Digital accessibility on university library websites ensures the right and autonomy in accessing information on the web for everyone, especially people with disabilities, which is provided for in several laws. Given this panorama, the research problem is: “Does the homepage of the UFPA Central Library website meet the accessibility requirements for W3C web content, allowing blind people using NVDA to access the information contained therein”? For this, the general objective was outlined: To analyze the digital accessibility of the homepage of the Central Library of UFPA, with regard to access to information, taking as parameters the accessibility guidelines for web content (WCAG) 2.1 and the user experience blind in interacting with the web using the NVDA screen reader. The specific objectives were: a) Identify items that compromise the accessibility of the homepage of the UFPA Central Library website, pointed out by the automatic evaluator WAVE; b) Check the browsing experience of the blind user using NVDA with the homepage of the BC / UFPA website, accessing information about the products and services available; c) Verify the compliance of the accessibility guidelines for web content 2.1 according to the results of the WAVE evaluation and tests with blind users using NVDA. This research had as methodology a descriptive case study. A bibliographic and documentary research was carried out, followed by an analysis of the digital accessibility of the homepage of the UFPA Central Library website, with the application of three evaluation methods: automatic with the WAVE software, tests with blind users using NVDA and a satisfaction interview. The results showed that the digital accessibility of the BC / UFPA website's homepage is compromised in the perceptible, operable, understandable and robust aspects. The WAVE software identified accessibility errors that prevent access to information about digital products and services through images without alternative text, decorative images without null, images used as links without proper description, empty links, forms and buttons without labels. Tests with blind students ratify the errors pointed out by WAVE and also show problems of digital accessibility related to usability, information architecture, good accessibility practices, proficiency in the use of NVDA, lack of predictability and clarity, among others. Causing users disorientation, giving up, discouragement, tiredness etc. It is concluded that analyzing the digital accessibility of the BC / UFPA website homepage was fundamental to verify the technological and human aspects necessary to guarantee democratization and autonomy in access to information from university library sites to blind students, who will automatically attend other categories of students. users. Attitudinal accessibility, WCAG attendance is necessary for the development of digital products and services with the perception of the disabled user so that they can meet their specificities of navigation, perception, understanding, operation, interaction, contribution and access to information on the web.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) #BORAPROCURAR: conjunto de cartas didáticas para auxiliar no desenvolvimento de habilidades para busca informacional em bibliotecas universitárias(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-08-25) VARANDA, Francisca Moreira de Sousa; LOPES, Suzana Cunha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9267654589941610; ELIASQUEVICI, Marianne Kogut; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6655468164115415This dissertation demanded the development of the educational product “#boraprocurar: a deck of didactic cards for informational search at university libraries”, aiming to answer the following guiding question: “How to assist users in the development of skills for informational search in catalogs and collections of university libraries?”. This answer is linked to the achievement of the main goal outlined, which is to assist in the development of skills for informational search in catalogs and collections of university libraries, with the help of a deck of didactic cards divided into phases, having as reference the context of the Central Library of the Federal University of Pará (BC/UFPA). In the theoretical reference, we discussed the informational skills at libraries, highlighting, especially, the university library, and we described the locus of the research, the BC/UFPA. In order to characterize the public to which the educational product is intended, we brought data from the V National Survey of Socioeconomic and Cultural Profile of Undergraduate Students of Federal Institutions of Higher Education of the National Association of Directors of Federal Institutions of Higher Education (ANDIFES). The methodological procedures used were based on applied research, through a qualitative approach, divided into three phases. The first phase refers to contextual, bibliographic and documentary research, with the mapping of the libraries of the 14 largest universities in Brazil in numbers of students enrolled in the graduation, focusing on the users’ instructional materials of education. The next phase is inherent to exploratory research with observation of the informational search flow of BC/UFPA users and data collection with students from UFPA. Finally, the third phase concerns the survey of products and studies similar to the one proposed in this dissertation. For the development of the educational product, we established the following work stages: contextual research, design and elaboration of the deck of didactic cards, and product validation. This process resulted in the elaboration of the educational product, from its prototype to its final version, with a test carried out with students from UFPA. It is possible to affirm that the main objective has been reached, a fact attested by the positive answer to the guiding question of the study, which aimed to contributing to the continuous process of developing informational skills and learning of library users.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Competências informacionais em gestão de bibliotecas na Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-11-10) SANTOS, Ana da Silva; SIMONIAN, Ligia Terezinha Lopes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6620574987436911The aim of this dissertation is the information literacy of professionals who are library managers from the Library System of the Federal University of Pará. Which of these competences are already part of daily work and which one need to be developed by those managers? These were the questions that guided this study. The research was grounded in proceeding blending quantitative and qualitative approaches, conducted at first, as an exploratory study using a questionnaire addressed to those professionals – librarians and managers. Five of these librarians were interviewed, they were chosen by their representativeness and stage of development of these libraries, at this time using life history as methodology. All those data and its analysis allowed us to know who these managers have their competences, their profile, their most frequently difficulties, and their functions and work that they have developed and what resources or practices they use to build capacity and keep up to date in their position and profession. The results confirm the absence of a ground-work, even small one, to act as manager of libraries and indicate the needing to create training programs for information literacy for these professionals and thus fill the current lacks.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Planejando a biblioteca do século XXI: o caso do sistema de bibliotecas da UFPA(2002) PENA, Maria das Graças da Silva; SILVA, Luiz Otávio Maciel daItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Produtos e serviços oferecidos pela Biblioteca Central Prof. Clodoaldo Beckmann da UFPA: o que pensam os usuários?(Federação Brasileira de Associações de Bibliotecários, Cientistas da Informação e Instituições, 2017) COSTA, Elisangela Silva da; VIDAL, Suely ParaenseItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Serviço de referência em bibliotecas universitárias: em busca da eficiência pela gestão da informação e do conhecimento(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-12) PINHEIRO, Williams Jorge Correa; SANTOS, Caio Tobit Carvalho dos; SANTOS, Carla Marques do; LIMA, Claudia Cristina Carmo; SAMPAIO, Cristiane Aniceto; SANTOS, Daniela Araújo; PANTOJA, Derivan Alves; DIREITO, Eduardo R.; SOUSA, Eliane Costa de; MAIA, Élida Lopes Maia; NASCIMENTO, Maria de N.
