Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Prevalência da síndrome de Burnout entre entregadores ciclistas de aplicativo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-04) SILVA, Ayara Letícia Bentes da; RAMOS, Camila Carvalho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4681656913940932Changes in the labor market, combined with the intensification of competition and the relaxation of labor laws, have brought new risks to workers' health and organizational productivity. This competitive and dynamic environment can often lead to professional illness with psychological illnesses such as: depression, panic syndrome, anxiety disorders and Burnout Syndrome (BS). In this era of technological advancement, a work arrangement that is emerging as a trend in society is the “Gig Economy”. There is a focus of research on this economy that investigates how service provision works based on digital platform commands, with a lack of studies focusing on the health and quality of life of these workers. This scenario, added to the high number of professionals away from their work suffering from Burnout Syndrome, makes a study opportune to investigate the prevalence of the Syndrome in app cyclist delivery drivers, which is one of the professional categories present in this economy. The present study was developed through quantitative research with 159 cyclist delivery drivers who work through food and perishables apps. In this study, multiple linear regression analysis made it possible to examine the relationship between a dependent variable (Burnout) and five independent variables (age, daily working hours, lack of delivery driver training, lack of a place to rest and number of work accidents). It was found that the variables working hours per day and work accidents are predictors of Burnout Syndrome.
