In this sense, the objective is to discuss the reflexes of censorship in the professional practice of the librarian, presenting some conceptual frameworks, from the state of the art, through questioning and interpretative actions, knowledge variables on censorship practices and information dissemination in libraries. It is a theoretical and bibliographical research, since it seeks to discuss through indicative analysis the interpretative evidences, in the sense of finding clues in the process of information dissemination that compose the assumptions of censorship practice, from the explicit and implicit (veiled censorship) points of view. As a result, it is estimated that censorship lasts for time, in addition to camouflaging, thus appearing implicitly in places that should be reinforced against any traces that recall the censorial behavior. In the end, it is contextualized the librarian as an information professional, sworn in the freedom of scientific research and the dignity of the human person, has the responsibility and commitment to strive so that this oath is not only in theory but for the practice of our daily lives in libraries.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) A guerrilha do Araguaia: meios de comunicação contra-hegemônicos da Amazônia para a Europa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-03-22) RODRIGUEZ, Lorena de Meira; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248This study aims at reflecting on the role of counter-hegemonic media in the dissemination of news about the Araguaia Guerrilla in the international, national and regional dimensions and has as empirical objects of analysis the following alternative means of communication: Tirana radio (Albania), newspapers Brazilian Front of Information (1968- 1973) (Chile), Politique Hebdo (1970-1978 / 1982) and Liberatión (1973) (France), A Classe Operária (1925), O Araguaia (1974-1975), Coojornal (1976-1983) and Resistência (1983) (Brazil). For this purpose, we selected placements that approached the Guerrilla, being one of each medium, giving priority to the first identified according to the chronological order. These alternative media referres to the Araguaia Guerrilla, a movement of armed resistance to the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985) that took place between the 1960s and 1970s, in southeastern Pará, while it was still in progress and under the gag of the Brazilian State. The hypothesis is that even these mediums were produced at different scopes and locations, they were fed by one or more networks of information, concerned with publicizing the conflict. The problem that gave rise to this research was: how did Guerrilla news reach the international counterhegemonic media if the conflict was denied by the Brazilian Military Regime and was not reported in the official press at the time of its occurrence? In order to be able to unveil the object of study that has been missed, we look for fundamental concepts such as the one of hegemony proposed by Antonio Gramsci (1999), that approaches the domain of a group that holds financial and / or intellectual capital over another that holds The condition of oppressed, this alludes to counter-hegemony, here anchored by Denis de Moraes (2011). Other precepts were fundamental as the press censorship debated by Karl Marx (2006) at the international level, and by Beatriz Kushnir (2015) and Anne-Marie Smith (2000) at the national level. We also focus on the radical and alternative media that challenge the status quo, through John Downing (2002) and Cecilia Peruzzo (2006), among others. Therefore, for the Guerrilla, we studied the works of Fernando Portela (1986), Élio Gáspari (2002) and Paulo Fonteles Filho (2013) The research was relevant since it raised counter-hegemonic media that approached the subject of the Guerrilla and, nevertheless, had not been worked previously. In addition to the novelty, the study made us realize that, even though the national press was censored on the subject, the subject reached international vehicles, and these were fundamental for the conflict to be registered and legitimized. It was inferred that news was shared by information networks. The research was made using the qualitative techniques proposed by Ortez and Gonzáles and the techniques of content analysis proposed by Laurece Bardin (1979).Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Narrativas da censura informacional registrada sob a ótica historiográfica: apreciações a partir da influência do Terceiro Reich Alemão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-04) OLIVEIRA, Alessandra Nunes de; SILVA, Luiz Eduardo Ferreira da; CASTRO, Jetur Lima deThe article investigates the historiographical context of German Third Reich locating their ways of censorship, its influence with political propaganda Nazi and its climax with bücherverbrennung action (book burning) involving German libraries. It establishes itself as a theoretical approach of historical, bibliographic and documentary character, adopting the knowledge of evidence, evidencing the interpretative aspects of other forms of knowledge that share the clues and footprints through indirect knowledge. It presents the context of censorship in books from the historiographical narratives of the Third German Reich, highlighting the intention of Nazi intolerance, which was marked against freedom of expression and knowledge, propagated by propagandist strategies employed to influence adherents to practices of Nazi extremism. Rescues the memory of German librarians in your function were persecuted by the Nazi barbarism and, at the same time, captives of an outrageous regime on the achievements of their role as disseminators of knowledge and scientific aspects, technical and humanist.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) (Re)visitando o Estado Novo no Brasil: uma análise da censura e a difusão cultural dos livros nas bibliotecas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12) OLIVEIRA, Alessandra Nunes de; SILVA, Luiz Eduardo Ferreira da; CASTRO, Jetur Lima deThe article about the relations between censorship and the measures of implementation of the cultural dissemination of the books in the libraries, in the Estado Novo, in Brazil. It presents a theoretical approach of a historical, bibliographic and documentary nature, in which the indicium knowledge was adopted by which interpretative aspects of other forms of knowledge that share the clues and footprints through indirect knowledge are evidenced. Considerations are made on the development of the Instituto Nacional do Livro in libraries, under the influence of the Estado Novo, and the relation of censorship with the Departamento de Imprensa e Propaganda, which was connected to the interests of the government in relation to the expansion and dissemination of books. It is considered that the book and the reading were great efforts in the politics of Vargas in the Estado Novo, with the creation of Instituto Nacional do Livro, a dangerous act, in advertising, instanced in the name of morality and good manners and, as a result of censorship and repression of the freedom of expression of the great Brazilian authors, such as Jorge Amado, Monteiro Lobato, Cecilia Meireles and José Lins do Rego. Therefore, it is necessary to question, because there is still a tendency to the conservative vestiges, such as the ones from Estado Novo due to the usual traditions established in the work environments, the climate of vigilance in the institutions and the common policies in libraries.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Violência, censura e loucura: a semente de Gianfracesco Guarnieri(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-12) SARMENTO-PANTOJA, Carlos Augusto Nascimento
