This masters degree course conclusion work is a theoretical research based on the psychoanalysis and the fundamental psychopathology, and it presents a study on aggressiveness and the adolescent in conflict with the law. First of all, it is shown how the aggressiveness is part of the subjectivity, that is, it exists inside all the human beings, according to the analysis made by Freud in his book Civilization and its Discontents (1930); after that, the aggressiveness is studied on Winnicott (2002), who also affirms that this [the aggressiveness] is part of the subjectivity and emphasizes the importance of understanding this concept with its relationship with the antisocial tendency and the delinquency. Then, a reflection is brought up about the antisocial behavior and the delinquency, where the thought of Vilhena (2002) is underlined. This author differentiates aggressiveness and violence and at the same time, articulates the concepts of emotional privation with contemporary aspects; showing that the family is the support of those adolescents in conflict with the law, but as well, the failure of the parents regarding their children, which is a fact that should be taken into account in the study of the aggressiveness, the antisocial tendency and the delinquency. Finally, Marta Gerez-Ambertín's theory (2004) is presented on the "subject of the action". In this authors opinion, the subject should have a subjective compromise with his actions and speech. Working hypothetically, its said that the adolescents in conflict with the law try to find answers to their conflicts and unconscious desires. Yet, to the adolescent in conflict with the law, it is necessarily offered the possibility to talk about his action and assume the responsibilities for his behavior.

    Assertividade e autocontrole: interpretação analítico-comportamental
(2010-06) MARCHEZINI-CUNHA, Vívian; TOURINHO, Emmanuel Zagury; Universidade Federal de Brasília
Issues related to assertiveness have been investigated by behavior therapists for over three decades. It is more recent, however, the effort made by behavior-analytic therapists to examine such issues with the same conceptual and methodological tools employed by their colleagues in basic and conceptual research. This study aims to provide a behavior-analytic interpretation of assertive, aggressive and passive behavior patterns. We recovered some definitions of assertiveness/aggressiveness/passiveness and then examined the corresponding phenomena as behavioral relations, discussed some aspects of the behavior-analytic approach of self-control, and suggested that behavioral relations defined as assertiveness/aggressiveness/passiveness may be interpreted as instances of self-control or impulsiveness. Such approach may give rise to new directions in clinical research of social skills from a behavior-analytic standpoint.

The observation of fight (i.e., the presence of an anonymous observer of a fight) is something that changes the parameters of the fighting display of Betta splendens. The aim of this study was to identify whether and how observation alone or associated with the interaction modifies the emission of the display. Male Betta splendens were used (N = 28) in a battery of experiments to identify whether the aggressive display is modified either by the observation of a conspecific in a situation of confrontation (Experiment I) or by the observation of a conspecific in a situation of confrontation and subsequent exposure to this very conspecific (Experiment II). There was no statistical difference in the data obtained from the Experiment I, however, with respect to the data obtained in the Experiment II we could identify a statistically significant difference (F (1.6) = 6.002, p = 0.05) reflected in an increased latency of the Horizontal Display. We concluded that in Experiment I the behaviors were stable, and that the observation associated with interaction (Experiment II) is able to modify the emission of the aggressive display of Betta splendens.

Efeito do ganhar ou perder nos niveis de raiva e ansiedade em lutadores de judô
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-02-17) ARDILA, Héctor Andrés Páez; GOUVEIA JUNIOR, Amauri; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1417327467050274
Aggression is a behavior that involves a simultaneous activation of physiological, biochemical, neurological and behavioral components and emotions, such as anxiety and anger. In humans, sports can be considered as a form of display because they allow aggression to be expressed with a low probability of permanent damage to subjects. The competitions have been used as models to evaluate the activation produced by the different stages of competition, such as the outcome of the combat. Judo has been used as a model of competitive aggression to evaluate the different body responses in agonistic behaviors in humans, since it offers a context like those studied in animal fights. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of win / lose in the levels of anger and anxiety in regional judo fighters, male, linked to the Para Federation of Judo, Using the STAXI and IDATE psychometric scales, as well as comparing these results with the Brazilian general population and a correlation analysis to know the differences between the different components with the number of strokes, using a pre/post fight evaluation and the filming of the fights. Differences were found between winners and losers, as well as between fighters and the Brazilian population; The losers presented higher levels of anger, while the anxiety was greater for the winners.

Homens no cenário da Lei Maria da Penha: entre (des)naturalizações, punições e subversões
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008) LIMA, Maria Lúcia Chaves; MÉLLO, Ricardo Pimentel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9026097374517495
This work intended to study the place occupied by men in the context of violence against women - more precisely on nowadays scene placed by Maria da Penha law. This law brings several modifications concerning the strategies to “combat” violence against women. The most commented one is the severity when punishing those considered “aggressors”. In order to do that, learning the possible conceptions about men that circulate in this recent context, two fundamental steps were taken. The first one consisted of making a list of all the services provided in cases of violence against women at the city of Belém, Brazil. That was a moment on which we noticed the lacking of any service concerning the men involved in violence situation. Once Women's Police Station has presented itself as the most important reference about the subject at Belém, we began the second part of this research, which was divided on three methodological strategies: observation of its everyday life and interviews with its employees and people that used to go there. The information obtained showed that although Women's Police Station is a place that intends to give support to those that look for help, it reveals itself a violent ambient, something exemplified either by its architecture and by the kind of service provided there. Besides, it was possible to apprehend some suggestive conceptions of those men (and women) usually presented there. The main point of our discussion refers to a new naturalization of men that commit violence against woman: from a violent “essence” to a violent socialization. Here, although the people interviewed consider these men as products of a “sexist education”, they indicate prison as the adequate punishments in those cases. On the other hand, once prison is recognized as incapable of promoting “positive” changes, it is recommended to add some psychological treatment. It is possible to realize that there is a “treatment” speech about these men that tries to “regenerate” them and lately give them “back to society”. Nevertheless, we consider that this approach only increases the intolerance against men that commit violence, once it stigmatizes them as the part of society that must be cured, formatted and lately “given back”. In conclusion, more than a “treatment” we propose the creation of a space of listening that can put in check the certainties about the type of gender relations that produce and maintain situations of violence against women.

Violence against women: Can "jealousy" mitigate the significance of violence?
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-09) COSTA, Maria de Nazaré Pereira da; GOMES, Holga Cristina da Rocha; ALMEIDA, Thais Cristiny Carvalho; PINHEIRO, Renata da Conceição da Silva; COSTA, Calíope Almeida; GONDIM, Ludmilla Moreira Lima; SILVA, Mayra Raab Pereira da; CAMPOS, Rayane Sobral; SILVA, Stephanie Matos; LIMA, Valentina Ferreira Santos de Almada
Beliefs about love and jealousy can be variables that influence violence against women. The aim of our reproduction of a United States study was to compare our data with those of the original study regarding the acceptance of violence related to jealousy. A total of 264 college students participated in the study. They heard and assessed two audio recordings ("jealousy" and "no jealousy"), but half heard situations in which the husband beat his wife and half situations in which the husband does not beat his wife. After each audio recording, participants answered six questions, among them: "how much the husband loves his wife" and "how long would the relationship last". It was observed that, aggression, in the case of "no jealousy", showed to have a negative meaning both in the United States study and in the present study, which was not observed in the case of "jealousy". It may be concluded that violence against women is a cultural practice in Brazil and that social rules regarding male honor, female submission and jealousy exert influence on this practice.

Violência otélica: a agressão masculina nas relações conjugais
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) SOUZA, Jaime Luiz Cunha de; BRITO, Daniel Chaves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4547584911539063
This paper is about violence on conjugal and affective relations; more precisely, on occurrences when man is the aggressor and women the victim. The main focus of our discussion is the aggressors’ motivation from the point of view of men involved in this type of violation. Our analysis concentrates on police investigation considered as domestic violence, after the approval of Maria da Penha bill . We tried to explain the social factors involved in the logical construction guiding the actions of the aggressor. Initially, we found that there is not an exact correspondence on the terms commonly used to denominate aggressions perpetrated against women and girls by husbands and boyfriends, which restricts the understanding of the real dimension of the problem. The results suggest that violence has a rationality which is given by its relation with tradition; as a result, it is tolerated and repeated with common sense knowledge, acting as a language resource through which all informal codes which serve as parameter for conjugal life are constantly being reaffirmed. It was found that there is a relation of completeness between the one who perpetrates the aggression and the person who suffers from it, specially in those cases in which violence has been installed as a routine; It was also verified that men’s aggression against wives are always related to values and roles traditionally established as: suspicion of conjugal infidelity, domestic hierarchy and social spaces.
