Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Percepção dos gestores de reservas extrativistas marinhas sobre os efeitos das mudanças climáticas no salgado paraense - Pará-Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-08-24) BECERRA RUIZ, Melgris José; SOUZA, Everaldo Barreiros de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6257794694839685; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6045-0984; PIMENTEL, Márcia Aparecida da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3994635795557609; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9893-9777Climate change is an issue that, since the last century has gained interest among scientists around the world, there are many information that have been turned to address this issue from different fronts, however, the perception of local communities is far away to be one of the most successful work topics. Brazil has a network of Extractive Reserves (RESEX), which is part of protected natural areas and where environmental managers participate who exercise control, monitoring, implementation of projects that serve as a basis for the conservation of RESEX, as well as a contact direct with local communities. Many mangrove ecosystems are concentrated in the RESEX of the Paraense coast. Around these ecosystems, traditional communities have settled that make use, enjoyment, and enjoyment of them, which have incorporated into their daily activities offered by the mangroves, which ranges from leisure, pleasure, and enjoyment to the generation of income to maintain the lifetime. In this sense, in this work the coastal region of the north of Pará was approached, the so-called Salgado Paraense with the aim of knowing the perception of local actors and the effects of climate change in this territory. To achieve this objective, the work was carried out in two phases. A first study was carried out to find out the amount of published bibliography on the perception of climate change around the world, in three main languages such as Spanish, English and Portuguese. For this bibliographic analysis, we applied natural language and machine learning to analyze more than 30,000 scientific articles. Some maps were produced on study trends, countries with major researchers interested in this topic, the methodologies used, and the approaches taken to understand the effects of climate change. Subsequently, in the second phase, surveys were applied to the environmental managers of the RESEX studied, to know their perception of climate change, interest in the adoption of adaptation strategies in the face of climate change and their perception of the role of the women in social dynamics within RESEX in the face of climate change threats. The findings suggest that studies on the perception of climate change in the coastal communities of northern Pará are necessary and have a lot of potential for their research, since the interested actors really have an affinity in adopting measures against the impacts of climate change, they show their concern about the effects on communities and mangroves, generating an alert and a call to incorporate local populations with more interest in the design and implementation of adequate and pertinent public policies. It is necessary that the actors of organized civil society, community, managers, and governments at different scales understand that the challenges are increasing to face climate change, this situation is worrying in various parts of the world, it is therefore, necessary to incorporate the vision of local communities.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Produção do espaço ribeirinho na Amazônia: uma análise a partir do contexto espacial em comunidades das ilhas de Abaetetuba-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-08-31) FERREIRA, Denison da Silva; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273The analysis undertaken here aims to emphasize the riverside dimension of space in the Amazon region of Tocantins in Pará, taking as its starting point the insular portion of the municipality of Abaetetuba, Northeastern Pará State, locally known as the ―Abaetetuba islands‖. We defend as a guiding thesis the existence of a riparian space production process in the Amazon, with regard to the study area, which is not an ―isolated‖ process, but integrates the broader movement of production in the regional space. The research is structured in four moments or analysis axes, preceded by the final considerations. At first, dissolved in the first chapter, we describe general aspects about the empirical spatial context from which we are proposing the construction of the research, that is, the Amazon region of Tocantins and particularly the islands of Abaetetuba. This is a preliminary characterization of the empirical reality to be studied, where aspects referring to both the territorial configuration and the riverside social dynamics will be considered. In the second and third moments (understood in the second and third chapters), we propose an exercise of regression, that is, of reconstituting some historical-spatial processes that had important correlations with the production of riverine space in the region, especially in the islands of Abaetetuba, such as the creation of the villages commanded by the missionaries during the first phase of Portuguese colonization in the region; the creation of captaincies and land grants; the establishment of Indian directories; the introduction of black slaves in the region; as well as the more systematic development of the sugarcane mills economy already in a post-colonial situation. In the fourth moment, we propose a return to the riverside spatial context in the present time, seeking to understand it in a more enlightened, resignified way. At this point, we take as a starting point the political organization strategies, especially those linked to land use, in view of their correlations with the dynamics of production in the riverside space. In line with the purposes of the research, we chose the (social) production of space as the guiding theory, placing the debates in the horizons opened by the dialectical perspective raised mainly in the writings of the philosopher Henri Lefebvre, whose foundations proved to be pertinent and adaptable to the development of the analysis proposed here. We start from the principle that the social practices projected in a given space also translate into space production practices. This production, however, does not refer strictly to the production of things, objects, or goods, but refers its understanding to the existence of social relations, which includes the production of objects and the production of space in a broad sense. It is from this perspective that we raise this analysis with the islands of Abaetetuba as the empirical locus of the research.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Revitalização e potencialização da atividade piscícola na comunidade remanescentes de quilombo de Itacoã-Miri (municipio de Acará - PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-02-25) SOUZA, Alex da Silva Lobão de; MITSCHEIN, Thomas Adalbert; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7431424927108512The present study evidences the reality of traditional community of remainders of “quilombo of Itacoã-Miri” located in the municipal district of Acará in the State of Pará, in Brazil, where the main sale coin is the handmade products, extraction, of vegetable and animal origin, that reach low prices, because its offer always tends to overcome the demand for wide margin, they live like this in subsistence economy, in way almost sustainable. The community development means the development of all its members jointly, united by the mutual help and for the collective ownership of certain essential means of production or distribution, in this way through meetings among community and technicians were proven that the fish culture is activity that better if insert, for being an activity that doesn't request a high instruction level tends in view the result obtained for the I diagnose as well as its age group of the habitants' instruction level, in that way it is objectified to Restructure the fish culture system, because they already meet existent before structures in the studied area. Through the interviews the great number of youths was evidenced, where the absorption of market.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) “A voz da selva” – educomunicação socioambiental e possibilidades de desenvolvimento local sustentável: experiências e práticas na Comunidade Boa Esperança – RDS Amanã/AM(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-09) SILVA, Marilena Loureiro da; FIGUEIREDO, Thiago Antônio de SousaThis work was carried out from the discussion about communication and local development, with the aiming to verify whether the use of social communication from residents of the communities, inserted inside Conservation Units of Sustainable Use, has contributed to the organization and consequently with the development of community activities in the locality, based on the concept of social and environmental sustainability. The work was carried out from a case study method and participant observation, a community located within the Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS) Amanã, in Amazonas state, using the analysis to two theoretical orientations: a) the critical theory, b) the theory of the reception that dislocates the studies of the communication for the cultural phenomena. In this context the results refer mainly to: a) the communication developed in the community of study, is associated in some elements of popular communication and community alternatives b) communication, alternative, popular, and community or in this case has contributed to the organization and conduct of community activities through the expansion of information concerning such activities related mainly to the social dimension of work, community organization, school and health; c) The radio, as a vehicle for oral and easy handle is the vehicle most used by residents of the community under study, as a tool for expansion on local information.
