Desafios da governança do espaço urbano na era do Antropoceno, e o caso das inundações e alagamentos em Belém-PA

The present article aims to contextualize the challenges of urban space governance in the anthropocentric period, correlating with the case of floods, and drainage problems in the city of Belém. Literature on the concept of anthropocene was cited, which guided the discussion in the multidisciplinarity of the concept, and also its importance for the context of political governance. In addition, literature on physical geography was cited in order to conceptualize the events denominated as floods, and drainage problems, as well as to base the conception of anthropogenic activity as a central element in the genesis of events. The results point out that anthropogenic activity is responsible for a large part of the problem of socio-environmental risks in urban spaces, and especially in Belém. In addition, the Anthropocene era demands the advance of mechanisms of political governance, especially in urban spaces.
