This dissertation is configurated as a research about manifestations of regional culture in school context. This work aims, in a general way, to analyse the educative practices of the teachers of Cycle 1 and 2 from the Liceu Escola de Artes e Ofícios “Mestre Raimundo Cardoso” related to cultural manifestations of state of Pará developed in a elementar school context as a pedagogical aspect. From this main objective, was emerged the following specific objectives: to investigate the culture concept of teachers; to investigate if the cultural manifestations of Pará are used in classrooms and in what way; to describe the contribuitions of state of Pará regional’s culture in educational process. We have identified that most of professors understand culture as a more wide process, which can desconsiderate the uniqness of students as producers of culture. To develop this research we used the theories of the following scholars: Geertz (2001; 2014; 2015), Mello (20015), Laraia (2000), Moreira & Tadeu (2013), the National Curricular Parameters (1997), the Universal Declaration of Cultural Diversity of United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (2002), among others Regarding the scientific methodology, it is a study with qualitative, bibliographical, descriptive, explanatory approach, configurated as a case study. The subjects of this research are seventeen teachers of cycles 1 and 2 from the school, our research field. The apparatus used to collect datas was a questionaire, applied to teachers, and the analysis procedure was guided from a content analysis. We present in a short way some concepts of culture, education and curriculum. In this research we realized the necessity of innovative practices that considerate a multi and intercultural approach to work with regional culture in school.

Por uma educação antropológica: comparando as idéias de Bronislaw Malinowski e Paulo Freire

This article analyses the ideas of Malinowski and Paulo Freire proposing some proximities between anthropology and pedagogy. Among the possibilities resulting from such a meeting, one certainly deserves special attention: the recommendation that anthropologists and teachers should always respect the community knowledge previously acquired by students and "natives" as the real starting point for the construction of science. In this way, it is possible to consider that in both disciplines knowledge be associated with a respect for alterity, a lesson they must share not only with other disciplines, but especially with the wider community.
