazil through the “endless aesthetic-receptive adventure” transmuted into the veiling and unveiling of the mythical faces of these heroes, true literary metamorphoses: Don Riobaldo Manchego and the jagunço, Quixote.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Descrição de orações complexas em Parkatejê: coordenação e switch-reference(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-06-21) VIEIRA, Luciana Renata dos Santos; FERREIRA, Marília de Nazaré de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4291543797221091The Parkatêjê indigenous language, belonging to the Macro-Jê, the Jê family and the Timbira dialect complex, is spoken by the Parkatêjê people, who live in the Mãe Maria Indigenous Reserve (MMIR) in the city of Marabá, south of Pará. The process of articulating coordinated sentences of the language in question was initially described by Ferreira (2003), which verified the switch-reference mechanism by means of the occurrence of two specific conjunctions nã and mã, one for the identical subject (SS) and the other for the co-ordinated sentence of the language in question different subject (DS), respectively. This dissertation describes the coordination between nominal and verbal phrases in Parkatêjê and points to some facts about the language: (1) it is confirmed that the language presents switch-reference (FERREIRA, 2003); (2) it is confirmed that a homophone form a mẽ occurs as a conjunction to coordinate noun phrases and names in series (FERREIRA, 2003); (3) the occurrence of the nã/mã conjunction of the switch-reference phenomenon does not seem to be mandatory, according to the data analysis, that is, the juxtaposition mechanism (parataxis) is also used. The methodological contribution for the development of this research followed steps like bibliographic research, fieldwork, transcription and organization of linguistic data and analysis / discussion of the data collected.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Discurso do desenvolvimento sustentável: a polêmica relação entre preservação ambiental e desenvolvimento econômico(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-11-05) SERRÃO, Glaciane Felipe; PESSOA, Fátima Cristina da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4011084861970140This research has the objective to investigate the polemics founder of the discourse of sustainable development. Several societies flourished and developed in this space, and came in contact with others from other parts of the world, and in this place they came to create another variety of thoughts that are concretized in narratives that continue today. In Literature, it has become a setting for the most diverse manifestations of literary art, and in History it constitutes a framework rich in the phenomena of humanity. Role-playing games, RPGs, are part of a genre that emerged in the late sixties in the USA, which presents in its vast material reflections of different historical and literary moments. His contributions are noticeable in several printed materials aimed at practitioners of this narrative activity and other medias. The present thesis aims to trace the dialogues that the RPG printed texts have with some oral narratives collected by the IFNOPAP Project, which aims to expose the resistant imagery in the local identity about what they understand as mythological reality. The focus of the work is on the texts that report fantastic creatures present in the testimonies of several subjects that were questioned by the researchers. The reports are placed in comparison with the texts coming from books of narrative games, something that aims to present how traditional popular narratives still resist time and are absorbed by a genre proper to modernity. For a complete perception, an outline of the course of studies of oral narratives in Brazil and other parts of the world, relevant to the objectives of the thesis, will be drawn. In addition to presenting the context of how role-playing games emerged, it will also be presented how the narratives present in the works can be perceived as appropriate literary texts for interpretation and analysis proper to Literary Theory. From these premises, it will be confirmed that fictional entities will be at the side of the construction of the identity of these peoples, based on the material of the authors who contributed to the IFNOPAP Project. Finally, in annex, the thesis will present a proposal that presents examples of how traditional oral narratives can be adapted for use as RPG scenarios, which will have their own characteristics to be used as a form of resistance and Amazonian expression.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre jornais, livrarias e gabinetes de leitura: a circulação dos romances-folhetins camilianos no Pará oitocentista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-17) PAIVA, Cláudia Gizelle Teles; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; ttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A estratégia da velocidade na fluência da leitura oral: um diagnóstico em seis escolas da Região Metropolitana de Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-05-08) OLIVEIRA, Elisangela Ribeiro de; PICANÇO, Gessiane Lobato; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8504849027565119The study aimed to identify the level of fluency of oral reading, from the velocity component which the provides data on the reading proficiency of students, the second year of high school, six public schools in Belém (PA) in 2013. We used a standard and specific method called Measurement-Based (DENO, 1985), which evaluates the measured reading speed of a subject, which is calculated by subtracting the total errors of the total words read correctly in one minute. This research was conducted with the participation of 76 students in order to observe if they read a fragmented way or in large groups of words and reading can flow smoothly, with a good level of recognition vocabulary. During conducting the research, it was found considerable information taken from the reading samples. Most of students have shown that their reading fluency is way bellow of the expected for the high school students. The majority demonstrated to have a suitable reading still for the beginning of the 9th grade and the other half of the students got proper reading yet for the 6th grade, and some students less than that. According of reading analysis by the CBM method, it is a result of little knowledge of the vocabulary, failures in automatic recognition of words, causing much slowness and hesitation in reading, which may contribute to failures in students understanding.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estudo de fraseologia do futebol brasileiro das séries B, C e D em jornais digitais populares: construção de um dicionário eletrônico(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-03-27) SALVADOR, Carlene Ferreira Nunes; RAZKY, Abdelhak; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8153913927369006One of the knowing the social thought history through centuries is present in a vast number of expressions that can convey the way one or more generations live and can work as conduct instruments able to be aplied in daily life. The factors that allow its union under the hypernymy phraseology are essentially semantic, that is, its signification is established from a set of elements that constitute them and its high level of lexicalization. What characterizes the permanent expression is the conventionality of the group and its memorization as a cohesion block, its sequence is recovered from the memory as a whole and recognized as an informational unity. The studies of the phraseological units of the common language have long been carried out through the organization of repeated expressions, orally or in writing, in important works of literature from different eras. In turn, common language phraseology encompasses the study of quite different units: proverbs, dictations, idioms, phrases, and utterances. However, the study of these units in specialty languages has only recently begun to gain ground due to the advancement of the sciences and the need to understand the languages of the specific areas that are developed, in view of the new technologies and linguistic mobility to which the Man is exposed. In this sense, the present PhD work aims to identify, describe and analyze in written texts from the Sport Notebook section of five Brazilian capital newspapers: Amazônia Jornal / Belém, Daqui / Goiânia, Diário Gaúcho / Porto Alegre, Massa / Salvador e Meia Hora de Notícias / Rio de Janeiro the phraseology related to the universe of football series B, C and D of the Brazilian championship. The data were collected in the time-cut from 2008 to 2015, which includes a post and a FIFA World Cup pre-match, which leads us to believe that there is a natural propensity to produce these structures, as well as verify the degree of crystallization Of these phraseological units. Corpus linguistics is part of the methodological procedures and the empirical approach used to compile and extract data according to Berber Sardinha (2004) and Tagnin (2005). The theoretical basis adopted is limited to the taxonomy proposed by Gross (1982), Gross (1996) and Mejri (1997, 1998, 2002, 2012), Xatara (1994, 1998); Ortiz-Alvarez (2000 ; 2012) and Oto-Vale (2002) for the identification of the criteria and the analysis of the phraseological units. For a specific approach to phraseology, we rely on the precepts developed by Mejri (1997; 2012), in which the author explicitly states that underlying syntactic behaviors of fixed sequences are deep semantic mechanisms. Considered under this bias, the studies in the area of phraseology not only allow to reflect on questions in the field of language, but also contribute to understand a particular community by recording and analyzing the expressions that make up its linguistic heritage. 1318 phraseological units were found and the data obtained reveal a considerable presence of phraseologies in the texts investigated. Some very emblematic examples: pisar na bola, gol de bicicleta and lá onde a coruja dorme. The corpus evidences, therefore, uncontested marks of these phraseologies in the lexicon, reason for which it is necessary to investigate these marks.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estudo geossociolinguístico da variação lexical na zona rural do estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-05-28) GUEDES, Regis José da Cunha; RAZKY, Abdelhak; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8153913927369006Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Um estudo sobre os ensaios jornalísticos de Franklin de Oliveira: a face das críticas rosianas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-02-28) SILVA, Elizandra Fernandes Reis da; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O herói na interpretação e na recepção crítica de “Grande sertão: veredas”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-02-28) ROCHA, Márcia Denise Assunção da; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278The present dissertation consists of a reading based in the aesthetic molds of the novel Grande sertão: veredas, by the writer Guimarães Rosa (1908-1967). After an art-historical study of the types of heroes presented in the course of universal literary history and analyzed by the critics, such as in the epic (epic hero), in the medieval (medieval hero), in the tragedy (tragic hero) and romance (hero romanesco), including the hero category hero formulated by Georg Lukács: the demonic hero, as well as the hero in modernity (modern hero), there is in the present work a differentiated examination of the figure of the persona based on jaussian model, which will be used for consideration of an interpretive and critic reception study of the character in Rosa‘s work, especially since 1956. This way, it will demonstrate that current theme is sustained by the literary works that offer themselves as objects of questioning for critic thought, renewing the theoretical principles of each era. Thus, the analysis turns to a critic study of some major authors of literary criticism in Brazil and abroad, whose selection is according to the hero categorie, like Manuel Cavalcanti Proença (1958), Mario Vargas Llosa (1966), Antonio Candido (1969), Walnice Nogueira Galvão (1972), Benedito Nunes (1982), Davi Arrigucci Jr. (1994), José Antonio Pasta Jr. (1999) e Ettore Finazzi-Agrò (2004) with the aim of understanding and explaining the importance of reconstruction of the horizon of expectation from the hermeneutic triad, that allows the reader to participate in the genesis of the aesthetic object, expanding its context and meaning.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O (Inter)cultural em livros didáticos de português brasileiro para estrangeiros(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-11-30) BATISTA, Marcos dos Reis; CUNHA, José Carlos Chaves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3117544056791050Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Leituras a vapor: a cultura letrada na Belém oitocentista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-04-27) NOBRE, Izenete Garcia; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Literatura e imprensa em Belém do Grão-Pará: o romance-folhetim no periódico Diário de Notícias, nos anos de 1881 a 1893(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-07-02) CRUZ, Lady Ândrea Carvalho da; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840This work presents researches realized at the journal Diário de Notícias, from Belém, Pará, from 1881 to 1893, having as goal the recover of fictional texts, specially the feuilleton, genre which emerges from the intense relation between literature and journal in the 19th century. Is this period, the journal appears as an important communication media to culture and politics, considering its lower expense in comparison with the books. The feuilleton reaches, inside the journal, a great popularity among the readers. Between the recovered feuilletons, we choose to analyze the Negro e cor de rosa: o canto do cysne, by the French writer Georges Ohnet, published from July to August, 1887, inside the Diário de Notícias’s Folhetim section. We based our analysis in the studies of Jésus Martín-Barbero about the feuilleton’s enunciation mechanisms. With this research, we tried to investigate how the publishing market characterized itself in Belém, asking about the relation between the public’s taste and the strong presence of French writers, and the marketing’s relations between publishers and booksellers. In this way, the relevance of the studies in History of Book Lectures is emphasized, for it allows us a recovering work of information to the memory of the History of Brazilian Literature.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Mário Faustino e seus ciclos tradutórios: do arte-literatura ao poesia-experiência(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-03-31) ALMEIDA, Dayana Crystina Barbosa de; GUIMARÃES, Mayara; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834076554286321; LEAL, Izabela Guimarães Guerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2507019514021007This work has as its goal analyzing how the intertextuality of the writers T. S. Eliot, James Joyce, Robert Stock, Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman and Ezra Pound, occurs in the literary work of Mario Faustino. According to Bosi (1994) and Benedito Nunes (1985), the poetry of Faustino results of the various authors that he read in different moments, as in: Mallarme, Yeats, Rilke, cummings, Joyce and Pound, From Pound he used the motto “make it new”. The motto of Pound takes back directly or indirectly the voice of other authors in some of Faustino's poems. This fact was always taken as practical confirmations. That’s how we defined some parameters to choose which authors would be studied: We are going to use only Anglophone authors, and among them, only authors that Faustino translated in some literary supplement and in one magazine. Going from these points, the authors were divided in two cycles: The North cycle that contains the Art-Literature supplement and the North magazine; the Southeast that contains the Poetry-Experience supplement. In both cycles, we try to demonstrate how the author’s presences are felt in Faustino's works, by means of the creations of new poems based by the poems of Anglophone authors or by means of the incorporations of elements that define the characteristics of a single Anglophone author. In this work it is presented some considerations according to: Chaves (1986) Kristeva (1974) e Bakhtin (2003; 2006), Santiago (1978), Nunes (1985; 1986; 1997; 2009) e Campos (1977; 1992).According to Compagnon (2007) we can notice the reconstruction of the words. In this case, In this case, in the analyzes of the translations made by Faustino and his own work in which each step is a bond of an immense plot that links this text to other read texts and that were “cut out”, that are manipulated by one person at the same time author and reader (Faustino). This way the author/ reader, has practice working on quoting, that means, retell what was told by others.
