Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aprendizagem baseada em projetos mediada pelo uso de WebQuest na formação inicial de professores de língua inglesa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-20) MARTINS, Tania Cristina Silva; ARAÚJO, Marcus de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1803218796986644; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5403-0879The professional development of pre-service English language teachers plays a fundamental role in the context of contemporary Brazilian education, such as, for example, in preparing future teachers for the development of lifelong learning skills, namely, good communication, critical thinking, digital literacy, among others, just to name a few. Such teacher development can help the teacher to better identify, critically and reflectively, the needs and interests of students, and enable personalized learning, through each student's life projects. Therefore, this research aimed to present an educational process based on project-based learning (PBL), mediated by the use of WebQuest, for pre-service English language teachers. Grounded in the principles of the qualitative research approach and using the action research method, the educational process, entitled “WebQuest: project-based learning in English language teaching”, was planned, applied and evaluated in the context of the degree subject “Technologies in the teaching and learning of foreign languages”, in the English language teaching major, at the Faculty of Modern Foreign Languages (Faculdade de Letras Estrangeiras Modernas - FALEM), at the Federal University of Pará (Universidade Federal do Pará - UFPA). The results of the evaluation of the educational process demonstrate its effectiveness in contributing to the pre-service English language teachers' professional development, by creating conditions for meaningful learning about PBL, mediated by the potential of WebQuest, both as a technological resource and as a methodology. It should be noted that this educational process was evaluated by student-participants in the research and by expert teachers. Furthermore, by integrating PBL and WebQuest, the educational process gained aspects of innovation and replicability. It is concluded that this research can contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of study of PBL in the Brazilian context of teaching and learning the English language, with regard to curricular integration, teacher development and the incorporation of digital technologies in PBL.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ensino de ciências: uma proposta formativa para futuros professores dos anos escolares iniciais no estudo de energia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-09) HIRAI, Lêda Yumi; Fraiha-Martins, France; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4765567823575996; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7933-6014This is qualitative research in the narrative modality, based on the initial training of students of the Integrated Degree in Sciences, Mathematics and Languages for the Initial Years of Elementary Education, at the Federal University of Pará. Objective to understand the training processes experienced by future teachers in the early years when participating in a practice based on hybrid teaching, especially on the theme Energy in the rotation model by stations, in order to elaborate a proposal for the initial training of teachers to teach science in the early years. For the development of the analyzes and results, the field diary was used, the audio recording material made during the empirical research, as well as the material produced by the students in the tasks performed. And as a method of analysis, Discursive Textual Analysis was selected to understand the investigated narratives. In general, the undergraduates were interested in the practice, they had not had contact with the methodology of rotation by stations. The activities promoted reflections on the arrangement of tasks within each station, the contents and how the teacher's posture should be as a mediator of knowledge, guiding and guiding students towards knowledge. Through the results, the educational product entitled “ENERGY IN SCIENCE TEACHING: teaching practice of Station Rotation with students in the early school years” was created, considering its use by future teachers in the early school years to teach the energy theme. The material produced has three (03) units with information on the preparation of the activities script, suggestions of materials and technological tools to be used, I also present the planning of each station, containing lesson plans. In view of the training processes that were experienced by undergraduate students of the Integrated Licentiate course, I believe that the training proposal was accepted satisfactorily, being evidenced in the narratives of the undergraduates, when they point out their reflections on the theme and the material developed.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Percepção de professores de matemática em formação inicial acerca do uso do aplicativo Plickers como ferramenta avaliativa de aprendizagem(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2020-08) MARINHO, Karem Keyth de Oliveira; NICOT, Yuri Expósito; SALES, Elielson Ribeiro deThe present study investigated the perception of students with a Degree in Mathematics about the use of Plickersapplication as a learning assessment tool from qualitative research configured as a participant, using questionnaires and participant observation as research techniques. The 11 research subjects performed a formative evaluation using the application and, shortly after, evaluated it technically and pedagogically. The results showed the students' interest in using Plickers, in which they indicated little operational difficulties and, as the task was developed, adopted a critical-reflexive posture. We verified that Plickerscan be a relevant technological tool for Mathematics classes, and we realize that researches like these go beyond resource evaluation, contributing to the initial formation of teachers since they allow a critical look at the task performed, which in this study was focused on aspects about new evaluative possibilities of learning.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Rotação por estação na educação básica: uma proposta para o ensino de botânica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-08-13) CARVALHO, Mirta Cecília Pinheiro de; FRAIHA-MARTINS, France; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4765567823575996; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7933-6014This is a qualitative research, in the narrative modality, which is based on my teaching experiences with students from the 7th year of basic education, in a municipal public school in Thailand-PA, developed in the classroom, with the aim of investigating how a teaching proposal based on hybrid teaching, in the modality rotation by station, can contribute to the teaching of botany in basic education. There were 4 subjects analyzed in this research, who were chosen based on significant information regarding the research question and the outlined objectives, according to the following criteria: i) manifestations about the potential of the teaching proposal regarding the use of technology for learning of botanical concepts; ii) manifestations about the potential of the proposal for the development of student protagonism and iii) manifestations that evidence student learning about botany. As investigative instruments, I used a questionnaire to obtain information about the students' knowledge of the topic under study, I used a diary where my reflections and perceptions throughout the research were recorded, student diaries containing the learning records on the subject, semi-structured written and audio interviews and photographic records. In order to produce new understandings about the phenomenon investigated, I use Discursive Textual Analysis as a methodology for analyzing the empirical material. After a process of immersion in the empirical material, I systematized two thematic axes of analysis: i) Hybrid teaching in basic education: technologies and student protagonism; ii) Rotation by stations: enabling learning about botanical concepts. In the first analytical axis, I discuss the potential of using digital technologies in the classroom, especially the practice of hybrid teaching through rotation by station, in order to contribute to the development of student and teacher protagonism with a view to learning botany. In the second axis, I seek to highlight the students' learning about botanical groups-resulting from the rotational process and discuss, through reflection on their own practice, the teaching learning on the subject. The analyzes reveal that the inclusion of digital technologies in the classroom enabled student engagement based on stimuli to the processes of collaboration, autonomy and authorship. Furthermore, in practice, it was possible to infer about the need for change in the teaching action, especially in an adverse technological scenario that requires the assumption of the teaching protagonism, which needs to be the author of its own practice, becoming a mediator of student learning. Regarding the learning about botanical groups, the analyzes reveal an appropriation of scientific concepts that allowed students to identify the general characteristics that define such groups from an evolutionary perspective. Furthermore, when reflecting on their own practice, the teacher realizes that, when performing differentiated teaching practices, they must be attentive to seek approximation between school scientific knowledge and the reality of students, creating conditions for the social and critical use of the knowledge learned. Thus, it is possible to consider that the investigated teaching proposal can constitute an efficient practice by providing learning processes that create conditions for authorship, in addition to allowing discussions and reflections about the roles of the teacher and the student in these processes, in particular, regarding the use of digital technologies. As a result of this study for society, an book will be made available in digital format, which presents the contribution of the emerging paradigm in education, in particular the use of technology, the foundations of the hybrid teaching proposal and the path of construction of stations involving teacher planning and student activity itineraries, in order to introduce teachers and students to new ways of teaching and learning botany.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Transformações químicas: uma proposta de ensino híbrido para os primeiros anos escolares(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12-13) SOUSA, Angerley de Jesus; FRAIHA-MARTINS, France; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4765567823575996; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7933-6014Highlights the importance of hybrid teaching using the rotation by stations model to teach the content of reversible and irreversible transformations of the material axis and energy of the science content according to the BNCC (National Common Curriculum Base) for the fourth year of elementary school. Aiming to understand in what terms this teaching proposal contributes to teach this content, investigating the use of the hybrid teaching approach using the rotational model by seasons, to teach transformations in the initial years. The context of the research took place in a public school with a class of 4° year, where I elected seven subjects for analysis within the qualitative research, where I opted for a narrative modality, that is developed considering the narratives of the participants involved in the phenomenon investigated. The pedagogical mediation carried out by the teacher is pointed out as a driver of new reworkings according to the theme of study, another relevant point in the results was about collaborative work that proved to be a motivational factor for learning within the proposal of hybrid teaching using the rotational model by seasons, as well as the exemption of digital technologies, developing a digital literacy, consequently motivating students within the knowledge building process. Libâ-neo (2011), Prensky (2010), Roldão (2007), Santos and Schnetzler (1996), Zanon and Palharini (1995), Fontana and Cruz (1997) and Bacich, Tanzi Neto and Trevisani (2015). The analyses show that the station rotation model built and investigated shows that students participate, work in groups, build knowledge, develop different types of ac-tivities and explore various forms of learning, noting that each group and student learns at their own pace the content of transformation. Understanding the dimension of multiple learning processes, the fickle search for improvement of teaching, an understanding of their skills and the strengthening of each student’s progress.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) O uso de tecnologias digitais no desenvolvimento de atividades de modelagem matemática(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-04-07) MENEZES, Rhômulo Oliveira; ESPÍRITO SANTO, Adilson Oliveira do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5870609258842071; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2816-0941In this work, I have investigated the use of digital technologies in the development of Mathematical Modeling activities by students of undergraduate course graduation in Mathematics. So I conducted a qualitative research, collecting data Experimental Laboratory of Mathematical Molding (EMML/CUNCAST/UFPA), of which found record (physical, digital, audiovisual) produced by graduate students of the Mathematics Degree course that have developed Mathematics molding activities. For being records from different documentation and recording techniques, I opted for the ‘data triangulation’ for the analysis of these records. Gather and analyze daily records and presentations records allowed to choose three mathematical modeling activities. With the description of these activities could analyze them in two stages. In the first stage by putting moments development mathematical modeling activities in which there was the use of digital technologies, or at times when students because of this use made decisions that impacted the mathematics molding process. In the second stage, bring clippings extracted from the first stage, in which establish informed in Lévy, Asmann and others. This analysis showed, in the interaction between students and teacher mediator with digital and computer models, decision making opportunities on the routes to be followed in development of mathematical modeling activities. Another strong aspect and placed in the discussions was the gain in thematic feasibility of recent research that Mathematical Modeling had with the popularization of the Internet as a source of research.
