Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas (ABP): identificação das dificuldades docentes para a utilização do método no curso de Engenharia Civil.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-08-28) SILVA, Sidnei Silva e; MACEDO, Alcebíades Negrão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8313864897400179; NEVES, Renato Martins das; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538317425557058The technical training of engineering teachers brings with it difficulty in mediating in an educational process way of building knowledge, which negatively influences student training. To minimize such effects, we used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) as an alternative. Therefore, this paper aims to present the difficulties identified in the teacher's perception for the use of the method in the civil engineering course through the construction of an implementation proposal in two disciplines in a public university of Marabá. The research is characterized as action research and was developed in eleven cycles proposed in the disciplines. These problems were built based on the contents offered for these subjects and a technical visit to a teaching institution that uses PBL as a curricular basis. Besides, we used observations of similar studies developed on the use of the PBL method. The results demonstrate the feasibility of using the technique, shown by the good acceptance of both the teacher and the students involved in the research. Besides that, we observed which the students have gotten excellent performance at the end of each discipline. However, some difficulties were found: the cultural elements, the curriculum, and the lack of some teaching skills as factors that can hinder the use of the PBL either by the student or by the teacher himself. From these results we concluded that the studies demonstrate the feasibility of using the method, however, essential elements present in the educational process would need to be enhanced so that the PBL could be fully used within the institution, such as teacher training, or curriculum-related issues could contribute to the development of the topic addressed in this study.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) A aprendizagem baseada em problemas (ABP): uma aplicação na disciplina “Gestão empresarial” do curso de Engenharia Civil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-10-25) MACAMBIRA, Paulo Marcelo Fecury; NEVES, Renato Martins das; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538317425557058The methodology of Problem-based Learning or PBL, unlike conventional methods of teaching is an approach which uses problems to close the gap between theory and practice in the learning process. In addition to encouraging the construction of knowledge, proposes to contribute to the development of some non-technical professional attributes considered important for the practice of engineering in a society in constant and rapid changes. This work, an action research, experienced and sought to analyze the efficiency of the method during its application in the Business Management course, taught to the students at the penultimate and last semester of undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering. Data for analysis were collected through participant teacher / tutor´s observations and through evaluation reports, in which students were asked about PBL, its advantages and disadvantages and their potential to achieve those goals. In the three case studies, although applied to different classes, show through the students´ reports and through a continuous assessment that the learning occurred as well as the knowledge and the development of some skills and attitudes targeted in the discipline, such as: research capacity, entrepreneurship development, methodological innovation and searching for knowledge. In general, students reacted positively to the BPL. This suggests that its applicability is possible in the contexts studied. The methodology also proved to be a useful tool for professional development for teacher regarding to his practice.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Caracterização dos agregados da região do baixo Amazonas: elaboração de traços para a produção de blocos de concreto estrutural(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-07-03) NEVES, Paulo Henrique Lobo; MACEDO, Alcebíades Negrão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8313864897400179With the growing demand for aggregates for the construction industry in the city of Santarém and surrounding cities, and with the emergence of construction processes still little known in the region, such as the use of concrete blocks, the need to develop an experimental research for verification arises insusceptible of the characteristics of aggregates to be used in order to study the feasibility of applying them to the production of concrete blocks with structural function, class B – 4,0MPa ≤ fbk <8.00 MPa. A complete characterization, identification of exploration areas with their distances to block production sites in the city Santarém was approached. With the results were developed traits with the dry mixture of aggregates depending on their characteristics seeking to optimize and better compactness thereof, to more economic traits and which give the final product a better finish and resistance. The experiment was developed from a standard feature used in the city's factories and which served as a benchmark for the other elaborate experimental features, complying with the steps below. In the first stage was carried out to identify the aggregate producing sources in the city of Santarém and surrounding areas. Following a second stage, held expeditions collecting and packaging the samples. For the latest steps were carried out the characterization tests being: Kids grain size and coarse aggregates, mass determination and specifies apparent, fine materials and abrasion Los Angeles. Later traces were designed with optimized framework in the ideal particle size range, with the production of concrete blocks with structural function of families 14x29 and 14x39. In the last step tests were performed to verify the dimensional analysis, absorption index and resistance to compression individual blocks. Prior knowledge of the aggregates and framed adequate mixing in the ideal particle size range provided the reduction in the consumption of cement and favored the final product quality improving all its performance parameters.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Desempenho acústico das edificações segundo a NBR 15575 (ABNT, 2013): desempenho das vedações e validação dos requisitos normativos com base na opinião dos usuários(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-03-18) SANTANA, Wylliam Bessa; PICANÇO, Marcelo de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4535052395600357With the growth of large urban centers in Brazil, the population density and the need for housing led to high demand for semi-detached homes and apartment houses with numerous apartments, however, with the passage of time they became the result of user complaints in consequence of the low performance of the buildings. The normalization of the performance of the buildings was necessary. Several international standards address the issue, but only in 2013 was published the Brazilian standard of buildings performance NBR 15575 (ABNT, 2013), stipulating among other things, requirements for acoustic performance of internal and external walls, and slabs about the noise impact and air. However, there are some questions, such as: does the current construction typology meet these performance acoustic criteria? Are these criteria suitable? Among to answer these questions, field tests and questionnaires were performed with residents. Among the seals whose acoustic performance is required, the results show the inner walls are more distant to meet these criteria, and the external meet with difficulty, even as perceived by users. About the regulatory requirements for acoustic performance, are significant the annoyed levels generated by impact loads on slabs, highlighting the low accuracy, and even more worrying that the latter is the fact in not require acoustic performance criteria regarding the impact noise between walls, highlighted by the vast majority of respondents as the main source of noise.
