Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Descrição e notas taxonômicas comparativas das terminálias femininas de espécies de Peckia robineaudesvoidy, 1830 (Diptera, Sarcophagidae) da Amazônia brasileira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-04-03) CAMARGO, Sofia Lins Leal Xavier de; CARVALHO FILHO, Fernando da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7987049452090800; ESPOSITO, Maria Cristina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2112497575917273Description and comparative morphological notes of female terminalia of species of Peckia Robienau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Diptera, Sarcophagidae) from the Brazilian Amazon. In order to contribute and allow specific identification of female of the genus Peckia, the terminalia of 15 species that occurs in Brasilian Amazon are described, illustrated and an identification key to females is given. Besides gena color and the presence of setulae in gena and calypter, the shape of spermathecae and tergite 6 can also be used in the subgenus determination. The sternites 6, 7 and 8, the position of spiracle 6 and the microtrichosity of tergite 6 reveled important to specific identification. The tergite 8 is present only in the species Peckia (Pattonella) intermutans (Walker, 1861). The shape of vaginal plate, a structure present only in four species of subgenus Peckia, differs in shape and can be used to characterize these species. Therefore, a combined analysis of these features of female terminalia is necessary in the species determinationof the females of Peckia. Peckia (Peckia) hilifera (Aldrich, 1916) is recorded for the first time from Brazil.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Métodos de coletas de mosquitos (Diptera: Culicidae) alternativos ao de atração humana direta(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) VIEIRA, Paoola Cristina Bezerra; GORAYEB, Inocêncio de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2391620537048479Some methods capture of mosquitoes already had been developed, demonstrating that it had an evolution of the types of the trap to the long one of the time, however none has shown to be comparable to the direct human attraction (AH). This work had for objective, to test the methods alternative, developed to collect mosquitoes, including the development of new techniques, that can substitute the traditional method of direct human attraction. The study it was developed next to “Parque Ambiental de Belém”, Pará state, Brazil. The used methods were: traps CDC, CDC UV, Shannon, trap developed by Rocha, trap developed by Gorayeb and collect for AH direct. The traps were installed in six points, for six consecutive nights. Were captured 13,099 specimens of Culicidae of seven genera and 27 species, being Anopheles trianulatus the most abundant. The direct human attraction, what it collected greater diversity and abundance of mosquitoes, followed of the Shannon’s trap for abundance and Gorayeb’s trap for diversity.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Revisão taxonômica e análise filogenética das espécies de Retrocitomyia Lopes, 1983 (Diptera: Sarcophagidae)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12-17) SOUZA, Caroline Costa de; PATIU, Cátia Antunes de Mello; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6111953763967066; CARVALHO FILHO, Fernando da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7987049452090800Retrocitomyia Lopes, 1983 is a Neotropical genus of medium-sized flesh flies (5-11 mm), characterized mainly by the postgonite laterally curved and pointed apex. This genus comprises 10 valid species which biology is poorly known. The taxonomic revision of the genus resulted in 11 species, being one new species, Retrocitomyia silveirai sp. n. All species are redescribed and illustrated. Distribution maps and an update of key for male identification is provided. In addition, it is proposed a hypothesis of the phylogenetic relationship to the species of the genus, based on 19 external morphological characters of male adults, mainly from terminalia. The analysis has 14 terminal taxa, being 11 ingroup and three outgroups. The monophyly of Retrocitomyia was recovered sustain by four autapomorphies: (1) abdominal ST5 with posterior arm long, (2) abdominal ST5 with median lobe rounded, (3) median lobe of abdominal ST5 protruding, (4) cercus with a dorsal concavity. The result of phylogenetic analysis shows a basal polytomy included the type-species (R. retrocita) and R. mizuguchiana, R. silveirai sp. nov., R. adolenda, e R. fluminensis. Besides that, the analysis recovered a clade (Clade A) formed by (R. andina, (R. mexicana + R. trinitatensis), (R. sisbiota + (R. urumajoensis + R. paraguayensis)).
