Avaliação da perda hídrica e hábitos de hidratação de atletas universitários de futsal competitivo
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-10) SEPEDA, Tayana Patrícia Aleixo; MENDES, Rodrigo Conceição; LOUREIRO, Ligiane Marques
Introduction: In futsal, there is a large production of sweat with consequent loss of fluid and electrolytes. Such loss can cause various organic disorders including dehydration, capable of compromising performance during exercise and harm health. Objective: To assess the water loss and hydration habits of college athletes of competitive futsal. Methods: Data were collected on two non-consecutive trainings (A and B), in which the variations of weight of 17 male athletes pre- and post-workout were checked. Specific formulas have been used for the evaluation of variations. The athletes drank 360 ml of water 40 minutes before training, and other liquid intake and urinary excretion were not allowed. Hydration habits were identified through a questionnaire containing objective questions related to the topic. Results: The water loss during training A was 1.02 ± 0.28 kg and during training B was 1.18 ± 0.44 kg, corresponding in percent dehydration of 1.40 ± 0.38% and 1.59 ± 0.56%, respectively. There was a significant difference between sweating rate of training A and training B (p < 0.0474). The whole group (100%) used to hydrate during trainings and competitions; 52.95% showed indifference to the type of beverage ingested; water is the most consumed hydrating solution (100%), followed by natural juice (88.23%) and coffee (76.47%). The most important symptoms of the dehydration were intense thirst (88.23%), feeling of loss of strength (82.35%) and fatigue (82.35%). Conclusion: The evidenced water loss in training was significant, as it implies the beginning of dehydration. Most athletes have inadequate hydration habits, especially when compared to the level of understanding of the subject. It is suggested the strengthening guidance and establishment of strategies aimed at ratifying the seriousness of the matter and mitigate potential risks associated with heat.

Burnout e Coping em Atletas de Voleibol: uma análise longitudinal
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-08) PIRES, Daniel Alvarez; BARA FILHO, Maurício Gattás; DEBIEN, Paula Barreiros; COIMBRA, Danilo Reis; UGRINOWITSCH, Herbert
Introduction: In the context of sports, one of the main recommendations for a better understanding of burnout syndrome and coping is to carry out longitudinal studies that describe the process of development of the syndrome, and the strategies used for its prevention and control. Objectives: To analyze perceptions of the dimensions of burnout and coping strategies during a sporting season, and to correlate the temporal characteristics of burnout and coping strategies. Methods: Through a longitudinal design, the study included 15 male volleyball professional athletes (aged 24.00 ± 3.55 years) participating in the Superliga Nacional (Brazilian Volleyball Super League). Each participant completed the translated versions of the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire and Athletic Coping Skills Inventory. Data were collected in four stages of a sporting season. The behavior of the burnout and coping indicators were verified by the Friedman test, with the Wilcoxon post hoc test, and Spearman’s correlation coefficient (rho) was used to verify the correlations between the burnout and coping indicators. Results: A significant increase was observed in sport devaluation and overall levels of burnout as the season progressed, but there were no significant differences in the use of coping strategies at all four times. Significant inverse correlations were observed between the dimension burnout, reduced sense of sport accomplishment, and the coping strategy, confidence/motivation at all four times of the season. Conclusion: The results show an increase in the perception of burnout in the athletes with the build-up of training and competition, as well as the requirement for optimal performance in the main competition. The study also showed the importance of the motivational factor in the emergence of burnout.

Determinantes do ganhar ou perder em humanos: um estudo com atletas de judô
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-02-17) CAMPOS, Ítalo Sérgio Lopes; GOUVEIA JUNIOR, Amauri; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1417327467050274
In the sports environment experiences of success or failure are often experienced by different individuals in the most varied environments. Attempting to explain how an individual deals with victory or defeat in behavioral terms will depend on a number of factors, including athlete's history, status (environment), fitness (ability to perform), and athletic maturity). The general objective of the thesis was to systematize a theoretical model about the determinants of winning and losing in judo. For this purpose, we sought to verify (through documentary analysis) if results of previous fights are decisive for the maintenance of subsequent victories and / or defeats; in sequence the study analyzed judo from a competition situation seeking to describe in real time, possible quantitative and qualitative interactions of the fight. According to the design of this study, it was evidenced that the ability (performance related to fight), allied to athlete's athletic maturity (experience in the modality) were the factors that most potentiated the process of winning or losing. This assertion is based on the results of articles published from the construction of the thesis, that is, sports determine and condition morphofunctional characteristics that are related to the demands of the sports environment; Athletes' previous experiences (victory or defeat) can determine subsequent results even in a short space of time; The training time and the morphofunctional factors are strong determinants for the outcome of the fights. These data corroborate and signal that the trainability seems to be one of the factors that differentiates winners and losers in the results obtained in this study.

Efeito do ganhar ou perder nos niveis de raiva e ansiedade em lutadores de judô
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-02-17) ARDILA, Héctor Andrés Páez; GOUVEIA JUNIOR, Amauri; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1417327467050274
Aggression is a behavior that involves a simultaneous activation of physiological, biochemical, neurological and behavioral components and emotions, such as anxiety and anger. In humans, sports can be considered as a form of display because they allow aggression to be expressed with a low probability of permanent damage to subjects. The competitions have been used as models to evaluate the activation produced by the different stages of competition, such as the outcome of the combat. Judo has been used as a model of competitive aggression to evaluate the different body responses in agonistic behaviors in humans, since it offers a context like those studied in animal fights. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of win / lose in the levels of anger and anxiety in regional judo fighters, male, linked to the Para Federation of Judo, Using the STAXI and IDATE psychometric scales, as well as comparing these results with the Brazilian general population and a correlation analysis to know the differences between the different components with the number of strokes, using a pre/post fight evaluation and the filming of the fights. Differences were found between winners and losers, as well as between fighters and the Brazilian population; The losers presented higher levels of anger, while the anxiety was greater for the winners.

Football is one of the most widespread sports in the world. The female audience is gaining greater relevance. Mental health is an integral dimension of athlete well-being and performance and cannot be separated from physical health. The effects of stress, anxiety and depression in athletes can be severe and disabling. The assessment and management of mental health in athletes should be accessible for early intervention and improvement of the quality of the sporting environment. Thus, this research aimed to analyze the influence of age, education and paid activity on the perception of levels of stress, anxiety and depression in female soccer players. Data collection took place during the Paraense Women's Football Championship with 89 athletes. The athletes answered a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Portuguese versions of the following instruments: Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Data analysis was performed using the GraphPad Prism 9.5.1 software. To correlate age, schooling and paid activity outside football with stress levels, the Fisher's exact test was used. To correlate age, education and paid activity outside of football with levels of anxiety and depression symptoms, Pearson's chi-square test was performed. The significance index used was p<0.05. Age and education showed no correlation with the perceptions of the psychological variables analyzed in this study. The presence of paid activity outside of soccer interfered only with the perception of moderate anxiety symptoms (p= 0.0471). When analyzing perceptions of stress, anxiety and depression in female soccer players, there is no difference in variability related to age and education. The presence of paid activity is a factor that deserves attention because it influences the perception of moderate anxiety in female soccer players, despite not interfering with the perceptions of stress and depression.
