Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As condições de emergência da escola de engenharia do Pará (1870 – 1931)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) RIBEIRO, Erick Elisson Hosana; ALVES, José Jerônimo de Alencar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9586790409626243The School of Engineering of Para was founded in 1931 on the initiative of local engineers who worked in the region since the late 1870s, and the purpose of this work is to investigate the conditions that allowed the emergence of this institution of learning. To understand these conditions, we take the period from 1870 to 1930 and analyze how arose the demand for engineers in the region and how engineers have been gaining ground in local society. Furthermore, we analyze how was the work of the engineers founders of the School in the institutions of government. Finally we analyze the process of formation of these engineers, and taking into account that most of them studied in Rio de Janeiro we present an analysis of the contents in the curricula of the Polytechnic School of Rio de Janeiro. According to the discourses of the time, we observed that the demand for engineers had their moment of greatest intensity during the Belle-Époque, due to the large volume of public works undertaken in this period, however, this demand has occurred in the later periods. These were conditions that made possible the founding of the School. Since then, engineer’s school founders worked in various projects in the region, especially those developed by the Division of Public Works in order to promote the modernization of the region. This action enabled the recognition of engineer’s social class and contributed to the emergence of the School of Engineering that culminated in the creation of the Engineering Club (1919), which played an important role in creating and maintaining school. Finally, by analyzing the formation, we conclude that this enabled the performance of engineers as school teachers and strongly influenced the initial curriculum of the institution, becoming one of the emergency conditions of the School.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Diretrizes para a melhoria do nível de serviço logístico na execução de perícias criminais de engenharia civil: um estudo de caso(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-06-28) CARVALHO, André Brasil de; NEVES, Renato Martins das; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6538317425557058In this work are discussed issues related to verification and analysis of logistical service level provided by the State in the execution of criminal civil engineering expertise. Were considered factors such as equipment and means of transport used, qualification of professionals involved, standardization of procedures adopted and expert reports. The goal is to obtain guidelines on activity studied through identification of potential opportunities for improvement in the management of this area of Criminalistics and considering the logistical components of performance related to key factors: inventory, transportation, facilities and information. The research methodology used was the case study, with the use of statistical reports and semi-structured interviews with the managers of the body responsible for forensic activity in Pará. Regarding the results obtained, when the the content's interviews was analyzed, it was noted that the working hypotheses has a correlation with some guidelines, such as the increase in efficiency of logistic service level in activity studied through the adoption of standardized operating procedures.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “Pedagogia da engenharia”: Brasília arquitetada nos jornais (1956-1960)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-06) SANTOS, Michelle dosThe work plan "PEDAGOGY OF ENGINEERING": BRASÍLIA ARCHITECTED IN NEWSPAPERS (1956-1960) aims to present the new capital as an imaginary construction of multiple meanings in graphic parks – even before its inauguration in "concrete" on April 21, 1960 – and to promote a debate to extend the notions of architecture and engineering, admitting them as expressions not only physical, but also narrative, of power and symbolism of a people, a city or political regime, considering the study and analysis of journalistic sources produced at the time of the Brasilia edification (1956-1960). To do so, we use the concepts of modernity and modernist city, from James Holston (1993) and Marshall Berman (2007), among other titles on the historiography of the Juscelino Kubitschek’s synthesis. The methodological approach is grounded in analysis of contemporary bibliographies on the history of architecture and engineering, in a diachronic perspective that goes through Brazil and gets out in the world. Preliminarily, it was concluded that, in any case, “saying” becomes “doing”, and the "written city" is as real as the one upraised by the “candangos”. The importance of this study for the literary field is that it interrelates, in a theoretically prolific way, the research and the teaching, the print journalism and the recent history of our country.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Realidade aumentada e o cálculo de medida de área no ensino superior(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2021-04) BRAGA, Kayla Rocha; NUNES, José Messildo VianaThis paper presents a proposal for the use of Augmented Reality technology while using the teaching of area measurement as a reference. The intervention was undertaken in an undergraduate class of the Electrical Engineering course at the Federal University of Maranhão. The theoretical foundation was based on the Instrumental Approach, which permitted an analysis regarding the use of Augmented Reality technology as a teaching tool in higher education. The research was structured in twostages: the instrumentalization, which took place in two steps, the first one related to the use of Augmented Reality, while the second step involved installing a software to develop Augmented Reality; and the second, instrumentation, with the resolution of tasks, without and with the use of Augmented Reality, followed by an interview with the participants. The data obtained during the research enabled us to identify the transition from artifact to instrument with the use of Augmented Reality technology, as well as to verify that when the floor plan was being projected in 3D, students changed their ideas regarding the need to consider the thickness in the calculations undertaken, thereby starting to establish a better relationship with the notion ofarea and area measurement.
