Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise da aplicação de modelagem e simulação computacioal como apoio à tomada de decisão em processos produtivos industriais: estudo de caso em uma organização do segmento de duas rodas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-02-28) NOGUEIRA, Reginaldo Alves; OLIVEIRA, Roberto Célio Limão de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4497607460894318This study aims to analyze the resources and advantages of using modeling and computer simulation in industrial manufacturing processes as a tool to support the decision making. Thus, a case study was made at a motorcycle company located in Manaus’ Industrial Center, in which they used the software Tecnomatix® Plant Simulation. Initially, it was developed a simulation project, based on the industrial manufacture of a productive process of the variable support, an important item on the motorcycles production. This manufacture is known for its high complexity, due to the risks during its productive process. This dissertation also presents concepts related to the production management and the importance of decision making as well as the main definitions of modeling and computer simulation, with emphasis on Plant Simulation platform. Some other advantageous applications of using the modeling and computer simulation as tools have been identified, as we wrote this dissertation. However, we would rather make a restriction and just demonstrate the optimization of a manual productive process. After analyzing the simulation’s results, in multiple virtually modeled scenarios, taking into consideration the risk and productivity parameters, as well as having a systemic understanding of the situation, we considered the best option to organize would be the automated productive scenarios whose layouts allow greater interaction, flexibility, productivity and lower risk - providing the maximization of the desired results. Finally, from the analysis of the achieved results, as well as the relevant conclusions, it is easier to see clearly the advantages and resources of applying computer simulation as a support tool on the decision making in industrial manufacture processes.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aprimoramento do desempenho do controlador preditivo multivariável aplicado em coluna depropanizadora utilizando filtro de kalman(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-05-07) GOMES, Cássio Ferreira; MACEDO, Emanuel Negrão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8718370108324505The increase in the efficiency of industrial processes has been necessary in the present day, due to the high market competitiveness. In this context, techniques that seek to increase the performance efficiency of industrial plant control systems, minimizing costs and maximizing product quality, such as the use of Kalman Filter in process variables that feed control systems, has significant relevance. Kalman filter is a parameter estimation technique that allows, for linear systems, the reduction of noise and uncertainties that are subject to process variables. Its wide use is mainly due to the fact that the variables (information) that are obtained through the process, through physical instruments and measurement routines, have finite precision and are naturally corrupted by errors (random or coarse). These variables, when introduced into the control system, without the use of the Kalman Filter, carry all noise signals, reducing the performance of the control system. The aim of this work is to present the results of the Kalman Filter implementation in the industrial process, a propane generator column, controlled through a Predictive Controller, based on real data, in order to improve control performance and energy efficiency of this process. Simulation studies are performed on the MATLAB / SIMULINK platformTese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Carimbó: canal de retorno com interatividade condicionada por mecanismo de sinalização contínua e provisionamento de banda orientado QoS(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-12-15) COUTINHO, Mauro Margalho; FRANCÊS, Carlos Renato Lisboa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7458287841862567; COSTA, João Crisóstomo Weyl Albuquerque; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9622051867672434This doctoral thesis proposes a framework has controling and management the return network in Digital Television from four components: Digital Television Provider, Interactivity Terminal, Return Channel Provider, and Content Provider. Together, they interact based on a signaling mechanism that propagates QoS restrictions associated to the current interactive programming through the data carrousel system. The set of them also provide an admission control that investigates, periodically, the return channel status allowing or restricting the access according to the necessities of the interactive applications. Moreover, the system is so flexible that admit applications as in large scale as in small scale (local), thanks to the mobility of the service provider. An e-gov/e-health application was development in Xlet Java to evaluate the performance of the system. The performance analysis was proceeded using measurement and modeling techniques according to the system scale. In the last mille, some technologies of low cost and without periodically billing were tested such as wireless local area network. In large scale, the system was evaluated in different scenarios by means of simulation using the Network Simulator.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Modelo de simulação computacional para balanceamento de linhas de produção das empresas cerâmicas de São Miguel do Guamá: um estudo de caso(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-10-16) SILVA, Denilson Costa da; ICHIHARA, Jorge de Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5726366418302065This work is to present a computer simulation model for the purpose of solving the problem of balancing production lines of a factory belonging to the polo red ceramic potter-ceramic São Miguel of Guama. In this sense, it is initially performed a literature search on the discrete event systems, the methods of solution for line balancing and concepts involving the modeling and simulation. The methodology addresses the case study, which is conducted by the method proposed by Chwif (1999) in which covers three (03) macros stages in conducting a simulation project, whether the stage of design, implementation and analysis stage. With the computational model developed based on the current characteristics of the production line, one can describe the current state of the process, identify the problem operation as well as forward proposals for improvements from the construction of 03 scenarios. Where the third scenario presented the best results and, therefore, being the representative model of the balancing. At the end, it is understood as the main contributions of this work even bringing into the university experience of the practical application of simulation involving a ceramic industry of São Miguel of Guama and offer the industry of this region a potential tool for improving their processes productive.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Simulação computacional do mecanismo catalítico da enzima catecol o-metiltransferase(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-02-16) SILVA, Edson Leandro de Araújo; SILVA, Jerônimo Lameira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7711489635465954; https://orcid.org/ 0000-0001-7270-1517Methyl transfer reactions are very important in biological systems, the enzyme catechol O-methyltranferase catalyzes a transfer reaction of a methyl group of the co-substrate S-adenosylmethionine to dopamine. This disease is related to a Parkinson's disease that is a neurodegenerative disease that affects 7 to 10 million people of the world population, mainly a parcel over 60 years. Due to the importance of the reaction catalyzed by this enzyme, computational tools in conjunction with quantum mechanics methods were used to study the mechanism of reaction of the methyl transfer of S-adenosylmethionine to dopamine. In this study, the presence or not of Mg2+ in the reaction and changes in dopamine structure for catechol and phenol were taken into account in order to propose a quantum region more suitable for future non-enzymatic simulation work. The methods used in the PM6 semi-present method, the ab initio DFT and the MP2 correlation. The methods used include PM6 semiempirical method, ab initio DFT and perturbation MP2, where the first method was highlighted in the description of all reactions studied. The reaction with the catechol in the solvent had the following values of energy barriers: 18.62 kcal/mol (PM6); 9.91 kcal/mol (DFT); 14.44 kcal/mol (MP2). The presence of the Mg2+ ion in the same reaction with the catechol showed the following energy barrier values: 24.55 kcal/mol (PM6); 15.99 kcal/mol (DFT); 17.39 kcal/mol (MP2). The PCM solvation model was used to study a reference reaction in the enzymatic system and to analyze how energy barriers of the reaction in water and with barriers obtained in the gas.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Simulação computacional no auxílio à tomada de decisão nos processos industriais: utilizando a ferramenta Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 9.0(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-01) SANTOS, Eliton Smith dos; QUARESMA, João Nazareno Nonato; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7826389991864785Currently there are many automated production processes, which are becoming increasingly complex according to the needs of the modern world and therefore demand phases of projects and implementation of engineering tools even more powerful to model them and analyze them the most efficient manner possible. Multiconverter or multilevel systems are nothing more than DC microgrids composed of several power converters connected in cascade and/or in parallel. In this way, the multiconverter system described in this thesis has a DC - DC converter in the Buck topology, which is used as a source of direct voltage for the main bus of the microgrid, being an element of fundamental importance and whose voltage control is essential, because electronic loads are sensitive to voltage deviations. In order to control the voltage on the DC bus, the system is first modeled using the recursive least squares method, at which time the parametric variations are obtained forming a more comprehensive model called the interval transfer function, which is represented graphically by the extreme set. In a second moment, two robust controllers are developed, one through the extreme stability margins of the model culminating in a PI controller based on frequency response, and the other through an interval pole allocation control project in PID format. The robust performance of the controllers is evaluated through computational simulation, experimentally in the multiconverter system and, finally, using a quantitative analysis through performance indices.
