Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise bibliométrica da produção científica das pós-graduações do NAEA e NUMA relacionado à temática recursos naturais na Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-25) NEVES, João Paulo Pastana; SANTOS JUNIOR, Roberto Lopes dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3355963647616547Bibliometric analysis of the dissertations defended in the postgraduate program in sustainable development of the moist tropic (PPGDSTU) and the postgraduate program in natural resource management and local development in the Amazon (PPGEDAM) at the Federal University of Pará. It aims to identify the main research currents linked to the access of natural resources. The research is characterized as quantitative, descriptive and bibliometric, from the survey of the dissertations in the online portals of the programs (PPGDSTU and PPGEDAM), Institutional Repository of UFPA (Riufpa), and on the Curriculum Lattes Platform. The year of defense analysis, research themes and more productive researchers were selected, presenting the main research strands and offering a "state of the art" in the scientific production of PPGDSTU and PPGEDAM. It was used as research tools: a) The software VOSviewer to identify the main thematic trends of postgraduate programs analyzed; b) The Wordclouds.com software in order to elaborate clouds of keywords, aiming at mapping the most used terms and discussed in the analyzed dissertations, and c) The Software Gephi to view the scientific collaboration network between teachers and tasks of the programs. The first year of defense of each program was adopted until 2018. It was found that so PPGEDAM as PPGDSTU have 172 dissertations produced between 2009 to 2018 while PPGDSTU / NAEA has 254 dissertations between 1987 to 2018 and, as for teachers which more guided in the PPGDSTU, 39 guiders were counted, while in PPGEDAM, has 27. It is concluded that research carried out in these programs through the natural resources theme in the Amazon, have been contributing to a more sustainable and predatory planet of predatory actions. It is also suggested the stimulus of collaborative partnerships between programs, creating academic master's incentives at PPGEDAM and Professional Master in PPGDSTU, in which it will contribute to the increase in the productivity of the institution. It is also suggested the implementation of research fueling scholarships to improve the performance of the programs, thus avoiding the oscillation of scientific productivity.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise bibliométrica na produção científica em saúde: um estudo no Instituto de Ciências da Saúde (ICS) da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-02-27) ALBUQUERQUE, Anézia Eugênia dos Santos Oliveira de; SANTOS JUNIOR, Roberto Lopes dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3355963647616547The general objective of the research was to analyze the scientific production of the Institute of Health Sciences (ICS) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) in Belém, from the survey of 172 dissertations defended in the Postgraduate Programs of Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brazil from 2010 to 2016. The specific objectives were: characterize the UFPA Graduate Health Programs, map the dissertation documents defended in the Graduate Programs, extract the metadata for standardization and measurement application and present the co occurrence networks of keywords and health research topics, as well as the guidelines. The theoretical framework of the research was delineated in the literature and concepts of scientific production and productivism, as well as bibliometric conceptions, as well as the importance of bibliometric indicators such as the use of keyword co-occurrence networks, and the laws from Bradford, Zipf and Lotka. Regarding its nature, this research is characterized as applied, whose approach was qualitative and quantitative, with emphasis on document analysis and measurement of scientific production in health. Documentary analysis used a bibliometric form with variables such as year of publication, author, title, advisor and keywords. The metadata was then organized into a sheet in the Excel spreadsheet editor, where the data was tabulated and processed in VOSviewer software, version 1.6.11. The analysis of dissertations on Health Science, especially Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences, made it possible to highlight in academic research the interdisciplinary thematic areas, verified by the following keywords: “Etidronic acid”, “Dental adhesives”, “Dentine”, “Orthodontics ”, “Medicinal plants”, “Oxidative stress”, “Antimicrobial activity”. The research identified that bibliometrics contributes to the process of evaluating scientific production in health studies, as it can organize, map, systematize and measure information in this field of study.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uma análise de cluster via CiteSpace a propósito da espectrometria WDXRF para geocientistas (2001-2021)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-08-17) CASTANHO, Rebeca Soares; PAZ, Simone Patrícia Aranha da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5376678084716817The present bibliometric analysis addresses the use of Wavelength Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (WDXRF) spectrometry in geochemical analysis to evaluate scientific trends over a twenty-year period, from 2001 to 2021, using the academic and free bibliometric tool, CiteSpace. For this purpose, 941 international scientific articles involving WDXRF were collected from the Web of Science (WoS) platform using the search terms "wdxrf" or "wavelength dispersive x-ray fluorescence". The data analysis was divided into two parts: the first part aimed to understand and interpret the quantitative aspects of the scientific production related to the technique, while the second part involved a co-occurrence analysis of keywords from the retrieved works. Despite fluctuations, there has been a constant increase in the number of articles related to this spectrometry technique, with 2020 being the year with the highest productivity in the historical series (105 publications). The United States of America leads the country rankings (110 articles); however, the relatively homogeneous distribution of these studies reveals that WDXRF is a widely disseminated technique worldwide. Brazil ranks among the top ten most influential countries in this field, occupying the eighth position with 59 publications. The journal X-Ray Spectrometry, with 82 articles, stands out as the primary venue for the dissemination of research on this analytical technique. In total, 569 keywords were found, connected by 2002 co-occurrence links. The term "trace element" denotes a solidified but always relevant interest in the use of WDXRF for this level of chemical analysis. On the other hand, "nanoparticle" is the keyword with the highest citation explosion over the past two decades, particularly between 2015 and 2021, highlighting a more recent trend in the elemental characterization of nanostructured compounds. The CiteSpace program identified 13 thematic groups, with five being the most notable in the application of this instrumentation: nanomaterial characterization (cluster #0), trace-level heavy metal analysis (cluster #1), chemical speciation (cluster #2), analysis of particulate matter on filters (cluster #5), and provenance of historical ceramics (cluster #6). In summary, it can be concluded that the chemistry of geological materials does not constitute a narrowly defined body of studies concerning WDXRF. Instead, it represents a scientific frontier that expands through interdisciplinary approaches, providing new and integrated methodological approaches to geoscientific research for those who delve into this technique.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) O impacto da obra de j. B. Watson na psicologia norte americana (1903-1923): citações a outros autores como parâmetros quantitativos de comparação(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-01-13) SARAIVA, Fernando Tavares; ARAÚJO, Saulo de Freitas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3032433208056386; CARVALHO NETO, Marcus Bentes de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7613198431695463In the historiography of psychology, the impact of J. B. Watson's work is a topic that has generated discussion and research, some of which use bibliometric analysis as method. These studies, however, do not adopt comparative parameters that may indicate more precisely the impact degree of the author's work. This research seeks to fill this gap through two comparative bibliometric studies between citations to Watson's work and citations to other relevant psychologists from the early twentieth century: Edward B. Titchener, Edward Thorndike, William James, James R. Angell, Harvey A. Carr and John Dewey. The first study is a comparative bibliometric analysis between citations to Watson, Titchener, Thorndike and James in five important American journals, from 1903 to 1923 - a decade before and a decade after the publication of Behaviorist Manifesto (1913). The second study is an extension of the first, adding three authors to its search scope - Angell, Carr and Dewey - and three other relevant periodics from that period. The research's results indicate that, although it can not properly be taken as a revolutionary landmark, Watson’s work had, in the first decade after the publication of the Behaviorist Manifesto, an impact similar to Dewey's, Titchener's structuralism and Thornsdike's associationism, greater than Angell's and Carr's functionalism, although still distant from James’s influence.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Inserção e visibilidade da produção científica da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) na literatura internacional : uma análise na base Scopus (2014-2018)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-01-20) GOMES, Layane Rayssa Gaia; BERRÍO-ZAPATA, Cristian; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0976534900847907; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7314-6487This research is a case study that aimed to analyze the insertion and visibility of scientific production at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) in mainstream science, as a contribution to understanding the mechanisms implicit in the generation and construction of knowledge in a peripheral region international and national scientific system. The research carried out a bibliometric and diachronic scientometric analysis to measure the insertion of UFPA's production in mainstream science, based on the bibliographic database Scopus, as a representative of international literature. The dominant communication vehicles and their impact indicators were identified; the languages of publication; the research areas most covered; citation rates by research area and scientific collaboration networks, at meso (institutional) and macro (national) levels. The period analyzed was the five-year period 2014–2018. A high degree of productivity was observed for researchers in the Biological Sciences, Exact and Natural Sciences and Health Sciences, who also had the highest rates of scientific impact. However, the Social and Human Sciences had the highest growth rates, which denotes the dynamics of insertion and evolution of UFPA in mainstream science, which is characterized by publication in international scientific journals, with emphasis on the American and English dissemination channels. The collaboration took place to a greater extent with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) located in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil, which have the highest national productivity rates; and with central countries of the international scientific system, with emphasis also on the United States and the United Kingdom.Artigo de Evento Acesso aberto (Open Access) Racionamento de crédito às pequenas empresas: análise bibliométrica da produção científica nas duas primeiras décadas do século XXI(Universidade da Amazônia, 2020-11) BERNARDO, Whendeo da Silva; MOREIRA, Marcia AthaydeArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Resíduos de gesso na construção civil: um mapeamento bibliométrico na base de dados Web of Science(Universidade do Vale do Taquari, 2024) FREITAS, Pablo Virgolino; ISHIHARA, Júnior Hiroyuki; CORDEIRO, Luciana de Nazaré Pinheiro; VIEIRA, Geilma LimaThe present study aims to analyze the scenario relating to Brazilian and international scientific publications that deal with the reuse of gypsum plaster, carrying out a bibliometric mapping in the electronic database Web of Science (WoS) covering a period of twenty years, before and after CONAMA Resolution No. 431/2011, starting in 2001 and ending in 2020. Data collection began through exploratory research, where words and expressions were collected in abstracts and keywords from scientific productions related to the topic to create word clouds. In order to identify the scope of the three words identified as translations for gypsum plaster, an initial search was carried out in order to understand their return in numbers; then, search terms were created for searches for the three translations of the word gypsum, and a search term containing them all. The article data was exported to EndNote web, where the articles were selected, and later, using the VOSViewer software, bibliometric mapping was carried out. The database search identified 150 articles, of which 54 contained information on the recycling of gypsum waste, with the participation of 163 authors from 24 countries, the most representative being Brazil, with 13 publications. In the end, there is a lack of publications related to the topic, and that, despite some works published in relevant journals, research related to gypsum waste ends up alienating researchers due to the lack of work that supports new research, since the reference theory is essential for defining research hypotheses.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Resíduos de gesso na construção civil: uma análise bibliométrica na base de dados eletrônica Web of Science(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-11-05) FREITAS, Pablo Virgolino; ISHIHARA, Júnior Hiroyuki; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3498874642887006; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0081-7913The construction sector stands out for the exploitation of natural resources and for the production of residues that, in the vast majority, are improperly discarded in nature, generating serious negative consequences for the environment. Aiming to minimize the harm caused by the poor disposal of Construction and Demolition Waste - CDW, as well as to develop alternative ways to replace natural raw material by recycled waste, many studies have been carried out. Among the materials that have high recycling potential is gypsum, whose residues are already being used as a binder, additives in Portland cement, soil correction, among other forms of recycling. Therefore, this study aims to analyze Brazilian and international scientific publications dealing with the reuse of plaster in civil construction, performing a bibliometric mapping in the Web of Science electronic database. The mapping was carried out through exploratory research related to the reuse of gypsum waste in several scientific articles. Words and expressions that had the highest frequency of occurrence in published articles were collected. The search in the database resulted in 89 articles, of which 42 contained information on the recycling of gypsum waste in civil construction. The selected articles belong to authors from 19 countries, the most representative being Brazil, with 13 articles. Through the VOSviewer software, network maps were elaborated, through which it is demonstrated how authors and scientific institutions relate in relation to the recycling of plaster waste. The results of the articles studied here compose a portfolio through which effective methods of reusing this waste can be verified, thus facilitating the search by third parties for this type of information. What can help in the formulation of public mechanisms that help to improve solid waste management in Brazil, because, through the social network Instagram, this information will be made available in order to reach an audience that goes beyond academic borders.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Serviços ecossistêmicos por sistemas agroflorestais na Amazônia: uma análise bibliométrica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-28) CONCEIÇÃO, Thayná Karina da Silva; VASCONCELOS, Steel Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0719395243841543; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2364-8822Over the last few decades, ecological concepts and evolutionary biological theory have influenced proposals in the environmental movement. In this context, AFS agroforestry systems gain notoriety as an agroecological alternative, due to their socioeconomic benefits and the generation of ecosystem services. Following this reasoning, the objective of this study was to measure in qualitative values the contribution of SAFs to the nature of these services with a focus on sustainability, and on other benefits, also aligned with the broader socioeconomic context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of the 2030 agenda of the United Nations Organizations (UN). The studies aimed to qualitatively analyze aspects in which the SAFs were inserted. From the bibliographical survey with the use of research terms in the Web of Science database, then the curation of these data was carried out, presenting bibliometric metrics, such as maps, graphs and tables. With a total of 409 publications, and taking into account region and topic criteria, we reached a reduced number of articles of 134. These results show that interest in research in the agroforestry field has improved, but in a gradual and heterogeneous way. The most frequent ecosystem services were Support and Provision. This study can increase opportunities for future research, and suggest a qualitative analysis of the benefits of AFS that can contribute to generating ecosystem services in the Brazilian Amazon.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) O uso de compostos fenólicos na prevenção da doença de parkinson: análise bibliométrica e crítica dos 100 artigos mais citados da Web of Science e avaliação neuroprotetora do açaí (euterpe oleracea) em ratos wistar(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-12) SANTOS JUNIOR, José Messias dos; LIMA, Rafael Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512648574555468; HTTPS://ORCID.ORG/0000-0003-1486-4013; ROGEZ, Hervé Louis Ghislain; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5202118426597590; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8925-8881Parkinson's disease is characterized by the death of dopaminergic neurons with both motor and non-motor symptoms. The current treatment available does not prevent the progression of the disease and, therefore, new alternatives have been sought for its prevention. Phenolic compounds that are present in foods and beverages of plant origin have bioactivities including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity that may contribute to neuroprotection. The general objective of this thesis is to evaluate bibliometric parameters and experimental designs of the 100 most cited articles from WoS-CC on the use of phenolic compounds in Parkinson's disease and to carry out an in vivo laboratory study using Wistar rats exposed to açaí for 15 days before induction of Parkinson's disease-like symptoms through 6-hydroxydopamine. The 100 most cited articles in WoS-CC are predominantly from the Asian continent and China, EGCG and oxidative stress being the most evaluated compound and therapeutic target among the 100 studies. In vitro and in vivo laboratory studies represent approximately 70% of the list. The results demonstrated among the 100 articles are due to concentrations and administration routes that do not resemble consumption through the diet. Pre-treatment with açaí increased GSH levels and decreased MDA levels, in addition to preventing damage to spontaneous locomotion. The results suggest the neuroprotective potential of açaí related to its composition of phenolic compounds.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Variáveis físicas, químicas e microbiológicas da água de consumo humano no Brasil: análise cienciométrica de produção científica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-04) PEREIRA, Jorge Luiz da Silva; BRASIL, Danielle Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1079820233532683; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6404-1731; JUEN, Leandro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1369357248133029; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6188-4386; SILVA, Karina Dias da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2271768102150398; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5548-4995Water is an essential and fundamental substance for life, whose quality is directly related to the appearance of various diseases. The water quality supplied to the population can be evaluated by physical, chemical and microbiological parameters. This study aimed to evaluate the increase in knowledge water quality for human consumption in Brazil using the scientometric method. A systematic search for information was carried out in the Scielo, Scopus, Web of Science and Google academic databases. We seek to evaluate the physical, chemical and microbiological water quality for human consumption in Brazil through a systematic literature review. We obtained 843 concatenated articles, of which 62 articles met inclusion criteria. There was an investigation of the water quality in 10 sources of water abstraction, 20 numbers of species of microorganisms were classified, being 15 species of bacteria and 6 of protozoa, were Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp, and for protozoa Giardia spp. were the most frequent. The variables that most favor the environment for the emergence of pathogenic microorganisms found in the studies were: Dissolved Oxygen (DO), hydrogenic potential (pH), Nephelometric Turbidity Unit (UNT), Electrical Conductivity (EC), Temperature (T) and Demand Oxygen Biochemistry (BOD). The Northeast region presented variables with higher values than expected, as well as the highest number of publications. Although we have detected an increase in the number of studies, some questions such as demographic aspects, socioeconomic conditions and environmental health still remain unanswered and are important questions to be considered in future studies.
