    Base de dados de informações jornalísticas sobre a Amazônia: ciência, tecnologia e meio ambiente – BDIJAm: em busca da qualidade

    This paper presents the evaluation of quality of the Database of Press Information about Amazon: Science, Technology and Environment (Brazilian acronym: BIDJAm). This study is part of the project “Amazonian Themes: Annotated Reports and Information Quality about Science, Technology and Environment”, proposed by Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Such data was obtained by the application of a questionnaire submitted to its users aiming at identifying positive aspects and possible gaps in the service. Main results pointed to the relevance of themes in the database as well as to the need of developing actions in order to improve the structure for information recovery. In conclusion, this present study realized that all database must be continuously improved as for BDIJam users consider it of great relevance to society as a tool of preservation of Amazon´s social memory.

    Desenvolvimento de monitoração na geração fotovoltaica em comunidades isoladas

    Nowadays, photovoltaic solar energy represents a significant portion of all electricity consumed in the world. It is crucial to develop tools for monitoring the solar system that aim to maintain generation productivity and mitigate security risks. This work presents a proposal for a development platform for monitoring photovoltaic generation for isolated communities, consisting of generation simulation, data transmission, database and supervisory system. The mathematical model used in the simulation is based on a system being implemented by the Automation Technology Group (GTA) at the Electrical Engineering Laboratory of the UFPA University Campus in Belém. Data are obtained by simulation and are transmitted to the cloud through a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller. The computer, in addition to performing the simulation to obtain photovoltaic generation data, also accesses the clouds, acquiring data for the supervisory. The supervisory system is developed on the Internet of Things (IoT) platforms Thingspeak and Cloud Database, allowing the detection and diagnosis of failures. Measures such as solar radiation intensity, temperature, humidity, electric voltage and electric current are analyzed in order to diagnose faults. Through cloud computing, data is stored and made available in real time, with ample capacity and mobility, allowing remote monitoring of the system. Database tools with dedicated interfaces are used, as well as platforms focused on the internet of things. The photovoltaic generation is being implemented in an experimental bench, and the parameters of the simulated model have the same amplitudes as the real model, which has 1 solar panel with a maximum power of 130W, a maximum voltage of 17.6V and a maximum current of 7.39A. The perspective of this work is to improve the supply of electricity to isolated communities through remote monitoring of the generation system, with social and economic impact.

    Efeito da adição de agregados reciclados na resistência ao cisalhamento de vigas de concreto armado

    The present work evaluates the influence of the incorporation of recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) on the shear strength of beams in reinforced concrete. An experimental analysis composed of twelve beams will be performed: four executed with conventional concrete (composed of natural aggregates) and eight with RAC. The experiment aims to evaluate the influence of the transverse reinforcement (ρw) and the variation of the longitudinal reinforcement ratio (ρl), on the shear strength of the parts. The concrete beams were divided into two groups, with RCA rates varying from 0 to 100%. In addition, three codes will be discussed: ACI 318 (2014); EUROCODE 2 (2004); NBR 6118 (2014) and MODEL CODE (2010), which will be applied to a concrete beams database (DB) with RCA. The performance of these codes will be evaluated through the parameter λ, by means of the relation between the ultimate experimental load (Vexp) and the theoretical ultimate load (Vteo), λ = Vexp / Vteo. This parameter was analyzed according to the level of conservatism and related to the main variables of this research: ρl, ρw and AGRC. The value of λ is analyzed according to the level of conservatism.

It describes its general goals and the basic premises of conception, as well as the operational structure organized as a descentralized cooperative network. It relates also the InformAM experience performing as a National Coodinator Center of the Siamaz in Brazil, as well as the resources for the implementation and the development of the system.

    The analysis of shear strength in concrete beams involves significant complexities and iteration between parameters. The development of models for the design and verification of the ultimate limit state of beams began in the 19th century with empirical, theoretical and numerical models such as the Ritter-Mörsch truss analogy and the modified compression field theory. However, the almost stochastic ratios of compressive strength of concrete, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, loading slenderness, transverse dimensions and coarse aggregate diameter add up to numerous difficulties in creating simple and easily applicable formulas. Thus, the present work aims to develop a model based on proportionality relations and the application of an iterative algorithm to optimize the values of an initial database of 220 beams (62 authors) that failure by shear and define a theoretical model that will be compared with a database of 510 beams (63 authors) and other methods of calculation of relevance. The proposed formula provided a coefficient of variation of 6.23%, being between 34.97% and 59.52% lower than the models analyzed. Thus, the results of the proposed method, when considering the experimental and theoretical relationship of the database, present all values within the appropriate safety range, allowing greater accuracy in defining the ultimate load of concrete beams without stirrups.

    The present work discusses, through experimental and statistical analyzes, to estimate and evaluate behavior of reinforced concrete beams with stirrups. First, the research presents the main models of shear stress in beams and NBR 6118 (2014) and ACI 318 (2014) that adopt the Ritter-Mörsch lattice as a basis for design and evaluation of the ultimate stresses. However, restrict the compressive strength between 50 MPa and 69 MPa and the steel flow stress between 500 and 420 MPa and become conservative because they exclude several preponderant parameters from the estimation of the ultimate loads in beams, such as size effect, longitudinal reinforcement rate, mode load and aggregate gearing, causing inaccuracy in the verification of parts in their ultimate limit state. Based on an extensive literature, a database of beams that broke through diagonal traction shear (19 authors and 170 pieces) was created. Estimating through univariate regressions, a method that inserts the parameters neglected in the norms. To consolidate the efficiency of this methodology, experimental and theoretical tensions values were compared with the objective of statistically evaluating the methodologies, relating the accuracy and accuracy of the results. For the second stage, an experimental program was proposed with the purpose of verifying and evaluating the estimates of ZSUTTY (1971), RUSSO et al. (2013), the norms and the proposed model. Composed of 07 beams duly sized to shear rupture, the tests followed from 01 reference beam that served as comparative model between 03 groups with 02 beams each being these groups varying the transverse reinforcement ratio, width and useful height. Consequently, the results had a conservative relationship, determined by the greater area mobilized between the interfaces of the shear plane, besides the model to better express the experimental estimates, relating accuracy, accuracy and appropriate safety

    Sistema de informações geográficas aplicado à gestão da bacia do Caeté – nordeste paraense

    The northeastern of Pará state is one of primal centers of people and products convergence in this state. It contains the highest concentration of urban centers, and is a zone of intense agricultural activity with an advanced process of deforestation. The need for greater knowledge about of the watershed is evident, mostly because for they constitutes planning and implementation unites for a public policies, subsidized by studies, which transcends the scope of purely scientific. In Caeté watershed, located in the NE of the state, agricultural and livestock activities have been practiced with major intensity since the beginning of the century XX, which causes an environmental degradation. The primal objective of this study was an organization of a geographic database with focus on physical environment to add to an environmental diagnoses and the management of this watershed. Using the techniques of remote sensing and geoprocessing for the multitemporal analysis of use and cover of the land; the integration of this with different components of the physical environment (geology, geomorphology, pedology, precipitation, hydrometers and sedimentology); elaboration of maps of agricultural suitability of the lands and natural soil loss vulnerability and building a geodatabase. The morphometric analysis of the basin showed a low probability floods due to: the elongated shape of the basin; 57.6% of its area has flat topography; 50.1% of the basin have dispersive forms of the land. The analysis of the flow, in m³/s, using the Doppler effect (ADCP) showed values of 8.06 in the Arraial do Caeté station, 34.14 in the Tentugal station and 87.45 in the Nova Mocajuba station, for the month of June, while, for the month of September, the flow was 2.79 in the Arraial do Caeté station, 12.09 in the Tentugal station and 33.72 in the Nova Mocajuba station. The calculation of precipitation based on an interpolation of the stations Primavera, Capanema, Nova Timboteua, Ourém, Santa Luzia do Pará and Emboraí showed larger concentration in the mid-north portion of the basin, which presents rainfall between 400 and 450 mm/month. From the integrated analysis of the data of flow and precipitation is observed that the highest values of flow and precipitation occur in forested areas, while the lowest values are observed in areas with large amounts of exposed soil. This occurrence is because the flow tends to be less in upstream direction and in this portion of the basin is where founded a most propitious relief for agricultural practices which had been developed with major intensity during the process of occupation of the watershed. The permanent preservation areas occupy 4.6% of the basin and of these 37.8% is in disagreement with current environmental legislation. The increase identified in the vegetation index (NDVI) for the past 10 years, demonstrated a direct relationship with rainfall during the drier seasons. The watershed showed homogeneity in relation to agricultural suitability. It was observed that the main restricting factor at the management B was the fertility deficiency. In concerning of loss of soil natural vulnerability it was observed that the watershed in question is fairly stable, showing predominant values of vulnerability between 1.8 to 2.2. The generation of the database allowed the analysis of the maps produced and the concerned areas could be observed in more detail. Thus, the data will be available to the society to be used for the benefit of development of the region and with the possibility of update the data as new knowledge and technologies are acquired.

    Now thanks to the exponential evolutionary process of the hardware equipments, mainly the related to storage of data, it is possible to store enormous amounts of data, of all possible types, in a centralized base and/or distributed. There are some a little years ago was known what to do with such amount of stored data, in the days you act is known already that the organization that best to dominate the coming information of the is half that more chance will have to be well happened. Based on the mentioned premises is necessary that the responsible for the take of decision use tools of information visualization to aid in the ruling process, doing with that the same if turns more reliable, fast, intuitive and accurate. The information visualization uses techniques of data presentation with the objective of turning them more perceptible and intuitive for the user, however when there is need to present great amounts of data, the visualization is prejudiced for several reasons. To resolve this visualization problem, the use of the Virtual Reality (VR) if it turns essential due to the possibility that this interface provides just as interaction and navigability, characteristics that turn the most productive and interesting visualization. However, usually the ruling of decision is not made by a single person, and the tools in his great majority are mono-users, harming the ruling decision, mainly if the people are distant some of the other ones. With a collaborative environment of data visualization, it is possible to discuss on the same vision of data decreasing the time and unnecessary misunderstandings to the ruling decision. This work has for aim project and implementation a tool of information visualization in an environment three-dimensional virtual collaborative to aid the user in the ruling decentralized decision. Therefore it was used in the development of this characteristic tool of the areas of Database, Information Visualization and Collaborative Virtual Environments.
