Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Apropriação de conhecimentos científicos: uma abordagem aos alimentos transgênicos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-04-30) PEREIRA, Gerlany de Fátima dos Santos; FREITAS, Nádia Magalhães da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2982253212145468The approach to Transgenic Foods (TF) has acquired great importance in contemporary society, presenting itself as a subject much debated and controversial. These discussions occur primarily in the fields: environmental health, economics and ethics, among others. This research presents the scope of scientific knowledge of students in a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences about TF. We feel the need to understand "What the scientific students of the Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Federal University of Pará mobilize in relation to TF?" And, given such knowledge "How stand when asked to decision making?" This is a qualitative study conducted in the period comprised from may to august 2011, at the premises of the Institute of Education Math and Science, Federal University of Pará, through the development of the Extension Course: "Socio-scientific controversies in Science Teaching," with the TF issue. To survey the knowledge of students, we developed a questionnaire form in which we contemplate also a question calling for decision making in relation to the subject. Data on knowledge of the students were organized and analyzed through the construction of "Matrix of Comparative Cognition". In our evaluation, most subjects of this study provides relevant knowledge about what is transgenic. The understanding of students on the production of an TF, in general, is presented consistently to that found in the literature. We observed about the positive aspects of the production of these foods, the arguments used by students are very similar to those transmitted by the proponents of TF in the literature of the area. When asked about the negative aspects of the production of TF, we observed the subjects' concerns about the damage to the environment and about the lack of conclusive research results, with regard to benefits and / or harmful effects of these foods. Some students expressed concerns regarding the consumption of TF, especially health risks. They also mention that issue, the lack of conclusive studies on the question of possible harmful consumption of TF. There were several reasons cited by students to support the consumption of these foods, such as: the fight against hunger, more affordable, higher quality, durability, higher content of vitamins, improved nutritional quality of food and economic benefits. About the decision, the responses were divided into for and against. For the favorable, responses were from those who believe that GM crops can benefit the world population in the fight against hunger, even those who think these foods in nutritional improvements. Regarding students who protested against those who considered highlight the existence of other ways to improve the natural production of food, and believe to be much more beneficial for the population to encourage this without the use of agrochemicals and pesticides.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cultura e conhecimento sob a égide dos estudos culturais: um olhar a partir da produção acadêmica brasileira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-04-30) MENDES, Sandra Karina Barbosa; SILVA, Josenilda Maria Maués da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9246008698629513This research enterprise, develops an analysis about the culture and knowledge, two base categories in the field of cultural studies, with the objective of investigating how they are conceived in the texts published in the WG (work group) of curriculum WG-12 of the National Association of Post-Graduation (ANPEd), in the period from 2000 to 2006. In a derived way, I analyze the thematic emphasis, identified in the group of texts and the methodological thematic approaches realized by its authors, with the objective of obtaining a complete analytical board of the culture and knowledge categories as they are dealt with. As methodological procedures, there are the theorical studies of Raymond Williams, Stuart Hall and Tomaz Tadeu da Silva, authors who are national and international references in the field of cultural studies and the analysis of (16) texts, among posters and complete researches taken from ANPEd site - www.anped.org.br - In the WG of curriculum inserted in the theorical perspectives of cultural studies. Starting from the developed analysis, is possible state that the culture and the knowledge are conceived in these texts as meaning practices. The culture is not the simple transmission of tradition, values, habits and knowledges from generation to generation, but the culture is in the senses and meanings order, therefore, refers to the ways of interpretating and conceiving the world and is built up from the relationships that men and women establish between each other and the social groups. In the same way, the knowledge is built, produced by the culture and knowledge are analyzed in texts that discuss the cultural curriculums, specially the media in its several styles computer, electronic games, TV programs, magazines. The most usual theorical approaches involve authors as Tomaz Tadeu da Silva, the most quoted scholar, Michael Foucault, Homi Bhabha, Stuart Hall, Jean Claude Forquim, Gimeno Sacristan, Henry Giroux. The most used methodological approaches are the speech analysis and the documental analysis. Reflecting about the analysis that the texts develop about the curriculum, I realize two important ways of comprehension. One in which curriculum is conceived as cultural theory/practice, able to produce subjects and subjectivities and other in which there is a differentiation between theorical or official and real curriculum, in this way, the curriculum is conceived as an official document apart from the students daily experience. I observe, two theorical approaches being stressed in the same researching field, the critical and the post-structuralist, that are similar in some aspects and differentiate in others, but in what deals with culture and knowledge categories, it seems that exists an agreement in what refers to the natural relations with the meaning process, production of identities, subjectivities and the statement and production of differences.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fisiopsicologia e naturalização do conhecimento em Nietzsche(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-06) BARROS, Roberto de Almeida Pereira deNietzsche's reflection about knowledge is inseparable from the positivist context of German universities in the second half of the nineteenth century. Nietzsche assimilates from it a strong naturalistic tendency, which gives him arguments against the metaphysical-rationalist interpretation of knowledge. This article aims to analyze aspects of these assumptions with regard to his consideration of knowledge, that keeps him away from idealism to the naturalist reductionism.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) O trágico, o cômico e a "distância artística": arte e conhecimento n'A Gaia Ciência, de Nietzsche(2005-12) CHAVES, Ernani PinheiroThis reading of The Gay Science intends to show some important elements which, in this book, gravitate around the theme of "distance". Analysing particularly three aphorisms of the book, our goal is to clarify the movement, in the text and in Nietzsche's thought as well, from distance as Ferne, with its romantic source, to distance as Distanz. However, in the end, we intend to show that Nietzsche dislocates the romantic theme of the Ferne, taking it as an "artistic distance", which becomes the distinctive trace between the perspectives of art and knowledge.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Universidades públicas: das contribuições do conhecimento na Pós-Graduação ao desenvolvimento regional(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-12-22) SILVA, Keila Paiva da; BASTOS, Ana Paula Vidal; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1992388595130579This study presents an analysis on the contribution of the knowledge acquired in graduate school for Regional Development, grounding into two streams: one that defends the traditional idea of investment in basic science as an essential element for economic development of any region and one that supports the interdisciplinary response to the fragmentation caused by a positivist epistemology of nature that has been occupying more space in Brazilian universities with the increasing expansion of post-graduate studies before the need for the knowledge society, informational and globalized, modern science will impose as a solution to this new organizational form. The research was based on secondary data collection and these were analyzed using correlation coefficients, specialization and restructuring. The results of these regions showed that despite being in development, regional inequality still limits the innovation process in the country, this being one of the factors that prevent equitable economic growth of regions.
