Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Acesso à literatura técnico-científica por discentes cegos da Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-07) PINHEIRO, Alexandre Lobo; OLIVEIRA, Hamilton Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3172995771315859People who have visual disabilities find many barriers to access to information, such as the technical-scientific literature, widely used by university students, because the lack of accessible bibliographic material is still big. This research intends to analyze the problems around the access to bibliographic material by blind students of Federal University of Pará. The general objective is to investigate the processes that involve the technical-scientific literature access by blind students of Federal University of Pará. The specifics are: a) To promote a discussion about the mediation of information to people with disabilities as a field of study in information science; b) To discuss about legal aspects and actions related to access to information for people with disabilities; c) To identify barriers and strategies for access to the technical-scientific literature of the blind students of Federal University of Pará; d) To analyze the processes that involve the mediation of the information for the technical-scientific literature access by blind students of Federal University of Pará. This is an exploratory study in which a case study will be carried out with theoretical contributions of the bibliographical survey and field research with data collection instruments through documents and interviews that can support the study. The interviews were taken to the blind Federal University of Pará students and the librarians who work in the Braille Space of the Central Library at UFPA. Based on the collected data, categories of analysis were established based on the declarations issued by the social subjects involved in comparison with the literature of the area of Information Science and those related to people with disabilities. The results show that in the process that involves access to the technical-scientific literature by blind UFPA students there are barriers in the scope of the student-teacher relationship and others related to the availability of bibliographical material in an accessible format. These barriers have negative consequences on the performance of these students in the development of their academic activities, as in the concept of the disciplines. It is concluded that overcoming these barriers depends on efforts already underway and more investments in factors with the potential to eliminate or overcome them as human resources, technology and interinstitutional partnerships.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Acessos e barreiras à cidadania: as Organizações Sociais e as novas formas de gestão do espaço público nas cidades paraenses(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-08-11) BAENA, Silvia Cristina Pereira; TRINDADE JÚNIOR, Saint-Clair Cordeiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1762041788112837; BAHIA, Mirleide Chaar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6052323981745384; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7168-2019The growth of the urban population is still a recurring problem that has serious impacts on cities, revealing a sharp contrast through socio-spatial and environmental transformations, which generates a process of territorial segregation. After all, urban growth does not necessarily come with better conditions of access to urban land. In addition, changes in the socioeconomic scope have redirected the management of cities and imposed models and parameters so that metropolises are readapted in order to make them more attractive. This scenario has also been repositioning the role of the State in the production of the city, especially with regard to new forms of management, which involves incentives beyond conventional public management. In this sense, this work aims to analyze the advances and limits of the management and planning model implemented by the public-private partnership between the Government of the State of Pará and the Pará 2000 Social Organization, in public spaces in Belém (Hangar, Mangal das Garças, Estação das Docas and Mangueirinho), from the point of view of citizenship and universal access to the service offered. This thesis starts from the criticism of political administration, which intends to think about public management from a critical perspective in accordance with the method of interpretation of historical-dialectical materialism, of a qualitative-explanatory nature. For data analysis, a triangulation strategy was adopted (interviews, documents and systematic observation), while, for categorization, a logical matrix on the topics raised, using the technique of content analysis. From the data collected, systematized and analyzed, it was found that the State, when using the management model implemented by the public-private partnership in the latter, as a result of neoliberal policies of its management reform project, strategically uses such partnerships in the with the aim of promoting the strengthening of the market, based on a corporate government, moving away from a conception of social justice with a socio-spatial development perspective, which allows universal access for the population. On the contrary, these partnerships, by providing, through contracts, the right to exploit services in exchange for financing and maintenance of the structure, made it possible to understand that the subversion of the criteria for providing the public service, from the importation of economic logics mercantile, with the prerogative that the private sector exercise more effectively the provision of services, depoliticized the relations between the State and citizens. So much so that, with this new reality, in which the company’s congruence, advocated by society’s policy, is universalized, the citizen is now seen as a consumer. In this way, priority is given to the dimension of efficiency and financial return. Therefore, new elements are observed, which make it possible to understand how the strategies, peculiar to the process of diffusion of the capitalist mode of production and free competition, advance in society from this new neoliberalist reason, which has transformed capitalism by establishing a set of policies, rules, norms of conduct and practices, as well as social control mechanisms that expand its influence in the world. This reality has guided nations and their governments, companies and subjects that regulate their actions from a subjectivity structured in the entrepreneurial logic.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gestão pública e acessibilidade de servidores com deficiência no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Amapá: limites, desafios e possibilidades(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-28) SOUSA, Adam Benedito do Carmo de; FEIO, Leila do Socorro Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0312002933984435; FIGUEIREDO, Silvio José de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2578700144404800; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6810-1639Inserting people with disabilities (PwD) in the work environment does not necessarily imply their inclusion. Public institutions must promote the permanence of these people in their functions in an egalitarian and dignified way to other workers. The Management case to be studied will discuss the accessibility policies for servers with disabilities (ScD) at the Federal Institute of Education Sciences and Technology of Amapá (IFAP), Macapá campus. The Federal Constitution (CF) of 1988 has as one of its fundamental objectives the good of all its citizens without any type of discrimination or prejudice (BRASIL, CF/1988, art. 3rd item IV), thus, the aspects that are related to the welfare of such servants is of utmost importance. The general objective of this research is: To analyze the working conditions for public servants with disabilities belonging to the IFAP staff, Macapá campus. As a central problem of this study, we have the following question: How are the working conditions for public servants with disabilities at IFAP, Macapá campus? The approach chosen for this research was qualitative and, as a methodological design, the case study was used. For data collection, we opted for a semi-structured interview with open questions to the ScD and the managers linked to the area of accessibility. At the end of this research, an institutional action plan will be presented with recommendations aimed at improving or promoting the accessibility of such servers.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) GOLIBRAS: uma ferramenta para divulgação dos sinais da UFPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-05-08) LIBONATI, Ana Carolina Delgado Quaresma; SEIXAS, Netília Silva dos Anjos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2301685130625189; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9879-9193This work is about the development of the Online Glossary of Brazilian Sign Language (GOLIBRAS), a glossary of Libras aimed at the deaf community of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), covering, in its prototypical phase, 29 signs referring to places of the university. We sought to answer the following question: how to provide greater access to Libras signs created within the context of UFPA? The product development was based on an applied research, with a qualitative approach, divided into two phases: one focused on theoretical research, with a bibliographic review; the other one focused on the development of the product and it was divided into three subphases: cataloging of signs, elaboration of the website (its characteristics and functionalities) and evaluation. The bibliographic research was initially focused on linguistic studies of Libras and its speakers, highlighting the notion of deaf community, the signal language parameters (the phonetic aspect of these languages), the classifiers and the SignWriting model. After that, accessibility and its importance were investigated, as well as the accessibility initiatives within the scope of UFPA, highlighting the role of the Accessibility Coordination (CoAcess), responsible for the creation and validation of the signals included in the initial version of GOLIBRAS. In the second part of the research, the development of the product, a cataloging sheet was first developed for the cataloging of signs of UFPA’s places and facilitating their insertion into the product. After that, it was possible to develop the site itself, including all the mentioned signs, besides its definition, example of use and information regarding the parameters used in its execution and its writing in SignWriting. Finally, the product was validated by six individuals, all members of the deaf communities of UFPA and the Federal Rural University of Amazonia (UFRA). The product was considered validated, given the positive reception by the evaluators, but it was clear that some modifications would be necessary. Thus, it was concluded that GOLIBRAS has the capacity to achieve the proposed objective and is a tool that has the potential to assist both in the issue of accessibility in UFPA and in the teaching and learning processes that includes deaf students, deaf and listeners professors and sign language intepreters.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Iniciativas inovadoras que promovem acessibilidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-05-28) VIEIRA, Mayara de Oliveira; VAZ, Cristina Lúcia Dias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5829728118120411This work is the result of an investigation into "Innovative initiatives that promote accessibility" and started from the following question: which innovative processes and/or products promote accessibility for people with disabilities within higher education? It has, as its methodological field, the method of cartography from the perspective of an intervention research in order to make visible subjective processes and monitor both objective and subjective processes. The study sought to investigate processes and/or products with the potential to promote communicational, architectural or instrumental and attitudinal accessibility, either by solving a problem or by a new approach. To this purpose, three research territories were chosen. In the first one, on Communication Accessibility, the "KitAcesso" was researched and produced, consisting of five applications, five info graphics, a workshop and an informative blog. The applications were selected through curatorship, specialized readings, supervised internship guidance and searches on websites supported by selection criteria. Info graphics were elaborated as a form of documentation. For the production of the research data, a workshop was held on the processes developed and, finally, the creation of a blog to disseminate of the kit. The second territory, on Accessibility with Rapid Prototyping, there was also the process of research and production of "KitAccessSol" compounded by the solution of two accessibility problems. The first one on architectural and instrumental accessibility through the design, model and 3D printing of a keyboard adapted for people with low vision. The second one on architectural accessibility through the design and model of a mobile ramp access to the drinking fountain of the postgraduate building in the Instituto de Tecnologia da UFPA. The kit also includes a on the adapted keyboard construction process. These problems were investigated during a curatorship of projects, programs and products on free websites on rapid prototyping and during a survey in the accessibility coordination of UFPA. To the third territory, on Attitudinal Accessibility by Art, the film "The Shape of Water" was chosen to reflect on attitudinal accessibility seeking to understand how film language can reinforce stereotypes, myths and prejudices that were historically and culturally built, as well as in order to contribute to dialogue on inclusion. The cartography from these territories went the long way along both the elaboration of laws that ensure rights of people with disabilities and in the construction of processes and/or products that promote accessibility, particularly in higher education, with an approach that sought to be broad, but considering important particularities. There is a great lack of knowledge about applications that help people with disabilities and it is necessary to promote digital literacy on accessibility at the university. Despite technological advances, the 3D printer is still little used at the university level as a tool to promote accessibility, a few simple and low cost projects in Assistive Technology are implemented and there is a lack of trained professionals in this area. As for attitudinal accessibility, there is a great silence that needs to be broken, we believe that Art is a promising way as it approaches sensitivity to promote encounters, which can mean the changes we have dreamed of and a more inclusive society.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Mediação da informação para público com deficiência: em foco a biblioteca da Escola de Aplicação da Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-05-30) COSTA, Ana Cristina de Almeida; CHALUB, Tânia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6737749200665570The mediation of information can be seen as a guarantee of accessibility, especially in the context of Inclusive Education, creating possibilities for special education students to acquire information skills for reading, researching and using information technology. It is important to know the difficulties and potential of these users in order to offer products and services to mediate information, helping the school to promote Inclusive Education. The present research has as general objective to analyze the information mediation practices for students with disabilities in the School of Application of the Federal University of Pará (EAUFPA) library. The research universe was composed by the school library of the School of Application of the Federal University of Pará. The research has a descriptive character and is classified as a Case Study focusing on the inclusive practices of the EAUFPA library. A Case Study was carried out with the field diary as an instrument for recording the data collected in the institutional documents and in the activities with professional servants who work at EAUFPA. An analysis of documents of the practice in the referred field in the last ten (10) years was carried out. At the end of the collection, the data obtained were organized in a qualitative way, through content analysis. At the end of the study, it was possible to observe that the EA library has been developing some inclusive practices and has been concerned with improving the mediation of information for the public with disabilities, with the guidelines of the Inclusive Education Coordination. However, it still needs to go a long way to reach accessibility, mainly instrumental. The study thus brings information and thougths that can help in the realization of projects that include all students of that school, regardless of conditions, characteristics and possibilities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Qualidade de vida dos usuários do transporte fluvial na Amazônia: acessibilidade e políticas públicas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-10-04) COUTO, Mayra Hermínia Simões Hamad Farias do; RAVENA, Nírvia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0486445417640290The river transport is the main form of displacement of traditional communities in the Amazon, and responsible for the quality of life and survival of riparian. The research aimed to describe how public policy and accessibility not carry river in the Amazon. The accessibility was assessed river Passenger Terminal In the cities of Santarém and Oriximiná and choose was made for the representativeness of the sample with exclusive transportation for population and they transport cargo. It was evaluated as Public Policy through the Political positioning in creation of new ports law using as shorthand notes. It was observed that the terminals in the Amazon not have an accessibility planned for national standards defined for the National Agency of Waterway Transportation (ANTAQ) and the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT). As shorthand notes had largest placements in discussion as bid as areas port and contract maintenance time focusing greater cargo transportation areas and responsible amendment for the local assessment in the Amazon in order to generate as future Public Policy no had positioning parliamentary Amazon. By analyzing the quality of life addressing Infrastructure and how generated policies to river transport user Amazonian were observed there is little accessibility and how Public Policy in sector aim to transport cargo to the detriment of users and have little regional representation, not a national struggle political, negatively impacting the quality of life of inland waterway transport in the Amazon user, however no shortage of river transport studies, as research increase necessary being no paragraph sector future Public Policy planning that they encourage the accessibility in the Amazon.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Tutorial do software tuxmath: uma multimídia em libras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-16) CASTRO, Fábio Júnior da Silva; SALES, Elielson Ribeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5467537517169068; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6242-582XThis present research of qualitative approach originated since experiences lived in the teaching process and observation in relation to lack of accessibility computing resources to the deaf person. We aimed to produce a tutorial in sign language as a multimedia format using TuxMath software, as a didactic and pedagogical tool for teachers and deaf students involved in the teaching and learning process of the four fundamental operations of mathematics. We adopted as theoretical reference authors such as Felipe (2013), Goldfeld (2002), Lacerda (2006), Quadros (2007), Stumpf (2010) Strobel (2007), Almeida (2006), Arroio (2013), Moura Perlin (2008), Skliar (2013), Frizzarini (2014), Borba (1999) and Tikhomirov (1972). Data were taken in the Laboratory of Multimedia Education and Production of Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) through footage of interviews with a deaf mathematics professor, collaborator of this research, who explained the functions of TuxMath software in Brazilian Sign Language, the collected data were edited for the multimedia production of the educational product that composes this dissertation. After the filming and editing of acquired data, a discussion was conducted emphasizing the product, from the software used, the construction process to the final elaboration and validation of the final product, which is presented in the perspective of a proposal of bilingual education, Sign and Portuguese languages, having as relevance the understanding of a deaf person in relation to the software, along with our interferences. We conclude that both the dialogues with authors that grounded the research and the construction of the product and its validation, denote the importance of accessible digital resources to deaf people who live in a listening world, but that their means of communication occurs mainly by the visual space channel. Thus, we understand that there is a lack of methodological resources such as the one we developed in deafness, mathematics and computer areas, that provides to the deaf person a better understanding of different areas of knowledge.
