Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aplicação dos métodos elétrico e eletricomagnético para o estudo hidrogeológico no município de Altamira-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 1998-11-20) BAPTISTA, João Júnior; RIJO, Luiz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3148365912720676This work due application of the electroresistivity and electromagnetic geophysical methods in the municipal district of Altamira, in the central area of the State of Pará, with the purpose of mapping the thickness of the aquifer layers and occurrence of diabase intrusions for finding a groundwater wells. In this area are many outcrops of basement crystalline rocks covered with sediments of ages from the Paleozioc to Quaternary. The objective is to obtain water from the sediments of Inferior Devonian, more exactly in the Maecuru Formation. There were made thirty four vertical electric soundings using the Shlumberger arrangement, the AB/2 distance varying from 100 to 500 meters. Also there were made 108 transient electromagnetic soundings with "coincident loop" arrangement, using an square loop of 50 meters. Due to electronic problems and supraparamagnetic noises, the results of this electromagnetic soundings became very distorted, impossible to get from them important geologic information. Then, electromagnetic synthetic models were created to represent the geology of the area. The data were obtained from the field were presented as apparent resistivity curves. They were plotted using a log-log scale and interpreted using the EGSLIB/SEV1D first and then with the EGSLIB/SEV1DIN program. The models used were horizontal, isotropic and homogeneous layers. The interpretation results allowed to determine approximate geoelectrical models which reflects the underground geological situation. The interpretation results from the electric surveys were confronted with the results of the qualitative interpretation from the isogams map of the total magnetic field, allowing to delimit with more precision the zone of incidence of diabase sills, located at the north of the area. From the four distinguished geoeletric horizons, the third is essentially constituted by sands, therefore it is best for groundwater storage.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Caracterização antigênica, físico-química e biológica do vírus BE AR 701405, obtido a partir de mosquitos da espécie Psorophora (Jan) ferox, capturados em Altamira – Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-03-26) ARAÚJO, João Batista dos Santos; LEAL, Élcio de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1158983666415285The BE AR 701405 virus was isolated from a pool of Psorophora (Jan.) ferox mosquitoes captured in the municipality of Altamira, Para state, Northern Brazil, in 2006. The objective of this study was the physicochemical, biological and antigenic characterization of the BE AR 701405 virus in order to provide data for it taxonomic classification. Newborn mice inoculated by intracerebral route showed evidences of neurological manifestations, such as chill and motor disorders after the infection with the virus BE AR 701405. Cytophatic effect (CPE) was in infected Aedes albopictus C6/36 cells was not clearly observed, however in VERO cells CPE was observed after 48 hors post infection. The virus load was determined in 10-4,1 LD50/ 0.02 mL and the titer after DCE analysis was calculated in 10−2,6 LD50/0,02 mL. The BE AR 701405 virus reacted antigenically with Pixuna virus hiperimmune serum. In conclusion, the studied vírus was sensible to the DCA solvent suggesting that it is an enveloped virus. Furthermore, by serology this virus was identified as a member of the group A, genus Alphavirus, family Togaviridae, more closely related to Pixuna virus. In addition, newborn mice, as well as C6/36 and VERO cells demonstrated to be sensible to the infection by the BE AR 701405 vírus. Further studies are needed to better understand the antigenic relationship between the BE AR 701405 virus and Pixuna virus.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) De Awaete a Asurini: histórias do contato (1971-1991)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-11-06) SILVA, Ivana de Oliveira Gomes e; MAUÉS, Raymundo Heraldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0915136632611666The history of contact between indigenous people and national society shows the totalitarian practices undertaken since the sixteenth century in Brazil. The interethnic contact undertaken by the Brazilian State toward the people Awaete/Asurini do Xingu was made in a context that prioritized the occupation and economic exploitation of the region of the Middle Xingu through major projects, during the period of military dictatorship in the country. The contact was a way to control indigenous peoples through the actions of the state. The stories of contact are analyzed from the theoretical reference of Structural Anthropology and Analysis of Speech and reveal the persistence of colonialism between the years 1971 and 1991, after the advent of the Citizen Constitution (1988), which formally recognizes the rights and autonomy of indigenous people in Brazil. The practice of ethnocentrism as a radical negation of alterity remains until the present, even within the discourse of multiculturalism.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Descrição cariotípica de peixes dos gêneros Baryancistrus, Parancistrus, Peckoltia e Ancistrus (Ancistrinae, Loricariidae) da Bacia Amazônica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2003-06-13) SOUZA, Augusto Cesar Paes de; PIECZARKA, Julio Cesar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6644368250823351The subfamily Ancistrinae is one of the most diversified among Loricariidae fish, including approximately 200 species, distributed in 26 genera. These fish are easily recognized by the presence of bony plates arranged in series along the body, and by the antero-ventral position of the mouth. Their common names are acaris, bodós, cascudos and sucker-mouth. Species of the subfamily Ancistrinae comprise an important social-economic resource, constituting one of the most important commercial activities in Altamira-PA. In this study, the karyotype of nine species of fish belonging to four different genera (Baryancystrus, Parancistrus, Peckoltia and Ancistru,$) of the subfamily Ancistrinae were analyzed through conventional (Giemsa, C-band and Ag-NORs) and fluorochrome (Chromomycin A3) techniques. The species of the genus Baryancistrus showed a diploid number 2n= 52, and FN=104. NORs were found in an interstitial position of the short arm of a biarmed chromosome. The species B. aff niveatus had large blocks of constitutive heterochromatin, rich in G-C. This character was considered apomorphic. Hence, the karyotype of this species was considered the most derived among the species of this genus. Genus Parancistrus includes species with a karyotypic structure very similar to the one found in Baryancistrus, and the position of NORs could be considered as a possible apomorphy shared by these two genera. The species of the genus Peckoltia showed a diploid number with 52 chromosomes, and FN=102, with large heterochromatic blocks in ali the species. These blocks comprised almost ali the long arras of some submetacentric and subtelocentric chromosome pairs, which could be considered as a possible apomorphy shared by the species of this group. NORs were found in the long arm of a submetacentric pair in P. vittata, and in the maximum of three chromosomes in Peckoltia spl and Peckoltia sp2. Ancistrus ranunculus showed the most derived karyotype among all the species analyzed in this study. This karyotype had 48 chromosomes and FN=80. Cytogenetic analyses so far suggest that inversions were the most important rearrangement that occurred during the chromosomal diversification of Ancistrinae, except in Ancistrus ranunculus, in which Robertsonian rearrangements were also observed.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os dilemas e as proposições da educação ambiental na Transamazônica (BR-230): do atendimento às normas para o licenciamento ao encontro das expectativas das comunidades da rodovia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) CORRÊA, Edisa Assunção; SILVA, Marilena Loureiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7261982145077537This paper will present a study conducted in rural communities in the municipality of Altamira in Para State aims to analyze the results of the Environmental Education actions implemented by the BR-230 program by the municipality of Altamira PEA - BP in 2010 to 2011 contributed to the integration of the practice of environmental education in communities, as well as for the formation of an environmental conscience. The theoretical and methodological framework bolstered in qualitative based on a perspective of critical environmental education; this included the analysis of documents related to the program, as well as documents from city hall and literature. The survey was conducted using questionnaires containing open questions directed to the facilitators of the program, interns and residents with some of the communities in question. Among the authors who helped in understanding the context studied include: Frederick Loureiro ( 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 2012), Marilena Loureiro (2007 ), Violet Loureiro (2009, 2011), Bertha Becker (2009, 2011), among others. This research allowed us to understand the linkages among environmental education thought to the region from the resumption of the paving of BR -230, but known to transamazônica. This new scenario is presented from multiple perspectives by directly affected by this highway configured as a favorable place to acercas discussions of environmental impacts communities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Discursos do conflito entre os diferentes agentes mediadores dos movimentos envolvidos no caso Eldorado do Carajás: novas tendências e práticas políticas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-06) SILVA, Henry Willians Silva da; BARP, Wilson José; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6546508090587542The thesis was based to analyze the actions and speech of the various mediating agents of non-various government departments involved with the defense of causes and social movements struggling for land in the States of Pará. The grounds underpinning the analysis of speech analysis belong to the French line. The survey is a qualitative-descriptive kind. The interview questionnaire served as an instrument for the production of data. The results indicated that there were various speeches and performances focused upon the dispute for land rights, claims, justice and challenge to social order. Consequently, the social movements’ struggles and conflicts against the state policy in the Amazon Region have increased. There has been positive activist discussions over the struggle as a strategy to agrarian sustain over the relevance conflict in Pará, used as an outcome to its opponents. It also establishes the possibility of carrying out public policies in remote areas neglected by the government as well as the criminalizing of conflicts.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Distribuição espaço-temporal de macroinvertebrados aquáticos do médio Rio Xingu, Altamira - PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-08-29) JESUS, Allan Jamesson Silva de; CAMARGO-ZORRO, Mauricio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5423657235023988The arm of this study was to avaluate the structure of the Benthic Macroinvertebrate assemblage an annual cycle in the Xingu River system, Brazil, measuring the annual secondary production. Two environments were studied in the middle Xingu River: the main channel and an insular lake. In the Lake were investigate the marginal and deeper habitats, with an Ekman-Birge grab. The habitats studied in the main channel were the rapids and the low flowing waters, with a surber net and corer. Were collected 23,432 macrobenthic orgamisms of 43 taxa, 8 classes and 4 phyla. The insects and gastropods compose the 47% and 36% of the total individuals collected, respectively. Rapids show the main taxa diversity. The fluvial low flowing and the marginal lake environments were very similar in species number. The mean density during the low waters was 1,605.75 ind.m-2, and during the flooding season was 894.43 ind.m-2. Leptophlebiidae, Hydropsychidae and Chironomidae were, respectively, the most relative abundants in the River with 29,0%, 21,4% and 13,07%. However, in the Lake Chironomidae (34,6%), Oligochaeta (23,2%), Chaoboridade (14,7%) and Nematoda (14,5%) were the most relative abundants. The macroinvertebrate assemblages differences between habitats were related with oxygen deficit in the waters and nutrients dissolved. The rapids were the more dissimilar habitat between all studied.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estratégias de aprendizagem e autonomia na produção oral dos alunos de licenciatura intensiva em inglês(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-08-27) BELÉM, Breno de Campos; SILVA, Walkyria Alydia Grahl Passos Magno e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6129530461830312The present work aims at investigating in which way the students of Letters majoring in English, of an intensive course at Universidade Federal do Pará – Altamira, apprehend autonomous practices, making use of learning strategies to improve oral performance. When they come back to the academy, after the periods without classes, the students say they feel unable to have an effective oral participation during classes. Thus, when coming back to the university, after the periods without classes, the students feel incapable of participating effectively in class orally exposing their ideas. This way, the purpose of this research is to give instructions to the learners, so that they can improve their oral skills practices through the use of learning strategies. The methodology in this research is action research with a qualitative approach. The data were collected by means of narratives, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. Eight out of 24 students participated of this research. They were at the second year of the course. The data were collected during July and August, 2011 and January and February, 2012. The results showed that the strategies instruction was relevant to students so that they could become more aware and more proficient of the oral practice during and after the period without classes. In addition, some students began to use other strategies autonomously than those already used before. They also started teaching strategies to other learners. Some students revealed they remained with the use of the same strategies that they had already used.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A implantação do REUNI na Universidade Federal do Pará: um estudo de caso do Campus Universitário de Altamira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-28) ARAÚJO, Rhoberta Santana de; CHAVES, Vera Lúcia Jacob; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3533444052532463The university reforms underway in Brazil, specifically those initiated during the administration of President Lula da Silva, inaugurated a new stage in the (re)configuration of public universities in the country, which directly affected the academic administrative, and policy structures of these institutions. The REUNI (Support Program for the Restructuring and Expansion of Public Universities) is an example of the current context of such reforms, and is presented as a major action on the part of the federal government aimed at expanding access to, and permanence in public universities. This thesis is the result of ongoing research in the Graduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). The implementation of the REUNI on the UFPA Altamira University Campus was the object of the research, which aimed to investigate the impact of the program on issues related to access to higher education, as well as those concerning university financing and management. Research methodological tools and procedures included literature review, documentary analysis, and case study. The theoretical and methodological approaches are founded upon the contributions of historical and dialectical materialism. Preliminary results indicate that, the massive adherence to the REUNI by federal universities notwithstanding, the set of indicators agreed upon in the Program term of accesion has not been fully achieved, notably those of quantitative character. At the Federal University of Para, despite the broad normative framework designed and issued to give substance to actions and goals of the Program, and effectiveness to its indicators such as graduation and expansion of the undergraduate programs, the corresponding results remain, so far, below the goals agreed upon with the Ministry of Education (MEC). Moreover, important changes have been observed in the dynamics of the institution management, which has enwrapped the administrative procedures by ways of rationality, flexibility and efficiency, in short, by a results-oriented management. Research results evidenced that the current conformation assigned to public universities resides both on the redefinition of the concepts of public and private and on the progressing erosion of university autonomy; also, they offered evidence regarding the ongoing expansion without the corresponding necessary financial apportion, and without the guaranteed standards of academic excellence, historically assigned to public universities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Indicadores de sustentabilidade para o município de Altamira-Pará: uma aplicação do barômetro da sustentabilidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-07-04) SILVA, Marcos Rogério Ferreira da; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3384080521072847It analyses through a series of sustaintable indicators, the setting for the sustainable development of the municipality of Altamira-PA. The Belo Monte hydroelectric project already causes transformations of environmental, social and economic order. As a way to operationalize the concept of sustainable development has encountered several methodologies that allow to identify processes and trends, make comparisons between nations and localities; indicate priorities for the formulation, monitoring and evaluation of public policies, contributing to the description and analysis of a particular reality. Thereby, the guiding questions coming from the participatory diagnosis of Local Agenda 21 of Altamira, the indicators were selected and applied Barometer of Sustainability. The result, based on a performance scale that include all the municipalities of Pará state, has determined it’s level of sustainability as "regular", ascertaining that the city of Altamira needs to develop and prioritize public policies in the areas of housing, sanitation and income generation. It is understood that this research can provide subsidy to the government, with regard to take the decisions that are required the development of more sustainable practices and actions.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Length-weight relationships and condition factor of the eaglebeak pacu Ossubtus xinguense Jégu, 1992 (Characiformes, Serrasalmidae), an endangered species from Rio Xingu rapids, northern Brazil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-08) ANDRADE, Marcelo Costa; JESUS, Allan Jamesson Silva de; GIARRIZZO, TommasoThis study reports on the length-weight relationships and condition factor for the endangered rheophilic fish Ossubtus xinguense Jégu from Rio Xingu rapids. This species is threatened by construction of the third largest hydroelectric in the world, the Belo Monte dam close to the city of Altamira, northern Brazil. Specimens were collected in the dry season between July 2012 and September 2012. Male specimens have body length larger than females, atypical in serrasalmid fishes, and different length-weight relationships were found between adult and juvenile specimens. This study presents the first biological characteristics for O. xinguense.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Levels of As, Cd, Pb and Hg found in the hair from people living in Altamira, Pará, Brazil: environmental implications in the Belo Monte area(2009) CARVALHO, Antonio Sergio Costa; SANTOS, Alberdan Silva; PEREIRA, Simone de Fátima Pinheiro; ALVES, Claudio NahumHuman hair was used as a bioindicator to evaluate the levels of As, Cd, Pb and Hg in the resident population of the "Volta Grande" area of the Xingu river, in the North of Brazil. The concentrations of As and Cd are in agreement with the values found in the literature, however, the Pb and Hg concentration is very different, which can suggest an inter-regional variation. Moreover, the high values found for these elements in the residents of the Canteiro Island can be attributed to environmental exposure of this population in an area with environmental impact from activities of gold mining. The application of these methods showed that the concentrations of the metals studied in this work can correctly classify two different localities in the Altamira district. The results reflect the impact of these elements on the health of the inhabitants of this auriferous area.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O meio ambiente de trabalho em tempos de desenvolvimento: a aplicação das convenções nº 148, 161 e 167 da OIT no caso Belo Monte(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05-02) GONÇALVES, Caio César Gadelha Moreira; NASSAR, Rosita de Nazaré Sidrim; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2092928958819725The paradigmatic transition of the enforcement of labor rights related to employee health offers circumstances in which the law is still reluctant to comply with them. This article analyzes the impacts of internationalization of International Labor Conventions n. 148, 161 and 167, coming from the International Labor Organization and what changes are necessary to the working environment in the Brazilian legal system. The problem of this work rests on the use of market asymmetries for the construction of large development projects, executed at any cost. The work has as background the internalization of the ILO conventions as legal innovation necessary to overcome the chronic conditions of violations to the work environment. The use of these instruments strengthens a new juridical rationality, in view of the problematic that occurs when taking into account the social complexity, since these international instruments must be used to break with the internal legal factors that do not offer the solution of this factual picture. Lastly, it was examined what are the reflexes by inserting these international documents from the new legal rationality that serves as a parameter of evolution so that the Internal Law can follow the phenomenon of the International Protection of Human Rights.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Movimento Xingu Vivo Para Sempre: ações, reivindicações e estratégias(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-01-10) MORGADO, Cauê Vieira; PONT VIDAL, Josep; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4415362518177732This dissertation carries out an analysis on a social movement known as Movimento Xingu Vivo Para Sempre, observed from its actions and social actors that composed it. The methodology used is the case study and as methodology techniques to achieve our goal, we chose the semi-structured interviews and participant observation. The main analytical category are the social movements, which reviewed about the optics of the New Social Movements, from authors such as Gloria Gohn and IIse Scherer - Warren. Furthermore, we use some concepts, such as: networks of social movements and opportunity structure, the latter being developed by Tarrow. The main objective was to provide an analysis of the Movimento Xingu Vivo Para Sempre, from their actions, strategies and claims, having regard to the opportunity structure in which this process occurs. The specific objectives we had: A reflection on the dynamics of the social movement studied from its history, analysis of the movement's composition and its form of organization, analysis of the relationship between the movement and the various social segments affected by Belo Monte HPP; analysis of the relationship between the movement and the different political and state institutions. It became clear in our research that the Movimento Xingu Vivo Para Sempre is a network of social movements that has undergone various transformations, especially the rupture and departure of most member entities of the network in 2009.The historical institutional frailty of the region, which is reflected in the lack of public services, contributes to the legitimacy of the movement as a channel for denunciation and opposition. However, rather than present an alternative development project, the movement operates in a defensive manner against the construction of dams on the basin of the Xingu river and the Amazon as a whole, through another network calIed Aliança dos Rios Pan-amazônicos. We also note that the relationship with the different social groups affected is impaired by the criminalization waged against the movement, as well as the small number of militants that integrate it, since the changes occurred from 2009. Lastly, we analyze that, despite the head-on opposition to the executive, the movement has articulations in other state sectors, especially in the judiciary, with emphasis on the Public Defender's Office of Pará and the Public Prosecution Service.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O programa de municipalização do ensino fundamental no estado do Pará e seus efeitos na gestão educacional do município de Altamira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-08-03) RIBEIRO, Edinéa Bandeira; GEMAQUE, Rosana Maria Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2993304230836305The work studies the municipalization politics which transfers the responsibility for educational administration to the municipal district, through a historical and interpretative movement, which purpose is to characterize these tendencies on the Brazilian education that tried to imprint to the municipal districts the priority paper in the offer of the infantile education and fundamental instruction in the country. From this incursion, the study part for an analysis of the Municipalization of the fundamental instruction in the State of Pará Program, showing the main objective and characteristics of the proposal implemented by the Government of the State in the end of the decade of 1990, that, mainly since the approval of Fundef, invested in the radicalization of the municipalyzing process of the lower education in the State. To evidence the effects of that program in the reality of the municipal administration of the education, this investigation takes as research area the Municipal district of Altamira, where it tried to unveil which were the ways taken by the educational politics of the Municipal district since the signature of the Agreement of Technical Cooperation dealt among the Municipal City hall and the Executive Clerkship of Education that has altered the directions of the municipal education. The research intends to contribute for the understanding of the municipalization politics, relating it with the structural injunctions, seeking to contemplate on the specificities that demarcate the triple relation among the national politics, the state character and the municipal context.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O PDRS Xingu e a política de expansão da UFPA no contexto de instalação da Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte: o caso do Campus de Altamira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-11-27) ARAÚJO, Rhoberta Santana de; CHAVES, Vera Lúcia Jacob; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3533444052532463The ideas of capitalism regarding economic development present education as a major factor for competitiveness as well as for the development of global economies. Therefore, a number of State actions materialized in plans, programs, and normative instruments establish connections between education, knowledge, and development, such actions being conformed to the economic demands. Higher education, as analyzed in this dissertation, has been impacted by the mediations of capitalist sociability which incorporates science, innovation, and technology, as much as the preparation of qualified human resources, as strategy for the widening of accumulation and concentration of capital, and as an element for global economic competitiveness. Public universities in particular are incorporated to the dynamics of capitalist reproduction through an approximation with the entrepreneurs and the market, by means of public-private partnerships (PPP). Such a phenomenon has been occurring regularly, and brings implications for the expansion, and the financing of institutions. The research herein submitted sought to investigate the socioeconomic consequences of the deployment of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Dam Complex (HDC) in the Amazon, in the context of the amplification and reproduction of capital in the region, as well as its repercussion for the policies relative to the expansion and financing of the Para Federal University – UFPA; for such purposes contracts and formal agreements signed between the University and the construction company of the power plant (Norte Energia S.A.) were analysed. The research methodology was based on the contributions of historic-dialectic materialism. Case study was chosen as the pertinent technique. Literature review and document analysis have subsidized the investigative process. The working hypothesis stated that changes, in the socioeconomic scenario, engendered by capitalism as well as by market values and principles have been progressively incorporated by public universities; products and services are requested from these latter by corporations and economic groups involved in the implementation of projects. The State acts in this configuration as mediator of the relationships between public institutions of higher education and the market, by both encouraging partnerships and disseminating the logic of autonomy, anchored in the public institution's capacity to diversify its sources of funding. Within such scheme, market’s demands become central in the bearing of the expansion policy adopted by the studied university - UFPA. Partial results of the ongoing research evidenced that cities and villages in the area of direct influence of the HDC Belo Monte endure poverty, inequality, violence, and poor access to higher education. As for expansion and funding, new resources have been raised by UFPA, which have been allowing for investment in facilities, equipments, and for the development of research and extension activities, by way of faculty’s projects submitted to, and approved by both the Plan for Sustainable Regional Development of Xingu and the Norte Energia S/A.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Perfil antropométrico, qualidade de vida e nível de atividade fisica de pessoas vivendo com HIV/AIDS em Altamira-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-12-20) MELO, Gileno Edu Lameira de; BICHARA, Cléa Nazaré Carneiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2161704040280760Introduction: The HIV and AIDS has reached more than 33 million people in the world and 600,000 in Brazil, that were reached in multiple social and health dimensions with an impact on their epdemologic profile as heterosexualization, feminilization, interiorization and pauperization of this grievance, besides organic and metabolic effectsoccasioned by the virus itself, the sickness and specif treatment. Objetive: describe the anthropometric profile of life quality and and the le level of physical activities from people living with HIV/AIDS in Altamira—PA. Methodology: a descriptive study involving 48 people, from 20 years old on and both genders, living with HIV/AIDS attended at SAE in Altamira—PA, who accepted participate in this research whose socialdemografic and clinical dates, as the number of lymphocytes T CD4+ and viral load were taken from records, and asked a protocol questionaries authenticated to avaliation of life quality WHOQOL HIV – Bref and the International Physical Activity Questionary—IPAQ—short version; it was done an indinvidual physical avaliation to the collect of anthropometric measurements like weight, height, Body Mass Index(BMI),circumferences and Waist Hip Ratio(WHR). The obtained dates were saved on EXCEL to be processed and analysed by descriptive and inferentional statistic. Results: the statistical population was composed by 29 women (60,4%) and 19 men (39,6%) prevailing age between 40-49 years old (37,5%) and age average of 39,4 years old; low education (66,7%); the group of single, widow /widower or separated/divorced (62,5%). In the level of physical activity, it was observed that 64,6% of the population was sedentary, being 41,4% overweighted women. In the distribution of people living with HIV/AIDS there was a significative diference (P=0,0013) in the proportion of cardiovascular risk acording the WHR and of which 70% were using the antiretroviral therapy in the average of 3,55 years. In the avaliation of life quality according WHOQOL HIV—Bref the score of the most positive average found with the WHOQOL HIV—Brief was the mastery of Spirituality and the lowest score was the mastery of Environment. And it was also observed a significantly average (P=0,011) in the psychological domain of the group with TCD4+< 200. There was no significance ancording the TARV. Conclusion: the SAE from Altamira shows the epidemiological trends of global pandemic HIV/AIDS as to the feminilization, pauperization and interiorization of this sickness. The BMI may reflect the most common behavior in the women with high propbability of risk in cardiovascular diseases. The IPAQ demonstrated that there is a population which most part is sedentary, with members physically slothfull and with great chance to suffer with the effects of lipodystrophy, methabolic disorders and bodily changes by the lack of physical activity and physical exercises. Generally, the observations looked like the general population which can be a reflex of the small sample of evaluated pacients. There is the necessity of aditional researches with a bigger sample to well evaluate the prhysical activity level, life style of PVHA, enabling proposals of specific intervention to pacients who live with HIV/AIDS.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O plano de ações articuladas e a gestão educacional do município de Altamira-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-02-25) SOUSA, Raimundo; SANTOS, Terezinha Fátima Andrade Monteiro dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9502681594591950This researpch discusses the role of Articulated Action Plan (AAP) in education management and present as object of study the implications of AAP in the management of Altamira-PA education, with respect to the democratic management. The investigation seems to clarify se with the implementation of the AAP there was progress in the democratization of education management in Altamira-PA. We pointed as well as general objective: analyze the implications of AAP for educational management Altamira from 2007 to 2012. The research investigation bases made themselves with the literature of contribution on the issues of the state and education politic, the democratic management of education and Articulated Action Plan, as well as official documents available in SEMED and other sources. Having as part of a research management, considered in the analysis of the educational context dimension 1 (one) of the AAP. So in addition to statistical data on municipal education, we analyzed financial data for the transfer of federal funds, and qualitative data on the participation of research subjects (education secretaries, counselors, teachers and teaching coordination). The investigation revealed that it is still fragile the field of democratization of education in Altamira. Of the analyzed aspects contained in the AAP, including the functioning of the councils (School Boards, City Board of Education, CACS-Fundeb and CAE), providing of the position of directors and the construction of the Municipal Education Plan (MEP) show progress and setbacks regarding the democratic management: existence of all the advice of social control and monitoring; reactivation of CME but this still can not coordinate discussions on the educational politic of the municipality; little participation in the School Boards; creation of Law No. 3,085/2012 establishing the Municipal school system, but still no installation; transfers under the AAP of federal funds for schools; lack of MEP and privilege of the IAS Target Plan. Finally, it is concluded that even if the resistance fronts for the construction and consolidation of democratic management of education and there are historical in Altamira, the construction of educational politic with the participation of all is frustrated by the centrality of the decision-making power in the Government’s hands.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Poder local e a gestão da educação municipal no contexto de Altamira-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-08-27) MILÉO, Irlanda do Socorro de Oliveira; OLIVEIRA, Ney Cristina Monteiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4355112931326342; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7426651393268725Based on discussions which take as theme the resignification of the local power as a mobilizing force, and its relationship with the municipal education management, this dissertation tries to problematize if the institutional definitions and the practices executed by the Educational Secretariat of Altamira-PA have contributed to the invigoration of the local power, in order to understand how far the educational process allows the formation and introduction of social agents in society democratization processes. Having as corpus of investigation the management of Educational Policies in this city, called Programa Rede Vencer (previously called Escola Campe?), developed in partnership with Instituto Ayrton Senna, strategies and practices proposed by SEMEC are evaluated in what concerns participation and protagonism of Altamiran Community, examining therefore, the nature of constituted and related nets among this organization and the actors and social segments. By establishing the articulation between the methodology of social nets and some principles of analysis of discourse, this research identifies contradictory perceptions and attitudes according to democratic government sense, decentralization and autonomy, as well as the population participation in deliberation and sharing of power processes so that the definitions instituted by the Educational Secretariat can reveal the centralizing character when managing the educational policy by ignoring the scholar community and being indifferent to its definition and implementation. In addition, the actual paper evidences that the educational management lies on a rational / bureaucratic model, based on performance results control which only favors the centralization of decisions in the ambit of SEMEC and the Mayor's office and, consequently, the removal and alienation of school and society actors. Finally, it is clear that the educational process, in its administrative and curricular dimension, hasn?t provided the citizens with the proper sociopolitical formation yet, as well as it hasn't contributed to the creation of more participative channel aiming to conquer democratization of the local power in Altamira.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Práticas de cidadania em narrativas de professores de ciências: trabalho coletivo de ensino e de aprendizagem(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-07-16) TREVISAN, Inês; GONÇALVES, Terezinha Valim Oliver; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0496932429575513This research had as the main topic Altamira city, located on the western side of Pará state. It was accomplished with science teachers of public elementary schools and it had the main aims: i) identifying elements which are present in the pedagogical daily routine of the teachers who state that their teaching practices also aim to develop the pupils’ citizenship; ii) understanding the reasons which lead the educators to accomplish their activities according to the expectations. This is a qualitative paper, in the narrative manner, using semi-structured interviews as an investigative tool when getting oral information from the teachers who were interviewed. The participants of the research reveal a science teaching linked with the other fields of the knowledge seeking support and also participation of the school community. Some elements of the teaching practice are highlighted, such as: i) Reflexive teaching practice, developing the auto formation of the professionals by knowing their pedagogical activities as an act of knowledge and also understanding its political, ethical, aesthetic and also epistemological importance. ii) Active participation on school forums in which several actions of the educational process are planned through discussions of different subjects and exchange of experiences. iii) Creation and execution of theme projects that boost scientific literacy through exploration of socio-environmental ways of teaching and learning which develop the interaction between the school and the community as well as the public comprehension of the science. iv) Democratization of the school space that happens in several ways with participation and socialization of science activities such as school science fair, school gardening and vegetable garden. v) Partnership, which is established as a way of sharing responsibility about graduating and educating in order to establish a connection between the science and the common sense. vi) Attitude as content which is expressed in the teachers practices that lead the students to have good consciousness and a change in their behavior. vii) Empathy, something which might be done by the local community and can reach a big dimension, it is an act of seeing the people as your fellow man. viii) The care about the pedagogical subject, seeking ways of educating beyond the school subject itself. A pedagogical and well structured practice which considers the human point of view and is also concerned about their role in the world. These elements allow the creation of three educational principles related to learning, since the intention of teaching science, in the big majority of the interviews is based on giving intellectual conditions to students in order to understand natural and technological processes which are present in their lives as well as to make the students become responsible people for their roles in the world.
