Tese Desconhecido O discurso do Infilmável: formas de pensar a adaptação entre literatura e cinema(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-09-11) LOUREIRO JUNIOR, João Pereira; SARMENTO-PANTOJA, Carlos Augusto Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3263239932031945; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0552-4295This thesis reflects on the discourse of the infilmable from the representation of the impossibility in the translation process between literature and cinema, potential justification to evidence a supposed aesthetic impediment in the interartistic relationship the literary and the filmic. To discuss the ways of thinking adaptation from this perspective, we assume that the unfalmable reveals the conflictive relationship between what is proposed to be done (from mechanisms and resources built in the making of the script) and what materialized as an adapted product. This occurs through an intense process of searching for the film and finding solutions to assume the particularity of the cinematographic work, which in the filmable, is as unfalmable, because all cinematic translation is a possibility, a desire to transform aesthetic creation into a language in all its imagery potential. To analyze the constitution of the unfalmable discourses, we used several theoretical frameworks in the field of adaptation that helped us in the research. To discuss relational constructions around the game literature, cinema and translation, we used authors such as Borges (2007), Benjamin (2008), Llosa (2004), Cândido (1972), Adorno (1970), Bernardet (1985). When we discuss the unfalmable, starting from a conceptual, etymological, semantic, linguistic and historical perspective, to reach the places of speech that feed the term, we use authors such as Stam (2008), Avellar (2007), Bazin (1991). To support our readings on translation, adaptation and other related concepts, we propose a dialogue with Figueiredo (2010), Sanchez Noriega (2001), Plaza (2003), Seger (2007), Hutcheon (2013). In order to enhance our discussion, we analyzed some adaptations of films/TV series, based on Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, we used as theoretical contribution scholars such as León (2015); Hidalgo and Arruda (2020), Morell (2022) Silva (2016), Johnson (2003). As a conclusive point for the discursive delimitation that we propose to investigate, this thesis demarcates its position in the field of translation/ adaptation between cinema and literature, evidencing the fragility of a discourse around the unfalmable that potentiates itself in the space of common sense, by the discursive imposition of an uncontrolled impossibility, as soon as it is confronted by the power of translation between the borders that encompass the literary and the filmic and its eternal becoming.Dissertação Desconhecido O financiamento climático para cidades amazônicas: análise da prontidão e vulnerabilidade frente a eventos extremos de inundação(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06-07) RODRIGUES, Géssica dos Santos; SZLAFSZTEIN, Cláudio Fabian; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1348005678649555; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2855-2056The climate change causes concern due to the material and immaterial impacts that society has. The cities are more exposed to these impacts, because concentrate people and essential services, such as hospitals, banks, schools, among others. The adaptation and mitigation of climate change in cities is a means of coping with impacts, however it requires financial investments that may come from public, private or climate funds. The climate finance is an important topic in the debate on climate change, it aims to concentration financial investments that are directed to countries or cities to assist in the elaboration and implementation of adaptive or mitigating measures in the face of climate change. However, access to climate finance is still restricted due to factors such as technical or organizational capacity, and scenarios of social and structural vulnerability of stakeholders in financing. Another restrictive factor of access is that the sources of financing have limited financial resources. Through this, funding sources need criteria to select funding recipients, one of the criteria involves the applicants' readiness and vulnerability scenario. The climate change and the accentuation of extreme events also have an impact on the Amazon; therefore, actions preservation and conservation have always been a global public and private interest. The Amazonian cities have also suffered from the impacts of climate change, so its insertion in debates involving climate change and climate finance is of paramount importance to promote their development combined with facing the adverse damage from climate change. In this scenario, the research aims to elucidate the climate financing scenario for Amazonian cities and their levels of adaptation considering vulnerability and readiness. Therefore, the methodology for the climate financing scenario of Amazonian cities uses stages of searching, processing and analyzing data from climate financing projects. For the adaptation levels, the propositions used by Notre Dame Environmental Change Initiative in the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative (ND-GAIN) project, known as the Country Index and Urban Adaptation Assessment, are used on a methodological basis aiming at the formulation of the Adaptation Level Index of Amazonian cities facing extreme flood events.Dissertação Desconhecido Literatura nas redes da Pós-modernidade: a adaptação de Dois irmãos, de Milton Hatoum, em quadrinhos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-28) FERREIRA, Fabrício de Miranda; CASTILO, Luís Heleno Montoril del; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3519128535996125The adaptations are related to the technological revolutions that marked the cultural expressions of the contemporary world. In this context, of the so-called postmodern art, of multiple voices and signs, the practice of adaptation intensified, becoming recurrent. Thus we can observe intertextuality in adaptation: the text is based on other texts to be created, existing completely through an intertextual relation with the former. Thus, an analysis of this adaptation would take into account the relations of intertextuality that adaptation has with the adapted work, and how the comic adaptation recreates these relations through its own language, in this case, the language of comics. In this sense, this research started with the following question: if the adaptation is a process whose product is an autonomous work and loaded with new meanings, how is literature reinterpreted and recreated in the adaptation to comics in the context of postmodern art? Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the adaptation of the novel Dois Irmãos by Milton Hatoum as a formal product and as a process of reinterpretation and re-creation of a literary work in the context of postmodern art. Finally, this research provided reflections on the adaptation of a literary work and its place in the problematic of contemporary art, starting from the analysis of the intertextual dialogical relations that are established between the literary and the comics in the process of adaptation.
