Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Diagnóstico ambiental de nascentes: um estudo de caso da bacia hidrográfica do Rio Marapanim - Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) FARIAS, Marília Gabriela de Sena; LIMA, Aline Maria Meiguins de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6572852379381594The water problem over the years has gained importance in the national scenario,In this context, the State of Pará, despite having an abundance of water resources, has been in charge of these discussions, as has happened in the mobilization of the Marapanim river basin committee. The Marapanim river basin, located in the state of Pará, in the municipality of Marapanim, has clearly undergone several processes of environmental degradation, especially in its springs located in urban perimeters, it is evident that these have suffered a strong anthropic influence. Due to the local importance and the need for preservation of the sources, this research aims to carry out the environmental diagnosis in the sources of the Marapanim-Pará river basin, based on a proposal of a macroscopic environmental assessment and with the perception of residents around the springs, and the actors involved in the formation of the Marapanim river basin committee. Based on this, analyzes of the environmental quality of six sources of the Marapanim river basin were carried out. The diagnosis used the methodology of Gomes et al. the 2005, in which macroscopic parameters were taken into consideration for the study, including the apparent color of water, odor, trash, floating materials, vegetation, presence of oils and sewage, protection of springs, type of insertion area where they were located, proximity to residences and their uses (both by humans and by animals). In the study area, it was observed that of the six sources investigated ten points obtained a diagnosis of their macroscopic parameters of Bad and one point was characterized as Bad. As for turbidity, the most compromised source studied through this parameter was the Pirapema spring, which obtained 179 (UNT), a high degree of degradation was observed, as there is a strong occurrence of sewage discharge, as well as degradation of the riparian forest has influence of the urbanization, translated by means of disordered occupation. The perception of the people interviewed, when questioned if they identified problems with the sources, the majority (92.59%) of the interviewees, affirmed that yes. At the end of the study it was suggested the recovery of four springs and management of two of the six springs studied.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O "eu" e o verde: percepções sobre a natureza e a biodiversidade na área urbana do município de Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-09-29) CARMO, Taiane Novaes do; MARTINS, Marlúcia Bonifácio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8882047165338427; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4171-909XGreen areas play a crucial role in human well-being, offering spaces for relaxation and connection with nature. In addition to promoting mental and emotional health, they provide environments conducive to physical activities and social interactions, contributing to an improved quality of life in urban areas. In this study, a series of interviews were conducted with pedestrians in Belém, aiming to investigate the interactions between socio-environmental factors and human well-being within the urban context. The scope of the investigation focused on analyzing the perceptions of urban residents regarding green areas and examining how such perceptions influence individuals' well-being and their connections with local biodiversity. The underlying hypothesis subjected to analysis asserts that positive interactions with green areas are associated with an increase in the level of human well-being and, consequently, a greater valuation and conservation of these spaces. The analysis of the results revealed that perceptions of green areas may sometimes diverge from the environmental reality; however, the interviewed individuals frequently shared feelings of proximity and benefits within the urban context. Notably, plants with dietary and medicinal utilities played a prominent role in promoting health. Additionally, positive attitudes towards fauna were common in well-preserved green areas. Conversely, negative perceptions were often linked to a lack of knowledge about proper management practices and deficiencies in maintaining natural environments. The analysis of pedestrians' responses in Belém highlights the discrepancy between perception and the reality of the green environment, while underscoring the affinity and perceived biodiversity benefits in the urban context.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Impactos socioambientais da implantação de grandes projetos na Amazônia: uma análise da percepção ambiental no município de Barcarena (Pará, Brasil)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-06-28) ALMEIDA, Raimundo da Costa; SILVA, Christian Nunes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4284396736118279; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7753-5394The present project proposes to carry out a study of environmental perception on the large mining enterprises in the Municipality of Barcarena, in the State of Pará. The study will be carried out based on the hierarchy of needs proposed by Abraham Maslow (2014), sustainable development variables and large mining projects in the Amazon. The research will seek to answer the following question: How does the implementation of large projects in the Amazon affect the environmental perception of the population of the municipality of Barcarena (Pará, Brazil), considering the socio-environmental impacts resulting from these projects? The main hypothesis for this question considers that: the implementation of large projects in the Amazon has caused significant socio-environmental impacts in the municipality of Barcarena (Pará, Brazil), which affect the environmental perception of the local population. And it will have as its general objective: To understand, from the perception of society in the Municipality of Barcarena, how the variables of sustainable development (social, economic, spatial, environmental, cultural and political) are impacted by large mining projects in the Amazon. The specific objectives will be: to examine whether political leaders, representatives of organized civil society and the population of the Municipality of Barcarena, through their perceptions, relate the negative externalities that impact the Municipality to large mining enterprises; assess whether large mining projects are implemented in a Top Down manner; and analyze, based on official data, how mining projects in the municipality of Barcarena have impacted on sustainable development. The product generated by the research will be a manual for claiming, monitoring and controlling the implementation of mitigation measures for large projects in the Amazon. The survey will be carried out with the application of online questionnaires to the population and in person to a sample of the target audience of the online survey, with the aim of carrying out the reambulation of the online survey. A social cartographic survey will also be carried out, with the traditional population impacted by mining projects.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Proposições para o fortalecimento da educação ambiental na área de influência da UHE Tucuruí: sob o olhar da percepção ambiental de docentes do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-06-29) TEIXEIRA, Thaise Daniele Paixão; ROCHA, Gilberto de Miranda; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2436176783315749The study examines environmental perception considering the construction of the Tucuruí Hydroelectric Power Plant, which led to a series of spatial, social, and environmental changes within the project's affected area. This transformation altered the human-nature relationship and individuals' perception of their environment. The research aims to contribute to the strengthening of public policies, particularly within the framework of measures designed to mitigate the impacts of hydroelectric plants. This will be achieved through an analysis of the Environmental Perception of public school teachers involved in the environmental education program of the Tucuruí Hydroelectric Power Plant within its scope of influence. The study is conducted across six schools situated in the municipalities of Tucuruí and Breu Branco, involving a total of 60 teachers and 6 administrators as participants. Data collection involved semi-structured interviews with school administrators and open-ended questionnaires directed to teachers. Quantitative data were systematically processed and organized, with results depicted in graphs. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, aided by the IRaMuTeQ Software. The outcomes of this investigation revealed that the majority of participants possessed knowledge about the educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the Environmental Education Program (AEP) of the Tucuruí HPP. However, despite acknowledging the program's limitations, most teachers believe that the AEP contributes to mitigating environmental degradation in the vicinity of the Tucuruí HPP. Nevertheless, it is imperative to critically examine the socio-economic and cultural context of the communities, identifying potential issues before implementing activities. This entails considering the diverse environments and historical ties of those affected by the project. Consequently, investing in and intensifying the program's presence within the school environment becomes essential. This underscores the need for enhanced training and program adjustments that foster meaningful learning and the development of environmentally conscious citizens.
