Do esquecimento ao resgate histórico: as dinâmicas sociais e o processo de reorganização do patrimônio material dos veteranos de guerra do Pará na AECB-PA
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-02-07) MACHADO, Lucas Carnevale; COSTA, Diogo Menezes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3938588690473816; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4220-8232
This series of works is aimed at discussing, from the conceptual perspective of cultural heritage science, both the inventory process and the various dynamics that involve the process of abandonment and safeguarding of the Associação de Ex-combatentes do Brasil archives, Pará division (AECB-PA), in which a large part was lost by human or climate actions. The articles in which the work was divided present aspects attached to matters such as social issues, the historical construction of the archives, as well as internal and external views on the group of war veterans from Pará. This materiality contributed to analyzing the relationships, sometimes harmonious, sometimes conflicting, of the social group that produced this heritage with society, and the subsequent process of neglect and abandonment; it was necessary to address issues related to collective memory, individual narratives in addition to discussions about the comradeship space, and the social and original role of material traces of war veterans from Pará. In order to carry out this procedure, the archives were analyzed through multidisciplinary approaches of cultural heritage, related to archeology and history, by analyzing data, quantifying the documentary universe, such as the analysis of traces of the institutional abandonment, and historical narratives constructed by the veterans themselves

This thesis, presented in three articles, seeks to relate people, landscapes, and material culture, three important concepts to anthropology and archaeology. The junctions and disjunctions between the three objects, an opportunity to produce history, are brought out by archaeological work in the excavation of a mansion located in the historic Centre of Belém, in Pará, which was registered in this research as an archaeological site called Sesc Ver-o-Peso. The thesis defended here is that in the historic Centre of Belém, people, landscape and material culture carry out complex exchanges and intersections, which tell stories/histories. These histories can be written through archaeological and anthropological investigation in their interface with the problematization of cultural heritage. This thesis will form the articles that make up this final doctoral work.

Elaborated and used by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN), the National Inventory of Cultural References (INRC) is a research methodology for the registration of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Brazil since 2000 and is based on the law of registration and recognition of this type of heritage: Decree-Law 3.551 / 2000. In 2004, Círio de Nazaré, held in Belém, capital of the State of Pará, officially since 1793 was the first to use this methodology for the category of the register book of Celebrations. This celebration involves not only the capital and its metropolitan region but expands to several other cities in the state and other regions of Brazil. Being held in honor of Our Lady of Nazareth, the Círio has strong popular participation, becoming one of the great symbols of manifestation coming from the people and their interaction with the sacred. This research aims to analyze the applicability of this methodology in Círio de Nazaré and the documentary basis of the process that results in the production of a representation of the identified Intangible Cultural Heritage, specifically the content of the documents referring to the spectacle Auto do Círio, performed by the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) since 1993 and its representation within the registry. Seeking to identify the flow of information and mediations that occur in the heritage and its social range of meanings and symbols, the study explores the social context of the term “Cultural Heritage”, its construction and its informational side in relation to the user. Based on the information contained in the documents present in the Archive of the Superintendence of IPHAN in Pará (Forms, Filled Questionnaires, Photographs and Newspapers) and the INRC product: The Dossier Círio (2006). The results present the documentary basis of the INRC Círio process and the survey of information about Auto do Círio within the process.

O Lugar do patrimônio cultural contemporâneo: conceito e realidade a partir de uma visão amazônica
(Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada, 2011-11) NASCIMENTO, Claudia Helena Campos
This article intends to discuss about the cultural heritage and their Place, as symbolic and physic aspects, and the “invisibility” of their elements, through two ethnography exercises: in a rural site in Bujaru/PA town and an urban situation in Belém (capital of the state of Pará-Brazil). Both of them have relevant material elements to preserve: in the rural community (Santana do Bujaru) has a bicentennial church and, in the city of Belém, more than a hundred of sculptural objects situated in public spaces. The analysis intends to characterize the cultural heritage “locus” as Memory Place or Sites of Memory (Pierre Nora) and Non-Places (Marc Augé), intending to understand how these concepts are important to comprehend the cultural heritage in the contemporary society and what elements made the invisibility a symptom of Modernism.

Museus e Patrimônio: Pensamento Cibertecnológico e Cultura Digital
(Universidade de Brasília, 2021-12) SILVA, Carmen Lucia Souza da; MELO, Ana Claudia da Cruz
In this work, we present a reflection on how digital technologies have changed the way we experience museums and cultural heritage in the last decades and even in a context of social isolation motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic. We revisit the ideas and thoughts of theorists such as Wiener, Haraway, Pre ciado and Levy to reflect, from cybernetics to cyborg and datacentric culture, on these transformations when considering the sub ject-technology-society interrelationship. For that we also point out formative or historical landmarks, in Brazil and in the world, which culminate in a range of resources that expand memories and museological spaces with the impulse of cyber technologies. Advents that are at the base of what is called digital cul ture, where society is remodeled, affected by technological addenda. We also bring results from cartographies of spaces on the internet of Brazilian museum institutions, carried out between 2018 and 2020, which signal how we are in an immersion process in digital culture.
